0:52 LOL, What a FLEX! you started it 3 years too late to reach pro level as a hobby and accidentally became a title-winning 8p pro, boss move! I find it amazing that top women pros, even female number one's like 좋해연先生 came to the west to help us with our embarrassingly weak level of go. Western fans would be extatic if Lee Sedol, Lee Changho, or Shin Jinseo came to the west to promote go but it never happens with the top male pros sadly . . . I don't blame them. Yu Changhuk seems like the kind of teacher I would like for myself, I always want the most severe critism of my moves.
It's quite sad that many healthy activities stopped during the pandemic, but it's especially sad if some Asian countries are slow to reintroduce these healthy activities, since the increase in peoples health will result in a net reduction in deaths. It's a bit creepy that that you both mentioned unconscious psycology as preferred subjects since for the past few years that's exactly the subject matter of the book I'm writing that's essentially starting a religion from scratch through unconscious psycological and genetic biological first principles, one for lack of a better term I hope would be 'revolutionary'. I hope to finish it within five years and then go and live away from the human population in Africa somewhere although I might teach 바둑, science and math to girls and their parents who cannot afford school. The page doesn't exist anymore, but it showed clearly that the peak performance years of most pros is 24 to 36 years old from conception, which suggests human life span is best measured at a rythym of six year intervals like the six points given to white at the start of the 바둑 game. I've wondered for a while what it feels like for pros when they approach 36, so thank you very much for that answer! It must feel weird. What is it that makes pros lose their ability as they age? Health? I wonder, recently sometimes when she has losing streaks I worry if she might be feeling a bit depressed. A rare number of pros reach near peak at 18, mostly Korean and chinese, while a rare number of pros stay at peak until 42, mostly Japanese pros. 최정先生 is one of the less common pros who keep improving significantly after reaching Korea top 20 level in their mid twenties, so I think 최정先生 is more like a Japanese pro who is a late bloomer. If I'm going to be honest, when I decided I want to become pro at 12 years old, I was most encouraged by the top women players as child and always followed how well they were doing in tournaments and rankings. Actually when I was I child I was borderline obsessive about women pros doing well in tournaments and rankings probably because like myself as player outside of Asia they were from a demographic people didn't expect to do well and Iove the concept of proving people wrong, and if women pros could reach such a high level I have no excuse not to try to get to that level. So 최정先生 qualifying for the LG Cup and winning a game in the main itournament, and 최정先生 reaching top 20 in the Korean rankings were good childhood memories, so thank you for that. In way it was like 최정先生 saw Rui Naiwei 先生 at the world championships, is that what made to become one of the hardest working pros in the world, especially since winning titles aren't what especially drives you so much. Sometimes I worry that if a pro studies too much they might get tired of 바둑, since they studied it intensely since they were really young. Because I learned 바둑 at 12 I could never get tired of it but if you were training in it for hours and hours most days since you were 7 how is it that you not only get tired of it but still train everday for hours and hours! Remember too look after your health and take breaks . . ! I think maybe 처 Is like me in that what's most motivating to play is, how should I say it, impressing others? Or having certain people you want to play well against or for. So maybe she should focus on specific top players like the top Japanese pros, studying mostly their game records to beat them. Focusing on capturing specific pros one by one like magicalgirl 바둑captor 정! Another reason is this, it's interesting that you have a playing style with a highly variable perfomance level, you can beat much stronger pros but also lose to much weaker pros, like an Anime main character. Sort of like ヒカル in ヒカルの碁. I wonder what it was like when you passed the professional exam and the times you failed, and what the games were like, how did you get strong enough to win. Although perhaps watching the pro exam in ヒカルの碁 is a traumatic experience for pros . . .
Many amatuer players in the west who play online seem obsessed with winning and ranking which not so attractive in amatuers in most western cultures compared to most Asian ones, so I hope it's doesn't put of new players in the west.
Thank you both so very much! 두 분 모두 정말 감사합니! 둘 다 정말 고마워!
P.S. I wrote to the 日本棋院 about 최정先生 playing in the 名人戦 a day before they made the announcement about the 本因坊戦. It would be a really good idea for 최정 to play in the Japanese 名人戦と本因坊戦.

@@AwesomeBaduk Haha maybe next time it's not just 윤연순先生 interviewing 최정先生 but also 최정先生 interviewing 윤연순先生, haha! But, 先生, 29 years is soo young, my god . . . I really don't think in the end 최정先生 would ever stop tournament play, 최정先生 is more likely to end up like Suguichi先生 and probably surpass her record for most active pro, she'd just take a small break at 48 maybe become president of Korea then leaves 2 years early because she achieves everything faster than any previous president then comes back at 51 and stays competitive like a Japanese pro, haha!
The reason I want severe critism of my moves is that I . So the teacher says "your move was terrible!" 10 year old me would probably say, "yes! Exactly! Why did I play such a stupid move! I have zero talent!" because I feel so much pain from playing bad moves and being a weak player because I want to be able to comprehend top pro-level play. These days, because I've been watching pro games more I'm comparing myself to pros so now if I play badly I basically throw away the game or resign even if I'm winning, I get so angry with myself, ahh . . .

    My comment from the short:
Impressive, she moves like someone who has been dancing for a long time!
It's embarrassing for me to ask questions but 이하진先生 made a video of the game she lost to fail the women's pro exam and the game she won in the next women's pro exam to pass, so we could see how she improved over a year to be good enough to pass the Korean Women's Professional Exam. How were those games for you and how and when did you decide to become a pro? Partly due to me wanting to become a pro in Korea too, and if I'm 400 points behind you maybe there's a chance to win one game, haha, I really enjoy learning about how people became pro and the games they played, even top pros like 바둑captor 최정先生, magically changing form with winning and losing streaks . . . If it's okay to ask, are you feeling better, because it was a bit worrying that you might be feeling depressed and exhausted sometimes and that's why you might be having losing streaks, also 최정先生, if it's okay to ask, do you consider 上野愛咲美先生 to be a rival like 於之營先生? Okay that's enough embarrassing questions now sorry haha XD I respect the most 최정先生, a charming and impressive young lady! 최정先生, Have you considered playing in the 日本 本因坊戦? I wrote to the 日本棋院 about it and two days later they announced the format change . . . Thank you for your hard work all these years as one of the hardest working pros in the world, please remember to take breaks and take care of yourself!
