yea not the biggest northlane fan, but always recognized their talent. looked at a few vids of the old vocalist performing this track and honestly have no clue why people prefer him to this guy. the old guy wouldnt even attempt to hit the cleans

Will never understand the backlash Marcus receives. Of course it’s not going to sound the same without Adrian, nor is it meant to. Marcus has an incredible singing voice so why not showcase it? This performance is incredible, love the vibe in the intro. Thank you for posting!
Its not about that man. Marcus is quite a wonderful vocalist. But theres just a different kind of energy with adrian man. When Marcus sings this song it's nice to listen to. But when adrian sang this song man there was just a raw emotion he had behind his voice.

I saw Marcus in 2009 with his old band stand for the fallen at a small club in Sydney in front of under 20 people and he gave his all then and you can see he does now! So glad he and northlane become very successful! Love them

So I’m new to the Northland bandwagon but reading that people don’t like the lead singer is unreal to me - watching these performances have made me such a fan just based on his skill/range both with his singing but his screams. Y’all are tripping...

I always miss Adrian but Marcus is a really good replacement; different style, different voice, different person but after hearing his voice i have to say he fits it... Adrian remains a really big inspiration to me anyway

Marcus does a good effort in Adrian's place, but the band as a whole has gotten boring. They're all ridiculously talented, but they've just been producing elevator music since Adrian left.

Discoveries is best Northlane. Literally when they auditioned for a new vocalist on YT, Marcus was THE ONLY audition, that I said please don't pick to. He's not good, he can't hit lows like adrian, his screams are bland, he's a decent singer, but this is the first live video I've seen of him live, and he isn't even good live. He was the worst choice.
Not at all. I saw northlane with adrian and with marcus.. Marcus has become a beast live. I agree that when he started in Northlane it wasnt that good, but this has changed and he is very good now.. He even nailed Dispossession live! So I have to say that Northlane changed in a very good way. Marcus is just a great guy.

Yeah it's purely for appearance, Jon, the guitarist with it on also wears black out lenses, guess it's all just to create some kind of image on stage.
I think they are something the Japanese where to avoid hay fever. Probably worn as a statement by the band maybe. Most everything they do or right about makes some sort of cultural, political, or environmental statement. So yeah, that’s my theory. If your just now discovering them I would suggest listening to the albums Mesmer and Discoveries (Discoveries is with there former vocalist Adrian) A lot of die hards don’t like the new vocalist Marcus, I like him a lot for the band, but I listen to all there music so I don’t judge.
He loves nu metal bands like limp bizkit and goes for a wes borland look.
A lot of their lyrics refer to the sickness of people and society, so its fitting imo.
