That’s why I appreciated that you said that! People have touted this online without understanding how horrible it can be when used the wrong way or if you don’t need it! Thank you for clarifying! ❤
We all missed you, it's been too long. Obviously you post everything on IG, but the YT group still misses the updates. (I also just hit 49th month as a twitch sub. December i'll officially hit that 50 month mark. Crazy how time flies)
🥺 This is literally my story! I've been struggling with weight loss for years now! Same thing, eating clean 90% of the time, drinking a gallon of water, sleeping 8+ hour consistently, going to the gym 3-5 times a week, doing a workout program, etc. And I would have no progress and sometimes would experience weight gain, and it wasn't even muscle gain it was fat. I've seen multiple doctors saying I'm perfectly "healthy." Finally broke down and saw a nutritionists and I literally showed him my fitness app of all my logs: food, water, sleep, exercises! And he basically said he can't help me and that I'm doing everything correctly! Knowing something is off and having doctors saying otherwise is so defeating and messed with my mental health so much that I broke down cryint to the Nutritionist! Thank you for making this video and sharing your story! I will be reaching out to this doctor and I pray that this helps and gives me a better understanding of whats going on in my body. I truly appreciate you taking the time to do this. 💕 Also you were one of the first fitness influencers I started following back in the day so it's so nice to see these kinds of videos! Thank you!
Love that she took the time to express something very personal that no one willing to talk about, I’ve been working on myself, trying to cut off soda and junk. All I know is I drink water throughout the day, one big meal whenever I get home from work. if I’m working 12s then I end up snacking from vending machine but I’m trying to cut that out, just hard being on water only for 12 hours.
A huge thing I went through was doctors telling me to eat less and move more all the time. Finally saw a nurse practitioner who went through the same thing and she discovered I wasn’t eating nearly enough which made the insulin resistance worse. So glad you found what works for you!!
I’ve struggled with weight and cholesterol my whole life, and as someone that has hashimoto I was always told to just take my medication and eat normal. In two months of going animal based I’ve lost 18 lbs and my numbers have improved significantly!
This is so rad! So happy for you and that you're on the animal based train - I love the term "ancestral" based too! Animal based eating helped heal my cravings and binge eating and I haven't eaten sweets like I used to in years! Every time I do feel a bit off, I lean into more steaks or ground beef and it feels like my body reroutes me and my blood sugar. Congrats and thank you for sharing your journey 👏🏽
I was also diagnosed with NAFLD in September, I was told to stay away from saturated fat so that elimated dairy and most meat except for fish. I will schedule a test in feb to see if there are improvememts. I was also dianosed with diabetes and was told Metformin will increase insulin sensitivity. I have gone plantbased non-processed and lost 12 pounds in about 2 months. I am 6ft 238lbs now and my goal is 180lbs. I will kill for a Snickers right now.
Proud of you and the progress you have made to be happy n healthy! Keep up the great work. I’ve got a healthy snickers for ya buy some dates cut in half and put a nut in it, add peanut butter then shut it and dip them in chocolate put them in fridge or freezer and bam got yourself a sweet treat for later & so many benefits with dates too!
SO so happy for you that you finally found the answer!!! You're an angel for sharing this. I'm 5 ft 2 and I've been struggling with weight loss too - I have a history of yoyo dieting in my teens/early 20s (I just turned 30 this year too) and I've been fluctuating between 110lbs and 140lbs over the past 5 years. Since gaining fat after my previous "body transformation" with a coach (which was really healthy to be fair but life got in the way and I gained all the weight back and more), I find it SO much harder to lose fat now despite following the same plan. Calories in and calories out is an oversimplification for sure. As someone who did successfully lose fat through IIFYM and things like that before, I *know* it's not a case of moving more and eating less, and I had a feeling I was insulin-resistant. I'd loveee to see more content about your animal-based diet (what I eat in a week and things like that!) and the supplements you're taking💓
Jasmine, I am so proud of you! The animal based lifestyle is awesome. It's helped my partner get off prescription pills & helped me get rid of my sugar cravings.
I am so freakin proud of you for NOT doing the weightloss shot. I mean you do you, BUT your lifestyle change is fabulous and that’s really where it’s at. Sustainable for life and such a great mindset. Go you girl! Insulin resistance is real for sure once that’s in check it’s a breeze!! So happy for you!! 😊❤
Oh my God, this video helped me so much. I literally have the same issues as you and have been trying to help myself for years and its been such a shot in the dark. But I plan on going to see this doctor in my city who was recommended to me and I want to tell him to test my insulin because I think that's what the issue is. I've been struggling to lose weight for 5 years despite eating well and exercising and nothing works. My family also has a history of cancer and diabetes and also hypothyroidism... After watching this video, you inspired me to go see a doctor. I've been hesitant to see a doctor because all the doctors in the past have told me that I am fine and basically make me feel stupid and dramatic. I'm getting married next year and I want to lose 10 to 15lbs. Wish me luck!
I AM ROOTING FOR YOU! YES!! Ask them to do your fasted insulin and fasted glucose!! I really really hope you get the answers you’re looking for and weight loss IS possible!! The sooner you schedule the appt, the sooner you progress.
8:06-8:22 is something that spoke to me on a soul level. As someone who has followed you since the beginning, during the height of fitness influencers. I feel that I have mentally gone through the same hoops with my weight. In that time I was already at the lowest with my weight but mentally the most unhealthy. From the outside looking in, I was eating in such a restrictive way. I have dieted so many times since then. Since 2020 I’ve gained 80 pounds and can’t mentally go through dieting again but I also can’t live in this body anymore
I've been doing animal based with a calorie deficit and it does really work. I have been animal basedish though, I'm including rice and steel cut oats when I feel like eating it. I don't bloat anymore and the food noise has almost completely gone away.
🧡Aww! It's so great to see you! I was just thinking about you today and wondering if you’ve become a Pilates instructor yet! Thanks for sharing your new lifestyle change! Keep it up girly!
Ugh no I haven’t !! My ADHD makes everything feel urgent hehe I’m still considering it but getting certified is v expensive and I have other financial goals to hit first!
@ I totally get where you're coming from getting certified can be a big investment, but it sounds like you’re thinking things through really well. I believe you’ll get there when the time is right! In the meantime, keep sharing your journey; I love seeing your updates! 🧡💪✨
We have such similar journeys! I was having horrible PMS symptoms and just knew something was very off and so I went to a functional nutritionist. We did so much testing - blood and stool which showed my gut and glucose were so off. Started berberine and a couple other supplements, eating whole foods focusing on protein/cutting gluten dairy when possible/foods that would help my gut bacteria and it has been such a game changer. My PMS disappeared and I’m my lowest weight in 5 years, feeling so good! 👏🏻
I’m so happy for you!! I have been a long time follower and supporter and your current journey is very similar to mine. I just recently got diagnosed with some health issues and I am trying to find ways to lose the weight naturally before being able to be out on weight loss medication. Watching this video just gave me hope that things will work out as long as I stick to the plan. Please make more videos of your journey! 🙏🏻
Omg!!! Girl this has been my life!! I have hashimotos my cholesterol is always high. My inflammation is always high. Currently working on Fasting like a girl!!
Im late. Im so happy you're back, ive missed you and Jaz we have similar history with our diets. I also cut out heavy dense carbs and processed ones along with sugars. They dont make me feel good and I get badly ill. 😊
Thank you for sharing this! I am pre-diabetic and insulin resistant and diabetes and all the scary things run on either sides of my family. This diet might be my new strategy, but I love my breads and sweets :( lol
I think the universe is telling me something because this video is the first thing that i saw when i got on this morning. Recently diagnosed with the exact same thing with my liver literally as of yesterday, my doctor is putting me on Metforman to help with the fatty liver. Crazy is i have been doing the same thing with eating “ healthy “ lots of whole foods, fruit and working out 5 times a week and doing all the walking and all the things and nothing was happening. I weigh the same as well and I’m only 5’1, your video has opened my eyes a little more and wanting to try this lifestyle with food as well and maybe see. My doctor also wanted me and was pushing me to take Ozempic as well and i turned it down. Thank you for this video ❤
Wow! This video came at the perfect time for me. I got on monjauro due to eating 1200 calories and burning 1000 calories according to my Apple Watch and weight staying the same. First month on the med I dropped so fast with doing the same lifestyle routine. Been wanting direction for diet due to not being able to stay on the medication because eventually I want to have a baby. To be honest having to choose between being healthy and having a baby is a hard choice. Hearing the success with animal based diet gives me hope. ❤ so excited for you Jazz. I know your struggle. I’ve always been thin and people telling me rude comments to my face surprises me. I’ve been told to insult people back but tbh that’s not who I am & I’m just shocked people behave that way.
I’m experiencing all the symptoms you mentioned you was. Im going to look into getting the blood work to see if I’m also experiencing insulin resistance. Thanks for the info
Also struggling a lot with my weight. It’s been so hard to “stick to it” I feel like I’m always so tired my body hurts. I wonder if Kaiser would be willing to support me like this
I’m curious when your die off symptoms subsided? Currently dealing with similar issues and also found out through blood work I’m insulin resistant and severely iron deficient!
Ugh it took a solid 2-3 weeks. It was ROUGH. I also took a break for a week as it’s recommended with berberine!! Annoying discovery but also feel relief that we can reverse this!
I totally can see that. I started iron infusions and it makes you feel awful and you don’t really feel the benefits for a few weeks. Thank you for sharing your story!
Omg lol this video took me back to the time i took physio 😂 im so glad u broke it down to the ppl that dont know what that means, it took me forever to know how it works and this is exactly how my professor explained it 😂 but girllll thank you for providing awareness and letting us know your journey! Ive missed ur videos! And im so happy that you found ur answers ☺️❤️ keep doing what ur doing !! Ur already doing great! Cant wait to hear more about your journey! ☺️❤️
I am also 5’1 and have noticed, in the past year-year and a half, my weight has creeped up and I’m trying to lose it but it’s just harder now despite eating in a calorie deficit and forcing myself to workout. I am tired! I feel lazy to even do the workouts! I feel I need to get a physical and have my blood checked. I would love to have the results you had. Thank you for this! 🫶🏼
Isn’t it so discouraging?? If you can, go to a holistic/naturopathic doctor! I find regular doctors to be the most dismissive. I hope you get the answers you’re looking for
I had a similar situation with insulin and also my cortisol levels… F45 made it worse because it’s HIIT and it’s a major stressor. It’s just cardio not actual weight training. I’d just be mindful of that and maybe just try weight training again but not cardio weights.
Berberine made me violently ill. Like I felt like I was dying. Do not just take this. ❤
Pinning this! Absolutely, it is not for everyone!
That’s why I appreciated that you said that! People have touted this online without understanding how horrible it can be when used the wrong way or if you don’t need it! Thank you for clarifying! ❤
I love that you’ve finally got answers! Rooting for you on this journey ❤
Me too!! I feel so much relief 🥲
We all missed you, it's been too long. Obviously you post everything on IG, but the YT group still misses the updates. (I also just hit 49th month as a twitch sub. December i'll officially hit that 50 month mark. Crazy how time flies)
Joe, you’re the best for supporting me!! :’) I’ll be back more often on here for sure
I started my journey in May and I am down almost 40lbs, now I’m soo excited to follow your journey!! ❤ keep it up :)
Good for you Jaz, you look and hopefully feel incredible, so proud of you. Keep going and sharing what you are comfortable with
Thanks girl! I’m feeling really really good!! :’)

Oh yes, would love to !! I think I’ll do more animal based video answering questions :)

This video has inspired me to go to the doctor! Thank you. Which brand raw cheese is your fav??

Do you eat any bread at all or sweet potatoes or oatmeal
Hey Jaz, did you find a good meal plan to support you in finding ideas for the meal to create?
More Dr need to give their patients options and explain what each option will do.
Im interested in knowing more about this journey! You look great 🤗
Its December 14th, Where are the Vlogmas videos !!!!!!!???????
Did she address your cholesterol specifically or waiting to see what impact the diet has?

So happy you found something that works for you! 😊💗
How do you make sure you get enough fiber on this diet for your microbiome?
I can't believe you weighed 150 lbs. You hold you weight very well at 5'1.
I had a similar situation with insulin and also my cortisol levels… F45 made it worse because it’s HIIT and it’s a major stressor. It’s just cardio not actual weight training.
I’d just be mindful of that and maybe just try weight training again but not cardio weights.
I’m only doing their weight training days! We have 3 weight lifting days and the rest are HIIT and I don’t go to those 😂 not my speed!!
Please make a what I eat on a day !! I want to try this diet
What mag do you take love from Montreal ❤❤❤
What about vegetables?
Congratulations! Thoughts on Lemme GLP-1??
It’s not effective and more of a marketing ploy
What’s your goal weight?
Ideally 130lbs. But I also am just paying attention more to how my body looks vs scale !
Hi, Jazmine!😊😊😊😊😊. Long time no see! I missed you and...looking fabulous 7:36 ! WOW!!😀😍💙💙💙💙💙💙💙🙏🍁🌷🍁💖⭐💖⭐💖⭐💖⭐💖🎇💖🎇👍

Animal based is the way to go! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Hey! So you're not allowed to leave us again! ❤ only half kidding 😂
Hi Jaz. Were you also prescribed tirzepatide after all? 😊😊
