Great flashback. There is a pretty good chance I was in (visiting, not working) the control tower when these shots were taken. Several airplane id's are wrong but great memories of 82-84 Clark.
I'm happy that you liked the video. I just posted two new plane videos. When you get time please take a look. Cheers! th-cam.com/video/Mpvr4KN3_kA/w-d-xo.html
Graham Rogers I am looking for my biological father who was station in Clark U.S Airforce Airbase between 1986-1988. My mother met my father in 1987 and I was born in 1988. My mother name is Josephine.
I probably met your Dad, I was the Crew Chief on the Blue Tail Phantom at 2:49 mark! My jet had the special tail flash because it was the 3rd TFS Flagship.
@ 0:36 F-5 Tiger not F-2 :) . I have pics @ the same open house. Thanks for posting this! They are in my Facebook group.. I was stationed at Clark Air Base.
That medical airplane, towards the end is a DC 9, same type as the Playboy jet. Its military designator is C-9 Nightingale. I flew from Clark to Kadena on it in the 80"s.
The F-4G (Red Tail) was the 90th TFS and the F-4E (Blue Tail), was the 3rd TFS and the Blue Tail @ 2:59 with the fancy 3 on it was the 3rd TFS Flagship and I was the Crew Chief on it. Also the "P80"@ 0:38 is actually a T-33, It, the F5, the C-12's and the T-39 were Base Flight aircraft. The MD-80 is the civilian version, this is the C-9 Nightingale, same airframe but with Mods for the Military use. And lastly the Aircraft @ 2:09 which has the question mark behind it is indeed the KC-135! Great video though, I was there during that time frame working the Phase Docks and then the 3rd TFS as a Crew Chief!
I probably said this before. That was 58-0553. T-33A my first airplane I was CC on. I was later in the Agressor squdron CC on f5-E 75-0612. Close relative on assy line with one in Vid 75-0614.
Yeah the former U.S Air Base in Clark Field, Pampanga in the Philippines. I heard that they are several deferent types of U.S military Aircraft's has been assigned in there, during that time. I just wondering, why the U.S government has never tried to offer those combat aircfrafts, (at least for a diplomatic agreements) that was formerly stationed in that base, before they finally left for good, those Aircraft's could possibly become a vital help in order to enhance the capability of the Phil. Air Force, only if ever that possibly happened.
Conspiracy Bear, The 374th taw and 1st SOS had C-130’s at that base, i was there from 82 to 86 Combat Mobility Branch we did all the tactical airlift and airdrop there, i miss it!
If you have a haynes manual, you would know they cover cars in a ten year window. Most car companies only changes the car body each year to sell cars. Everything else is basically the same crap repositioned.
There were a couple of C-130 Squadrons there and the F-4G (Red Tail) was the 90th TFS and the F-4E (Blue Tail), was the 3rd TFS and the Blue Tail @ 2:59 with the fancy 3 on it was the 3rd TFS Flagship and I was the Crew Chief on it.
1990 base lease negations stalled with phil gov wanting $300 mil up front, guaranteed x number of Philippine employees on bases, some of this and more of that. pinatubo hit , bye bye. phil gov said "just as well. we can do better without U.S. sugar daddy here". haha x 10.
I don't think so. The choice is either Uncle Sam or Communist China. The PI have no real military. China has taken several Philippine islands with little to no filipino resistance. China has given COVID vaccine to the PI government. All gifts come with conditions. Those who can't protect themselves are servants, even though they choose not to believe so. Chances are, the Philippines will become another Hong kong, constant complaining about the raw deal the central government is giving her. China has publicly announced they are taking control of Asia, hence the island base they opened last year. China is gearing up for another war in Asia. As for the natural resources in the PI, China will them clean to win that war. Wake up, gear up, watch unbiased news and sallow your pride. The writing is on the wall for all to see.

TheSirjohn2012 It’s sad that our government don’t want them there anymore. This is also good to men who are in the service to avoid of having another woman while he is away from home.
