    Great video. I’m getting ready to sew a button and buttonhole on a handbag project. I’ve done it before but it’s been over a year and can’t remember what to do. This video helped a lot!

    I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH YOUR TUTORIAL! i NEVER FULLY UNDERSTOOD HOW TO USE THIS FOOT AND WOULD BECOME FRUSTRATED. ONE QUESTION THOUGH, HOW DO YOU LINE UP YOUR BUTTONHOLES AND WHERE DO YOU START?

      In the manual for my machine it says to line up and start at the bottom of the fabric

    Is that plastic part that goes in front of controller that you pull down that you have attached to your plastic button assembly is that a separate part you have to attach, or am I just missing the one on mine for no reason whatsoever? I cannot even get this to work because that plastic piece is missing.

    What if the button is larger than the button hole foot?

  • @jojosewist8921
    @jojosewist8921 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, but your 2nd buttonhole doesnt line up with the first one. Qyestion becomes how to know where each buttonhole is beginning and ending. Not only need vertical line, but need horizontal start line too. Thanks for how to use the foot to make button hole, but now must fugure out how to be sure all buttonholes start in same position on fabric.

    My machine doesn't have a full-automatic button-hole function. Only a semi-automatic one (4-step, I think). And when I first tried it the stitches were way too big and I ended up not using that function at all (I used zig-zag-stitches instead).

  • @MykiWms
    @MykiWms 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    If your buttonholes have interfacing use it in your test too, I also learned to line up with the markings on the foot.
