Johnson Avenue. '86 to '89 Crazy good times!!! My family cried and cried when we departed PCS. Obtained my pilots license at the Aero Club (Russell Large was the guy in charge there).
Thank you for posting the HOG. I was w/the MAC group. We did the dunk tank... CAB was my 1st assignment in my career in the USAF, I was 19 when I arrived on station. Went to the O club once or twice. I hung out at the Airmans mostly. My dorm was just across the street. They had pool side service. I miss the PI, I also miss the USAF of the time. I retired after 25 years.
Video brought me back. Lived there from 87-91. Would've been there for another 10yrs if Pinatubo didn't erupt. Great place, nothing but great memories.
My house was at 5703 Dau Avenue, across the street from Burger King .. I lived there from the ages 7-9 (1987-1989). It's shown at 3:56 into the clip. I really miss Clark. I wish I could go back in time to those days...
How nice it is to remember Clark AB. I am herein the Philippines but still miss it. 1965 as a Furniture Inspector at age 22 til 1990 retired as an artist /illustrator of MWR .
My family was stationed at CAB in the mid-1970's. My brother and I attended Lily Hill Middle School, so I have some great memories of HOG and day-to-day life that was unique to Clark. It really was like a self-contained small town. As children, we had many Clark urban legends to deal with as well. Best one was about a GI who drove off-base on his motorcycle and disappeared. His body & bike were found...but his head was missing! I think that one was started to keep us kids inside the fence!
^^ 3rd EMS? Cool, my Dad was working for them at that time too. HOG was the best, there was no way we would let one pass us up. The parachute thing was the best. hehe. So many great memories.
Clark Air Base become a memorable to you if you have friends,Family or work in one Department. I miss those day working in Levin's Gym one of the most equipped gym i ever seen. Bar hopping in Field Avenue after work is always fun, Military Person always having a liberty 24 hrs a day.
OMG I remember that skateboard ramp next to Burger King @ 4:16 . On our way to the burger king, me and my dad and other siblings saw this ramp. I even touched it and walked on it with my siblings. I told them I wish I could skateboard here. Then he got us value meals with free "heroes in a half shell" badge or suction cups back in 1989 :).
Hello l miss .all those events that has been a part of life, proud to tell all l am a part of all those happy memorable events of Clark , HOG, chili cook all events visiting holiwood stars etc...all are memories now..
I flew into Clark International Airport last December, spent a month in Pampanga, PI. Have to say, that place looks really rundown, kind of spooky and abandoned at night.

Restore the photo digitally and it brings out things one cannot see with the eye. Scared people in class.
