So happy to be one of the st to show you this brand new Plexi Crunch Pedal from @nuxaudio ! The NUX PLEXI CRUNCH Pedal from the Reissue Series offers you high gain Distortion tones with the character of the famous hot-roded British valve amps from the golden age of Rock. I've split my Demo Video in several Parts. In the first part I use a @HarleyBentonOfficial Fusion II Guitar with hot Humbuckers & Floyd Rose to get in that High Gain 90s Territory. In The 2nd Part I played my trusty Les Paul, Stratocaster and Tele Style guitars to give you a variety of overdriven Sounds. I have to say this was one of the better Demos I have seen in a while. I appreciate hearing it thru the 3 more common guitar styles AND I like the way you kept turning off the pedal during the loop section cause you can really hear the changes that way! Sometimes when people do demos the don't show you Enough of how the pedal sounds diff and what it brings to your clean tone.

Martin Frydas do you also have vox-ac type pedals? Maybe also by nux?
They send me a lot of pedals ;) but Vox Style Sounds only in the MG300 - but maybe they’ll come out with an AC in their Reissue Series (Dumble, Plexi crunch). Then I’ll get it and demo it 😎🤘

Is this pedal based on the Wampler Pinnacle or the Mi Audio Super Crunch Box?
Sounds not only like a Marshall but also like a Mesa. I placed an order for one yesterday in the hope it will be a step forward in my quest to loosely emulate the Boston guitar tone without having to get any Rockman equipment.

I have found the best way to get a Boston tone is put a .01 cap on your tone pots. Tone backed off is Boston exact

Try one of those Joyo American Sound pedals with a MXR mini DynaComp. It’s in the ballpark, found out by accident, I have several Rockman units. Boss’s emulation is the worst, there are some people building pedal versions of various Rockman units.
I actually have a different one in mind, @@christopherwoods6, the GOAT Generator.

I'm thinking I need this for my Marshall Origin 20 head. (Full Disclosure: by using a 'cab merger' box I'm driving two 8 ohm 4×12's in parallel for a total load of 16 ohms and it freakin' screams with an MXR Distortion +. I'd love to see pedal how this would sound.)
Be aware this pedal is always overdriven a lot... so amp has to be very clean... best with headroom also 😎🤘
The Origin 20 is a perfect pedal platform. To get it to overdrive on its' own requires cranking to it levels not good for the ears. Thus lots of headroom.
Does the Nux Plexi Crunch use a type of SMD component ?

In your opinion, to attain a more authentic "Marshall gain" through a fender tube amp (deville), would you recommend this pedal over the guv'nor?
I‘m honest with you - the MKI Guvnor is just awesome - the NUX is cheaper in price but it only sounds good with a lot of gain - like hot rodded Marshall - that’s what it was made for... so it depends what kind of Gain you want. I wouldn’t buy h the newer MKII Guvnor...

I have this going through my Fender Blues Deluxe, sounds awesome with a Strat or a Les Paul
Sounds great but mine died after less than an hour's use so I sent it back.

Definitely agree with that! It has so much Gain 😎🤘 even in the lowest setting it’s very saturated. It’s great sounding, no question. It’s just what you’re going for... 😁🤘🤘🤘

It’s a Marshall in a box... best way before the Amp 😉 didn’t like it that much in the FX loop as the Amps Preamp
does it have a built in cab sim and is it good for direct input recording ???
No it doesn’t have that feature. So I also wouldn’t use it as an only instance for recording. It’s meant to be placed before an amp 😎🤘
