I went on a tour of this McDonald's set back in the 90's with its old facade. It was pretty cool the entire basement area was dressing rooms and makeup chairs and all the tables in the lobby were moveable to get camera shots for commercials.
I filmed many commercials there in the late '90s, early '00s. They would feed the crew McDonald's burgers & fries for lunch, which had to be brought in from an actual McDonald's down the street.
I honestly have never heard of Mac and Me. This is why I love your channel Scott. You expose me to the oddest uploads. What an interesting topic!! That's my generation X!!😁 Best time ever. Thank you my friend!! You never disappoint. 😊
My late aunt was an actress and, about 35 years ago, she filmed a commercial at that location. It's not really a "fake" McDonald's as it is fully equipped and functional on the inside. It's just not open to the public. The good news for my aunt was that it wasn't far from her house in Pasadena. It was a nice easy drive for a commercial shoot. The bad news was that, unlike some companies that run commercials for months - if not years - McDonald's commercials only run for a matter of weeks and then are replaced by newer commercials, so residuals to the actors are quite limited.
I am in a wheelchair. My coworker when she gets annoyed with someone dumb I’ve said, tells me she’s “gonna push me down a hill” now I have to show her that clip. Thanks Scott! 😂
When my mother was wheelchair bound after dealing with pneumonia, we’d joke around and park her wheelchair in handicapped parking spots while we were walking, for a few minutes, she’d get a laugh out of it each time. I love people whom don’t let their ailments and disabilities get in the way of anything! 😊
There was a McDonalds in CA near the border that the cops discovered had tunnels underneath, and they would bring pot in, underground tunnels, had lights and cats, and at night someone saw trucks there and the pot was distributed there. Maybe the same one?
I grew up in that area, drove by that place hundreds of times. Never knew that was there. Down the street is mall where Back to the Future was filmed too.
I've seen recent videos of Puentes Hills Mall and it looks nearly dead. What a shame, being as how that iconic scene of Back to the Future was filmed in the parking lot. 😖 Have you been there recently?
My dad tried out & was given the job of one of the 1st Ronald McDonald's but couldn't take the paycut as he had just married my mom a year prior, and was starting a family!! This was around 1968-1969!! My dad LOVED the idea of being a clown, and would have been AWESOME at it thankfully he had a chance before passing on in December of 2021!! Just a neat anecdote to a neat video!!💜💚💙

This was a real Whopper of a video..I loved it! Except I had a real beef that I couldn't go to this particular McDonalds restaurant. I used to eat at McDonalds all the time. I haven't been to a McDonalds in three years, It cost about the same as a nice sit down meal at a restaurant. So I go to the restaurant.
I’ve came to the same conclusion. Plus the quality of McDonald’s has hit the skids for the ridiculous prices they are charging. They also no longer have any salads or grilled options.
I barely go to McDonald's now cause I'm gluten free now due to sensitivity and also lactose intolerant (I've actually been lactose intolerant since I was a kid) and then I'm also trying to be careful with soy cause I'm sensitive to that I just cant win but when I was growing up I did go there and I loved thier Mcflurry or sundaes and also there nuggets and fries and also thier chicken sandwiches
RE McDonald's barge. Reminds me of when I was growing up, and while in Scouts we took several trips out west. A couple times we stayed in St. Louis. While there, we ate at McDonalds, which was in a riverboat floating in the river. Looking it up, it was there from 1980-2000.
Okay so, this is the town I grew up in. We’ve always known about this location. If you went in you wouldn’t be seeing much, just the same as a normal McDonald’s but empty. I didn’t know it was still a thing, so it’s cool to see it again. For nostalgia it would be cool to see it like the old 80s McDonalds instead of all modernized. I can’t even imagine it having much of a purpose anymore. Weird.

I Cant believe Im admitting this, but I worked at McDs for 10 years until I was out of debt. Quitting that infernal job was, and STILL is the best feeling of evvvvver. Whoever invented the line "the customer is always right" is DEAD WRONG. I've had large full cups of soda thrown at me for not handing out enough ketchup packets, an old fart who absolutely would NOT pay a dime of sales tax on his meal (he held up the line for an hour until the cops showed up and made him leave-we all clapped and cheered when he moved his giant hearse of a car) Ive had a drunk guy try and break the lobby window one night during COVID because the doors were locked, a full on naked unashamed couple drive thru to order ice cream with my 16 year old co workers gawking at them like pervy idiots, 2 grown men get into a fist fight in the drive thru because the guy behind the other guy was staring at the other guys girlfriend, cars break down in a raging blizzard, getting threatened with assault because the biggest hunk of junk on the planet ice cream machine was being cleaned, some homeless lady tried to hide out in a bathroom stall while we were closing at midnight, weirdos following me out to my car, etc. I was in tears of joy when I told my then boss to take this job and SHOVE IT. I worked at McDonald's for 8 years and quit on my birthday as a gift to me. I and my coworkers got drinks tossed at us, ice cream cones hurdled back at us through the drive through window ect. I cant tell you how glad i was to leave that hell hole!!!!
There's a massive tower in Connecticut. No one lives or works in it, but it saves thousands of lives every year. It's the Otis Elevator company's testing tower where they test safety equipment for elevators.

I've had large full cups of soda thrown at me for not handing out enough ketchup packets, an old fart who absolutely would NOT pay a dime of sales tax on his meal (he held up the line for an hour until the cops showed up and made him leave-we all clapped and cheered when he moved his giant hearse of a car) Ive had a drunk guy try and break the lobby window one night during COVID because the doors were locked, a full on naked unashamed couple drive thru to order ice cream with my 16 year old co workers gawking at them like pervy idiots, 2 grown men get into a fist fight in the drive thru because the guy behind the other guy was staring at the other guys girlfriend, cars break down in a raging blizzard, getting threatened with assault because the biggest hunk of junk on the planet ice cream machine was being cleaned, some homeless lady tried to hide out in a bathroom stall while we were closing at midnight, weirdos following me out to my car, etc. I was in tears of joy when I told my then boss to take this job and SHOVE IT. Glad y'all like the food, but I will NEVVVER go to McDs again im my life. EXCEPT for the coffee. They do have good coffee. I worked at McDonald's for 8 years and quit on my birthday as a gift to me. I and my coworkers got drinks tossed at us, ice cream cones hurdled back at us through the drive through window ect. I cant tell you how glad i was to leave that hell hole!!!!
