You can open the rear without the key with the keyless entry. Just use the button above the license plate with the key in your pocket and it will open. Also, there is a lot of road noise because of the run flat tires. Put some nice radials on there and you will have a smoother ride and less road noise.
I have a mini coupe S 2014 . Everyday atleast one person asks me what car is it and also i get the looks hen i get gas. Now that they stop making this model its very rare i see one
raazs35 Just took my 2014 JCW Coupe out & passed three within five miles. They’re out there but I haven’t seen another like mine in three years ( Silver White/Chilli Red). No denying they’re a blast to drive & bring a grin to your face. 👍🏻
You don't have to use the key fob to open the trunk. With the keyless entry, you just need to use the button on the trunk. Also, you say it has less storage, but it has far more than the Cooper because the storage compartment is where the rear seats used to be.
not sure where the poor mans BMW comment comes from - MINI is it's own iconic brand even though it is in the BMW stable. We got our Coupe S last week - it's brilliant to drive, my wifes fourth MINI. video is pretty spot on although I'm 6'0" and don't have any issues. You do get lots of looks though, very eye catching. as sporty runabouts go it blows everything else at this price away - Merc B class for same money doesn't even get a sniff :)
This is a Canadian review and even though we do speak the "Queen's" english for the most part, there are differences from time to time. Nobody, I mean nobody in Canada calls it a coupe, rather a "coop" as you describe it. Get over it.... This is not a review from Britain.
Is that true about the run flat tires being noisy? I just bought this car today(used) without driving it, having it shipped from somewhere else. I've been driving a Mini Cooper for the Last 8 years and have 190 thousand miles on it so it's time for a new one. I will switch out my tires from my old car to new if that's true about the run flats. Any opinions on the noise factor and run flats?
I guarantee you all the negative comments on here are from people who have never driven a mini or bmw. This car isn't marketed towards you. It's made by bmw so that should give you a clue. You can't buy even the lowest model bmw for this price. So the way I look at the mini is, it's the poor man's bmw. But have you driven one? They are really fun. Before you comment, you should at least drive one, but why bother commenting if it isn't even in your price range? You just come off as jealous.
Just about everything he says is bs.... I have this car and it's a 5/5 hands down. I recommend it to everyone (I'm 6'2 and have to issue with car size at all)
There is obviously a reason Americans say koop instead of coupe(I can't type accent), since they say touche, and not toosh. It's not just because we WANT to pronounce it incorrectly
Well for all the people that comment on "Oh it's for small people", it's for tall people too. Just not fat people that weigh at 300lbs. But I'm 6'0" and I am on my second MINI(first MINI was a base, and now my second is a "S") but I am definitely going to buy this one next and it will be a "JCW":-).
The word is, but the car is British, designed by Germans, and the reviewer is in Canada. English took the French word and got rid of the accent on the e, so it is pronounced "koop"
I have the 2013S model like this with silver body and black top no complaints except women keep saying its cute.I just say 0 to 60 in 6 seconds it's more than cute lol.
Still doesn't change the fact the coupé has the é pronounced in any language, and americans are too ignorant to know what é sounds like. Like me example above, do you say "toosh" instead of "touché"? Touché being a word many Americans like to use, and somehow manage to pronounce it correctly. I think my point has been made.
No it's English, for they say Shakespeare should only be read with an English accent, where actually shakespeare talked more closely to Americans. Thus the fact pisses off Englishmen like no other.

Yes, I agree, this Coupe is my best Mini ever. I have a 2003 Cooper S with super charger that my son drives still in great shape and performance, a 2009 Cooper S that my daughter drives, and I have the Coupe S that is a blast to drive. So we have our own Mini club right at home. The seat is adjustable so taller drivers can be accommodated. The car starts without the key fob in the receptacle, but I do not advice driving like that.
@@buildmorefarms1007 I must say in my case YES. I say that because I'm a sensible driver, keep the timely maintenance, slows down on rough roads. I had no issues during my time of ownership, but unfortunately had to trade up to an SUV. Will I buy it again = YES. It is a unique car that always catches peoples' eyes. It has a nice exhaust sound too. So much fun to drive. I really regret trading mine, but is was a choice between my wife or the coupe S. I love small 2 seater cars. I used to own an RX7, an MR2, and a Juke, never any issue - so I think reliability of cars also has to do with the kind of driver. Take care of your baby and it will take care of you. I hope you find a good one.
I have one and I LOVE IT! It's my 3rd MINI... third time is the charm!

I buying a 2013 this weekend so excited lol
Nice! I found one here in Omaha too.
They can make as many variations as they want, the 2-door hatchback will always be the best looking in my eyes.
Go to specsavers.

The version gives most sports car a run for their more money cars!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen one and YES it was attracting women like a shoe sale!

I feel like every reviewer ignores that you can adjust seat height...

Do you walk with a stoupe?
Yeah, nobody anywhere in North America calls a coupe a "coo-pay", we speak English here not French.
im english i say coop it sounds better but most here say coo-pay sounds a bit pampas imo the question is how do you pronouns jaguar

Any good quality summer (or even all-season) tire will be more quiet and ride a lot smoother than run-flats.
Mini cooper s coupe or mazda miata ??
Mini
Obviously Mini
Apples and Oranges my friend. That's like asking, "Tubes or Solid State" to an Audiophile.
I am 6'4" would i be able to fit in this?
+jay Day Of course, I'm 5'10 and I can adjust the seat so low that I can't see above the steering wheel...
cool im thinking about buying one for a commute car

Do! and if you can find the Cooper S 1.6L supercharged, get it! :)
Looks nice but something is just not flowing with the top.

Will this be comfortable for a person who is 6'2 300lbs I know the miatas are small for a taller , stalker guy
Get the bus Donut.
As much as I am in hopeless love with the Fiat Abarth, this car seems more sophisticated and more "of a piece" than the cute little Italian :)
According to MINI, that is exactly what you're supposed to think.
Why are all the comments about how people pronounce one word differently?
Why?
It's the principle.
it can easily fit 6'4 prob 6'6 comfy im 6'2 and have like 6 inches head room

it looks like its wearing a backwards baseball cap. lol
Not in reverse.
duh
no, you're thinking about Irish. And even Irish know to call a coupe a coupé and not a chicken coop.
4 "quite" s in ten seconds. That's quite a bit

Why can't the americans accept that they pronounce the word incorrectly?
Is it too difficult to say it right?
ok :) good day

It's French, it's coopay
