    I have this bow. There is quite a story behind it. I live in Australia and ordered one last year through a dealer in Australia. It arrived 3 weeks later and it was the most terrible misaligned bow I had ever seen, in over 30 years of buying custom bows. When the limbs were screwed onto the riser they both shot off in different directions. It was so bad that the arrow would keep falling off the riser. If I looked down the bow sighting the string, each end of the limb was out from centre over half an inch. I was mortified. The dealer in Australia gave me a replacement bow of another make, but I missed the Chapman because it had potential to be a nice bow. I don't know how their factory in China let a bow like this get past quality control.
    I couldn't rest, so I emailed Bear Paw in Germany explaining everything. They wrote back and were very sorry and said they would make it right for me. Many months went past and I had given up in hope. Finally, they got back to me and said a brand new bow was being shipped by FedEx directly to my door from Germany. When I opened it I realised why it had taken so long - they had completely re-designed the attachment system. It was what you have here - the two pins plus the bolt. The first bow I had was only one aligning pin plus the bolt. I think everybody owes it to me for a re-designed bow that now has a proper attachment system - he he.
    I must say that I am very pleased now with my new Chapman. As you showed here it has very high performance, is dead in the hand and whisper quiet. Out of all the risers I have shot over the years, this one just points exactly where I look and I can drive tacks with this bow. I've had over 30 different custom bows in as many years and over the years they were all sold off for different reasons. I finally settled on Pittsley Predator recurve bows and had 3 of them. They are a beautiful bow and were the best of all my custom bows from over the years. However, since I got my Chapman, I have sold all my other bows, because this one is better than all of them. The final star in its crown is the price. With our horrible exchange rate in Australia, the Pittsley bows cost me over $1,300 each. This Chapman bow was less than 500 Australian - and it is a much nicer bow. Thanks for testing the arrow speed here, now I know how fast my arrows are flying.

    I’ve seen videos talking about silencers rip off 5 fps of speed. Can we assume then that Chapman is more like 186-187 fps with hunting arrow, and close to 200 fps with target arrow? I haven’t seen silencers on other bows you’re been testing. Just curious.

      I'm sure silencers do shave a few feet per second off, so your estimates sound good to me. I didn't think about them on there when grabbing this bow for the testing. It was set up on our range and hit the right weight for the needs. For future testing I'll aim to get bows without silencers.

    Can you say anything concerning stacking, for draw beyond 28"?

    What's the price of this bow? And isn’t 700 spine arrow too weak spine for 40 lbs? As, it's cut pass center!

    • @3RiversArchery
      @3RiversArchery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rest material brings the arrow back before center slightly. The 700 spine were flying great with the shooting with fingers test we did before filming.

      Just slip of the mind on what series this model fell under. The difference of a Bodnik series vs. Penthalon series of bows. Definitely not "deliberately misleading people."

    Don't shoot 8 grs. Per pound of bow weight. Very bad unless it's carbon limbs.
