Considering you run some of the best electronics, highest speed runs on TH-cam...it's cool you shared the way you solder your stuff. I'll be sure to watch this again when I try to do it myself
This is my first time going to be soldering QS8 connectors on my EC5 CNHL lipos. The batteries are brand new so I need to have them a certain charged before cutting the negative and positive wire?? And also which one do I cut first just wanna make sure I don’t short anything out and any tips the video was great!! Just lmk
I use this 40watt station on highest temp www.amazon.com/Weller-WLC100-40-Watt-Soldering-Station/dp/B000AS28UC/ref=asc_df_B000AS28UC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198103947043&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10788474681605956066&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007799&hvtargid=pla-448477212877&psc=1
How does your solder stay wet looking. I just spend 4 hours trying to solder a qs10 and I pray I made enough contact. What temp, type of solder, flux, etc?
just the max temp with this Weller 40watt station. I use Kester 60/40 solder. U have to make sure the tip you are using is sharpened clean. I use a grinding wheel to sharpen and clean it up
I ruined 10 connections 20 connectors & I bought 2 different solder guns…. I still can’t do this shit man wtf just balls up doesn’t want to stick to the connector or the wire, just stays on my tip
Thank you for the video. This is exactly what I needed. No more melted ec5 connectors for me.
No problem man, glad this video was a help or modavation to you
You made it look easy. I always get a little solder outside the Terminal. Great explanation !!!

It wouldn't matter what voltages you have the pack at, or which wire u cut first. Just don't cut both wires at the same time.
Safety first 😮 , when do soldering use cover on battery leads for accidently dont contect - +
Oh yes that is covered in this video link below. This particular video was a quicker sum up.

What's the wattage on your soldering iron? My 80watt doesn't seem to get hot enough

Is it possible to solder 4 or 6 Awg wire to it?
Yes 6AWG is more ideal because the cover caps fit 6AWG wiring. If u run 4AWG the cover caps won't fit u would have to alter caps or not use them
How many watt soldering iron do I need?
I am using a 40 watt seller at Mac wattage.
How many watts is your soldering iron, please 😉
40watts

He funny AF he said he doesn't use helping hands cause he solder's for a living 😅😅but on his other video he's using them. 😂😂 🤡
Quote "I don't need helping hands". Thanks for taking the time watching both videos. But don't twist up what I say.
