I’m an old ARMY at 71 years old. I found them in fall of 2015 when I was home from the hospital and weak. I was depressed being out of work and my daughter told me about TH-cam; I’d heard of it but had never watched it. Well, one day I saw a video for BTS dance practice. I clicked on it though I didn’t know what BTS was but love watching dance. I was instantly amazed at these super talented young men. I started watching all videos on the and I started ordering their albums. During a tough time in my life they brought me joy every day. I love BTS!

Hello silver Army! I'm 68 and they found me late, 2022. So while they are away for a while I've been busy watching and learning all I can.
I'm 62 from the UK and it was exactly the same for me. Started out randomly watching dancing on YT. One recommendation led to another and I eventually landed on Mic Drop dance practice. The rest, as they say, is history....💜

There is a fan made documentary series called The Rise of Bangtan that you might really like. BTS was originally a hip-hop group, RM and Suga were both underground rappers. In 2014 BTS did a reality TV show called American Hustle Life where they went to Las Angeles for a two week hip-hop boot camp where they work with Warren G and Coolio along with a handful of other tutors. They went to Skid Row and spoke with and handed out food to the people residing there. Thank you for being so open about your life experience!

This is a great video about the band in general.... but Also highly recommend xCeleste's This is ARMY to learn about the fandom and Taylor's guide to the 7 members to learn about them individually.
They really came out in poverty and grew together, it was very difficult above all but as they say "you will persevere and you will succeed" and that's how it was after many years the effort was worth it. And despite everything (racism, discrimination, threats, false friends) I know they have each other to lean on because they are reals, brothers, they are a family.

Of course I have seen this video several times and everytime I wonder why doesn't she say anything about people over their 40s because I am 56 years old and I have been a part of BTS army for almost seven years now ,,,when they weren't even a thing in America yet! Y'all want to know something about my boys I bet you I could tell you and I also know that there are a lot of other people my age that absolutely love BTS! Anyway I just wanted to put that out there cuz I get aggravated about the fact that young people just completely discredit older people especially when it comes to music ! Silly babies think we're sitting around listening to Lawrence welk or some s***!😂

I’m 68. My husband and I flew to L.A. to see them a few years ago.
I would like her to update that part of the video. I found BTS at 55 yrs. young and I am now 60. My 12yr old daughter at that time introduced me to them. She has moved on and I am stuck in a wonderful way in this BEAUTIFUL fandom. I have seen them 4 times and will be going to AgustD's concert with my 18yr old. I love them to the moon and back.

BTS are the most living, genuine, HUMAN men ever. They attract goodness to them, and by following them, I have become a better person. There are always people who want to tear them and ARMY down, but we're a family and we will always be. We carry on.

Big subject, and I don't know how to explain, except to say it's a fictional story about boys with various challenges who find friendship with each other. Topics include domestic violence, mental health, economic stress, alcoholism, ending up on the wrong side of the law, etc.
To counter balance this scene you need to see the "making of" video. In an out-take, Jungkook starts laughing right here because these guys beating him up are staffers he knows well, not professional actors. When he looked them directly in the eyes he couldn't stay serious. 😂
I became Army for 7 years now. And there are millions of us around the world. And as long i'm part of this wonderful family, i know 99% of us always try to spread posivity like how BTS want us to be. But like others, there will always some rude people and unfortunately 1% of that millions still many. So let's just focus on the positive energy Armys gave you and ignore all the negativity. Thank you for giving them and us a chance 💜
I’m a baby ARMY and other ARMYs have said that BTS finds you when you need them the most. I found out about them just last year. I recently moved from a big city to a small town where I barely knew anyone. I felt that people would judge me because of how I am. I felt like I needed to change to fit in. I didn’t want to do that, because I would lose myself. I’m 38 and I think I’m weird af because I still act like a kid sometimes. In a couple of their songs (I think it was FIRE) they say, “It’s ok to be a loser..” and in IDOL they say, “I’m never gonna change..” Those words hit me. I cried and said, “You know what? I don’t give a $4!t what you all think of me. I love myself.” BTS are just amazing people. People really need to stop being ignorant. I hope you continue your BTS journey, even though I’m a baby ARMY I will try and help you. 😊💜
I'm 52 years old, and I found them in 2015 right along my 30 year old daughter. Their music and Run BTS shows gave me solace when I was battling cervical cancer and the loss of my 72 year old ARMY mom. Soon I'll be having my 14th bladder surgery on this month and they are still giving me solace. BTS & ARMY for life.
Prayers Irma. I am a cancer survivor 40yo. This year i got the best news of my life. But on the same time i am helping my mom who is 63yo deal with breast cancer stage 4 metastasis. BTS clams me and gives me such joy. It's a real wonder. hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army

Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most videos they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
(So JK was only 13 when he joined Big Hit and 15 when he debuted. ) All of the members were only 13-18 years old when they joined BTS .... the worst hatred they got was from adults within the industry attacking them when they were only kids, it was really bad, other companies were invested in not letting BTS succeed.
In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on 01 Jan every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - Actual age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee)
Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo)
Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo)
JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)
RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo)
Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo)
V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo)
JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo)
Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age.
EG: TaeHyung (V) born 30 Dec 1995 ...... current International Age 27 (Korean Age 29). ... 2 years difference
So Tae born 30 Dec 95 is 1 year old, then on 01 Jan 96 he is 1 more year older (so they would say he is 2 years old, when we would say he is 2 days old.)
So he was considered 29 in Korea since 01 January, we would say he is 27 turning 28 in Dec.
It's a different way of looking at age, from new years day - Tae is living his 29th year (since conception) - instead of - he turned 27 (since birth)....
The Korean Government will be bringing international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos will be referencing Korean age.

12:48 The camera crews of the shows weren't familiar with their names at first, so they wore these shirts in rehearsals so the producers and cameramen could communicate about who to zoom-in on.

These are our guys 🥹💜 They only inspire good things.
It’s so funny that people count BigHit (HYBE) as one of “the big 4” companies like they never had problems. In the grand scheme of things, their success is very recent. They haven’t been given everything and they didn’t start by paying their way like some companies did.
There’s nothing to not love, admire, and respect about them. And this showed not even a LITTLE bit of the hate/problems they went through….people hate to see success and especially for that success to happen to good people. 😐
Also, I’ve only attended one year but I think for the past 2 or 3 years, Kingston University has held their ‘BTS: A Global Interdisciplinary Conference Project’ where for a whole weekend, psychologists, lawyers, hold seminars and speak on how BTS have created what they have and many other aspects I’d never thought of (and I’ve been ARMY since 2015🤣). It’s truly amazing what they’ve been able to do.
Also, they could easily start WWIII if they wanted to, but clearly they choose to use their power for good and we are all better for it 😂💜💜💜

I’ve been army since 2018. I’m a school teacher. Every year, on the first day of school, I ask “Do you know BTS?” At first no one had, but now, most of the class will raise their hand. It makes me feel so happy that kids are listening to the positive message these young men have been putting out for years.
Now you really should react to An Introduction to BTS: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor. Her introduction will give you more in depth information on the individual members. Their backgrounds, personalities and how they came to be members of BTS.
Also please react to The Most Beautiful Life Goes On by the channel Rice Squad. This one will blow you away with good information on exactly what they have accomplished in nearly 10 years. This one will kind of blow away.
thank you for watching this, there are other documentaries on bts that will be inspiring to you. bts is not just a group of handsome young men making great music and can dance. we all listen to some form of music but 'bts' is the ''positive force that is needed in the world of music. for a group to be conscience of their surroundings and give hope, dreams and promote self love is desperately needed badly in a world of chaos. bts face hatred today but as armies we must stand behind them and fight for them because they have given us so much, the positive energy of love, hope and unity. 95% of artist today live in a world that is a lie, they even promote their lies and glorify their bad corrupt deeds. this is not a good thing yet they soar to the top on charts and no one talks trash about them. but, the group 'bts' are the underdogs who are genuinely kind, humble, loving individuals who get 'bashed and disrespected just because they do not fit the 'norm and refuse to have the attitude and personas of 'superstars. rm said, haters going to hate, we as army must stand strong. welcome to the world of bts💜
Thank you for taking time to find out a bit more about our lovely lads. If you want to start bloging or doing live streams to talk to your fans that would be wonderful it would get you known and your work know even more. You don't have do long segments or post every week. Just when you feel you have something and the time that's the best way to do it so it's not forced. You could give people glimpses(previews) of your music small samples and ask people to comment and announce things like next week at give time I'll be doing a live stream where you can ask questions and then you just pick out a few of any questions that viewer's ask and decide which one's you'd be happy to answer. That way people start to get to see you and who your are and what you do. Hope that helps. All the best and Bless you you have a beautiful heart.
Regarding your question about how to promote your stuff... I think it's a good idea for you to interact with your fanbase in a way that is natural for you and suits you. You can be creative but still stay true to who you are 😊 Some methods may vibe with you better than others and I'd listen to your gut about that.

Thanks for watching and trying to understand our guys!! I'm 57 and Army all the way.. I found them in 2021 during a bad time in life, which is usually when you find them.. They taught me to love myself and never to settle.. They are so talented, smart, funny, humble, loving and they share with us Armies..BTS and Army have a special magical loving relationship.. Can't wait to see you on your journey💜💜💜💜 trust me, the hate is real and it's allot.. The Black lives matter donation was done in 17 hours by us Armies.. After this you need to watch the series The Rise of Bangtan, it tells more of the story throughout the years.. I've raised 7 of my own and watched these guys grow from teenagers to the most humble talented passionate young men they are💜💜💜💜

I'm paused at 12:51 because, YES. That bad and SO MUCH WORSE. She's being so polite and understated. I'm crying just thinking about how vicious the hate has been, and I'm a mature woman in my fifties. It turns my stomach as few things can. The saddest part, to me, is that it's still there. Disgusting. This creator, xCeleste, has several good intro videos including one that describes some of the hardships BTS went thru, though again, in a very polite, understated way. Recommend her videos highly.

We protect our boys fiercely and they always protected us from descredit and mockery that came from ignorant malicious people. They are like family to us. We talk with them about them not go on dieting or they need to sleep better or eat better, or about trivial matters and they listen to us and respond to us. They know we behave like their mothers or friends or family. And they were worried sincerely, throughout this 10 years, about our happiness and troubles or us being sick or not passing our exams or getting safe home after concerts, etc. They joke around with expressions' trends we invent to make them lough or those they invent to make us lough (Armypedia 😂)... We cry and send them messages with our worries when a new song is more somber or a cry for help and understanding ... It's so special man... They really are part of our daily lifes and put a smile on our faces and hrlp us to keep going no matter what. 💜

Ya tienes una susciptora más y quería darte la bienvenida a la familia, me encantará hacer el viaje contigo 😍 "Bienvenido a ARMY". Para mi, estos chicos son luz para el mundo. Los descubrí en un momento muy complicado de mi vida y, gracias a ellos, descubrí que había montones de personas a lo largo del mundo que sentian la vida como yo, que no estaba tan loca por llevar cincuenta años siendo fiel a mi misma y teniendo que vivir contracorriente. Me dieron esperanza para seguir luchando por un mundo mejor que dejarle a mi hija cuando yo ya no esté, cuando este junto a su hermano en el lugar sin tiempo y volvamos a reunirnos y pueda verlos jugar juntos por primera vez🎉. Me ha dolido en el alma saber que perdiste a tu mamá con 14 años. Estoy convencida que debe estar súper orgullosa del hombre en el que te has convertido y que has forjado. Ahora tienes a un montón de mamis ARMY súper protectoras como lo son con sus hijos y con BTS. Los apoyaré y contribuiré a que vuelen todo lo alto que deseen por siempre. Te envío un fuerte abrazo y también te recomiendo que reacciones al video que te han comentado ya de Taylor porque hizo un trabajo maravilloso y es digno de ver. Con él comprenderas a cada uno de los chicos en toda su grandeza, su grandísimo corazón y humildad. Te sorprenderás viéndolo porque creo que descubrirás que tienes mas en comun con ellos (sobre todo con los raperos) de lo que podrias imaginar. Que tengas un gran día 💜💜💜🌈
