Deathscythe seems overwhelmingly strong. it has so many options - unblockable normals, range, teleporting.
The current majoritary opinion on him is that, save for the banned top 3 (Dark, Psyco and Epyon), he is the best character in the game, above even Rose and Heavyarms (the previous top 2).

Yes, we use a mod to play the game at 60fps (console version is at 30fps), the game becomes a lot smoother and more responsive that way!
