This has been a great series. I have been looking to get a long or recurved bow for a while to shoot along side my compound. Since I have never shot either I didn't want to spend a lot and thanks to this video seires I am pretty sure I am getting a Black Hunter. Thanks for the informative videos
Hmmm.... pair it with slightly Heavier Arrows or a set of String Silencers and I bet that the String Vibration/Twang will go away. Looks a lot like a Bear Recurve that I had awhile back

In the bamboo, those dots you're seeing are tubes for moisture. Those of us who play woodwind instruments (uses a bamboo reed) play a game where you soak the bottom of the reed. After a few seconds, you blow through the reed from the area you soaked. As you are blowing you will see the moisture coming out the top of the reed. This is a test more experienced musicians use to confirm the tubes are not crushed. The reed doesn't do as well in performance if the tubes are closed.

Thanks Kramer for this series and all your content! Your positivity is contagious, and it's awesome when we can tell how excited you are about your craft.
I bought one a few months ago. Love it. I’ve been shooting about 25 years and I’m 31. Kid bows, compounds, trad, home made.. this is my favorite. I wish I could get a 65 pounder though. Want to put a fastlight string on it at see how that turns out. Edit: I bought one of your strings (red/black fastlight) on it and it’s great! Stock string was one inch long so I got yours right at 50” and it’s awesome. Great product! Also put on some of your limb silencers. Wax seal was a nice touch. I think I’ll save it :) Thanks dude.
It reminds me of the Browning Wasp. I just got into traditional archery and finally talked my step dad into giving me his old bow (hasn't used it since 90's).
KRAMER, I GOT MY 54" AIROBOW, YOU WERE RIGHT, I LOVE IT! I PUT LIMBSAVERS, LIMB MOUNTED STRING SILENCER RAMPS, SMALL WOOL BALLS AND STRING LEACHS. SHOOTS VERY QUIET AND UNBELIEVABLY SMOOTH. I PUT A SNAKE SKIN EAGLES FLIGHT QUIVER. THANK YOU! YUP, I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN!!! ALWAYS THUMBS UP!!!

This is the Review that got me when looking for a 45 pound bow to shoot to get this bow for my main hunting bow/possible main bow. Now my 36 pound single piece fiberglass dual shooting rest flatbow from 1960-1979 Actionbow 8200 by Actionrod could be my now lesser used bow /one I can lend to right side people if they are with me. The 45 Pound bow I hope I can draw if not I will work into that bow by using the 36 pound bow first.
I just ordered this OEE line recurve. Looking forward to it. I've always made self bows and arrows pure traditional. But frankly tired of failure and string follow and slow performance. Hope to get myself back in tune for hunting this year.

I am enjoying your reviews. But I would like to know what you recommend for Kids. I have a 7 and 11 year old boys. The little guy is 48 inches tall 50 lbs and a draw length of 29 inches. The 11 year old is 64 inches tall, 100 lbs and a 31 inch draw length. Me I am 6'4" 240 lbs and a 34 inch draw. What would you recommend for each of us? We are looking to do this just for fun and something we can do together. Thanks for you help. Michael
Found your channel basically to figure out what kind of bow I had in my grandpas old shop it’s been sittin on the wall for a long time tho from what I knew it looks similar to the one in your thumbnail
I tried a bow out at Hoover Tactical Firearms, here in Alabama, the other day that looked similar to this. I tried it out cause I thought it was a recurve, but it turned out to be a long bow.
the black hunter is hard to beat. if you dial it in and add a twist string and some bowjax. I ordered this little 54, here tomorrow, I'll try to remember to come back with a comparison. I do love my black hunters, 30, 40, 50. as much as my Howatt Hunter, that says a lot.
Hey Kramer, great vid, can ya do a Yumi bow review/build (they're kinda expensive so maybe just build) too? Doing it traditionally might be a bit hard so maybe try using rattan?
Halp meeee pleasee anybody!!! Kramer?! I've recently gotten into traditional archery and fell in love instantly. My first bow was a black hunter with a 60 lb draw, loved the bow but after about 3 weeks of shooting, the top part of the string broke and dug into the limb snapping it in half. Ordered the a Samick Sage with the same draw weight. The 8th arrow I fired it did the same exact thing. I'm 6'2 fairly stronger than average person with around a 31 inch draw. Did I manage to get bad limbs both times? Is my draw length putting too much pressure on the bow and literally just breaking the bow? Any insight would be great because I am scared to buy a new bow or limbs fearing it will just happen again. Love your company by the way, I have the quiver, tab and arm guard! Thanks for reading anyone! =) =)
I got this bow due in part to my smaller size and due to wanting a hunting bow for my size at 45 pounds which might be almost too much for me right now but I will eventually get there.
Kramer, another interesting metric you might consider when you test bows is Range. How far can the bow still shoot accurately and with penetration? **Just a thought**
I am really enjoying your channel. I am super excited to go get some red oak and drywalltape. I had a composite browning as a teen, but I cant wait to get some skin in the game.
Between this and the SAS maverick which would be your choice. I Would be killing pinecones and 3d targets. If i decided to hunt with it would one be better than the other. Thinking the maverick may be better because its probably a little heavier and therefore smoother however i like the short length of the airobow which would be better in the bush.
I like all of the affordable bow comparisons,....but my opinion would be if your 5 feet tall this bow might work for you. A normal person should have 63 inch bow or bigger. To me the shelf appears flat not curved?
You should check out the sinoart bridged riser takedown recurve. I was really surprised how well it shoots, but it is a bit heavier than wooden riser bows. I did a short video on my channel the day after I got it and now that I've tuned it shoots amazing. I'm running 500/2016 Easton xx75's With 175gr field points. Cut to 28.5"
So, I used to target shoot as a kid and enjoyed it. I'm looking to get into it again, thanks for the great content, but I have a problem! I have a 31.5" draw based on the finger tip to finger tip divide by 2.5 method. This means I need a 70-72 in bow I believe. But your top bows don't come in these xl sizes that torment my life. Should I just get a black hunter and over pull it or short draw myself with a bent front arm? thanks
I'm new shooting archery and after watching this I decided on the airobow. I really like it so far but is it possible to put sights on it? Or would it even be worth it? I want to use the bow for hunting deer, bear and turkey.
I've not been an archer since the mid 80s, I don't know what I'm talking about, but, would a slightly heavier arrow absorb that extra energy that is causing the little vibration after it leave the bow?
Can you swap the limbs from the recurve to the longbow. To me it looks like the same riser and I thought since you had both, you could test my theory. Thanks for the videos.
i wanna make a bow with a carved design into it. what are some things i should look out for or will carving a design make the bow not realistically usable?
