Northlane is more than a band to me...Northlane is one of the many elements in human nature: Aggression. Northlane is the emotional context of aggression whether out of Love, Fear, or Chaos. This band has added that element of aggression into my life but in such a beautiful way. I really like Marcus, but after watching this video, I can really see why people really love Adrian. He seems like a cool guy and I love his energy on stage. I teared up. INFINITE POTENTIALLLL~@@!@!!
You can tell he's feeling the pain of screaming that would lead to him leaving the band here, as he avoids any intense vocals. Honestly, I wish he would have stayed in the band and replaced all screaming with raps and cleans instead of leave
I still enjoy the reinvented Northlane with Marcus, but I get a gut punch when I come across Adrian's Northlane. Alien, Mesmer, and Node are fine, but the trajectory the band's sound shifted when Adrian left and it's just as in tune with my preferences. Singularity, Discoveries, and Hollow Existence are still just a step above their most recent works IMO the vocal punch Adrian provides is just more impactful. Wish his voice hadn't given out
That’s not really fair to say. They’re a fucking collective, they all define the eras of Northlane whether any of those individuals are still in the band or not. Adrian was really talented and passionate but not just in music, he was studying psychology around the time he joined Northlane, I’m pretty sure it’s a 5 years or less course but he had to drop out early cause that’s when discoveries come out and he had like about a year or two of touring already scheduled and mapped out. Listening to the first two albums definitely makes me miss Adrian in Northlane but at the same time it was probably the best thing he could do. I went to some of his last performances in Brisbane and Sydney and he was really struggling, he was barely even moving on stage like he used to which just showed how fucking burnt out he looked from all those years of constant touring and blowing his voice out. By the end of the sets he sounded fucked and I could tell he was putting too much pressure on his vocals, he had to chuck the mic into the crowd cause he couldn’t even get a breath out. Northlane is an amazing band with or without Adrian even he still knows that otherwise he’d never join Northlane in the first place but when it comes to your health, some shit Is a lot more important than music.
@@The_JustJoshing that right. But just like people love first Slipknot albums, lotta people still prefer Adrians screams. Both Corey at first albums and Adrian did screams that were less fake and more real. Unfortunately, it takes its toll - both Corey and Adrian had serious vocal issues
@@benookand4141 do you know why he left the band? because it hurts when he screams, he didn't want to damage his voice, that's why he avoids intense vocals. he's great in my opinion, my all-time favorite vocalist. it's not a competition, but if you compare how Adrian sang ''Dream Awake'', and how Marcus did it, it's honestly just terrifying. Marcus doesn't share the same perspective of the world as Adrian did, Adrian seemed like such a genuine person, opening many people's eyes, mine included.

Adrian couldn’t sustain it though. Marcus is an incredible vocalist who seems to have a very solid vocal technique that will last way longer.
