Great Video ! Nice, Hyped Band Posters ( from the Window Displays ) rolled up at the top of the stairs in Crash Records and Free ! , to Go !. Leeds Record Fair, always the second Saturday of the month, busy one minute, quiet the next and you managed to make a Great Video !
Great selections and footage John. Being from Leeds originally, I get back now and again and also spotted a few of my mates who are sellers at the fair! Need to get up to Newcastle next!
Hey John, nice selections at the fare, I have those two double Country Funk albums. They’re really great tunes on both of them. I bought them at the beginning of the vinyl resurgence in 2012 here in the states.
I think I forgot to ask Martin if you guys went to Crash. What a killer meetup John. I would have been honored to hang and dig with you all. One of these days I am going to visit that great country of yours. Speaking of country. Where you overall happy with the Link Wray album? I was a bit let down. I hate to use the word overrated. Because everyone has a different appreciation for every album that was ever released. I was expecting a little more guitar I guess. I really dug the stuff from the sixties that he did with the Raymen. That poster from
Hi, I've just discovered your channel :-) My name is Craig originally from Birmingham UK and I moved to Spain late last year, you look familiar 🙂 Not sure if our paths have crossed before. Anyway I'll be sure to watch from here on in and the mammoth task of your previous videos lol. All the best - Craig
Brilliant video John. Such a shame I couldn't be there with you all. Look after that Martin Parrott compilation. It's bound to be collectable before you know it. Cheers
Hi John, that mix CD from Martin is intriguing stuff. He really knows what he's doing. I've listened to it 4 or 5 times already but haven't managed to identify any of the bands. Cheers Mike
Oh man, I used to absolutely rinse those Mystic Brew Comps the Qball & Curt Cazel track is an absolute neck snapper, I’ve got a Spanky Wilson version of ‘Sunshine Of Your Love’ on one volume. Absolute dance-floor mayhem guaranteed. That Crash Records looks incredible. Glad you had a great time.I would love that Ray Barreto comp, I’m a big fan.

'Fire and Brimstone' is terrific. No doubt you have The Neville Brothers version, from their fantastic 'Yellow Moon'. Desert island disc.

I used to go to the Griffin hotel back in the late eighties to the record fairs they held.

Some great pick ups John and I agree that Martin's comp is an eclectic delight. Looking forward to catching up again at the next one.
