There's too much "acting" in these later reconstructions. Feels like the directors and actors are trying to use the reconstructions as part of their showreel. I don't blame them for that, actors spend a lot of time resting. But I prefer the earlier ones. The acting there didn't distract from Nick Ross/ Sue Cook's excellent voiceovers.
As time went on, the viewing figures for Crimewatch went down and down and down. I suppose they were probably trying anything to bring in more viewers.
@@th8257 Yeah, it had lots of relaunches. Contrary to some of the nonsense you read, the BBC gave it a lot of backing over a long period. I thought Rav Wilding as an ex copper had potential, and I liked the How They Caught thing, but otherwise it wasn't before time when it finished.
The ACC Lloyd Clarke didn't answer the question from Jill, why after 15 years are you making it high profile. IE, why haven't you caught him yet. Er because we have been shockingly incompetent & crap. 😂😂😂

By phoning the police and - it seems - setting off the alarm while evading one of the robbers he spooked them into running away. He then called for help which at the very least would have made witnesses pay attention and remember useful details and then phoned for an ambulance for his Dad. Seems like quick thinking to me.
