They can come across as trying too hard or self-conscious or not convincing. But Keith was very naturalistic & was saying his lines, listening, and reacting in the moment. Which is the basis for all good acting.

I think I thought he was an actor, pretending to be some ball player named Keith Hernandez, it’s only very recently that I’ve come to learn that he is kind of a big deal.

Considering he had never acted or even wanted to be an actor, he did an amazing job. I think maybe he missed his calling.
