    • @Colt2OO2
      @Colt2OO2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      It's a solo, you can't expect him to nail it note for note every time, I hate people who give them shit because they don't play everything the same way they used to in 1985. You're bound to make mistakes even with songs you've been playing for almost 40 years and solos can also be improvised a lot as well in case you do screw something up and it's his solo, so he gets to play it however he wants to as well.

    • @msum23
      @msum23 3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      He's not talking about mistakes, he's talking about changing the solo entirely as Kirk is known to do, especially the fade to black ending solo... just a WAHHHH fest. People like to hear great solos live, not just improv wahhhing

    • @Colt2OO2
      @Colt2OO2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      but the most important thing IMO is that he really practiced and rested during the lockdowns, which really helped him to get back on his feet. He's not sloppy like he was in the hardwired tour, and you can just tell that he practiced.

      @@Colt2OO2 the thing is tho, ive listened to many live performances ranging many years and recently Kirk has just been playing the solos poorly, like he was trying to play the original version or implement more wah pedal and it just sounded terrible (including guitar tone). Lars sounds great when he keeps consistency and keeps the tempo. He sounds tighter and less sloppy. Creeping Death shouldn't sound rushed like he's trying to chase the beat - keep the beat and you sound great!

    James's voice in this makes me feel like I'm an Egyptian about to fall victim to Creeping Death!
