Reading Bleach for the first time 20 years later, I gotta say I'm having a really good time. I don't think I like it as much as Naruto or One Piece, possibly due to nostalgia, but I think it's good nonetheless. I agree with you about the fights though. Idk what it is because Kubo's art is solid. All the action in the manga is really energic and well framed. For some reason, most of the fights are exciting in the moment, but I can only think of a handful of battles I really liked or I have trouble picking out scenes I remember being well choreographed. So far, I think the action in the arrancar arc is better overall though.

If she trained her abilites more and wasn't afraid of killing/fighting people, then her defeating Kenpachi may not even be that far out of the question.
Honestly, I agree. The quantity of Bleach fights can be a bit jarring (it'll only get worse from here). But that's what makes some of these bigger fights especially memorable. Ichigo vs Byakuya is still one of my all time favourites to this day
I'm curious how Damian will feel about the Fullbring arc since while canon and leads to tybw, Fullbring arc is hated by the bleach fandom for being slice of life with minimum fights and low scale threat compared to previous arcs like Soul Society and Arrancar arc. Also ignore the fillers, also what i hate about the anime's early Arrancar arc is they shoved those Bount filler characters into canon material.
Yeah fullbringer arc has way better writing than the Hueco Mundo arc imo. Hueco Mundo wasn't just not good it actually harmed the world building. It went from a cool purgatory/hellish domain to a white dessert full of clowns and maybe like 3 hollows that even resembled something demonic.
Ok I'd suggest watching the filler arcs on a different time than the Canon once but you might miss out on some references also some of them are really funny and help with lore
