I want to visit south east Asia but it’s just too damn hot to live there forever. I’m looking for an eastern European equivalent to south east Asia. Something like Romania Slovenia, Albania Montenegro, southern Italy we’ll see.
I've been there about eight X since April 2023, including last week. Hua Hin has less traffic, quieter beach, way fewer beer bars, but is a little further from Suvurnabhumi, and probably has nowhere near as many modern high rises with one bedrooms or studios, with swimming & fitness
I've seen a few videos of some really nice one bedroom and studio apartments with a pool and a gym that do seem cheaper than Pattaya and Jomtien. Do you think you need a motorcycle to get around as it appears the Baht bus system isn't as good as Pattaya and Jomtien?
Mobile phone data plans are exactly the same in Hua Him and Pattaya. The price difference in your chart is because the price contribution varies because the distribution of plans people are using in the two cities. Same goes for most of the other prices except rent, transportation and restaurant prices
Brendan if you take in consideration hospital, doctors level of medical services in you home country and places where u planning to move you decision maybe completely different. I'm not familiar with Australia's medical system, but my guess it more ,more advanced, than in places u mentioned in video
Thanks for watching and adding your comment here as I appreciate it. All the research that I've done suggests that those places in Asia do have very good medical systems. You are right the medical system in Australia is very good. Good luck on your journey and have a great day today
The picture of pattaya you used was juring the burn season I live in pattaya 18years many beautiful places to go You must have self control living in pattaya😊
Thanks for your input David. I spent a month in Jomtien at the start of the year and had no problem with self control as I place a high value on staying fit and healthy above everything else.
@ Brenden I have been living in a 1 bed condo in pattaya rent is 9k per month inc is gym, sauna, wifi(not good would buy separate wifi package) swimming pool & car park (12month) electric ฿8 per unit ,gasoline price ฿43-45per litre depending were you fill up / phone around 1k-1.5 per month, contract not payg
@jpp5401 Thanks for your input. It's great to get real information from someone who's living in Pattaya on the essential items that everyone needs if they intend to live in Pattaya. Can I ask you what visa are you on, and do you intend to permanently stay in Pattaya or travel around?
When I say "...with fitness and pool...", I mean I want to live near the night market and the hospital, not far from The Hilton. When I tell Thais I'm headed there, they call it "boring". When my lease is about to expire I'll have a realtor show me some vacancies. I love that if doesn't have a ton of beer bars
Waste of time those charts. All depends on individual lifestyle. The only way to choose where to live is boots on the ground, stay at least a month in both places imo! Personally I would say Pattaya is cheaper than any other touristy town in Thailand
Brendon pattaya is cheaper .. residence on average are 5 to 7 thousand baht a month . Near soi bukhao.. and shopping at big C is cheap..you can live on a 1000 AUD a month ..if you dont drink or smoke.. 7000 for rent, and electricity..a month.. and 3000 for food a month.. thats around 500 AUD a month.. the rest you enjoy..🎉
Hua Hin seems interesting for somebody looking for a cool, quiet life, more quiet than Pattaya 👌
Yes I agree. It looks much quieter. 👍

It’s cold 🥶 in the winter, especially those countries you mentioned!
It gets very cold in Northern Vietnam in the winter that's for sure.

Yes I thought that was the case. Have you or do you live in Pattaya or Hua Hin?
@@BrendenSharp Yes I have been living 1 year in Hua Hin. 8 years totally in Thailand

The Hilton Resort & Spa is right on the beach isn't it? That looks like a great location. What's your budget to get a one bedroom condo near there?
the difference is comparative to the rent difference

A few people have suggested that Hua Hin is even a little cheaper than Pattaya.
Having been to both, I’d have to say Hua Hin is cheaper.
Nice one Brendan Sharpe ,...did you leave out nightly entertainment for any particular reason ?
Its not really a high priority for me that's why.
More tourists = higher prices.
Yes you're right. Eventually everywhere goes up due to supply and demand.
