BEATS THE HELL OUT OF HAVING TO PAY $1,200 PLUS EVERY MONTH FOR A SMALL 1 BEDROOM 1BATH APARTMENT OR HOUSE THE WAY THE ECONOMY AND INFLATION IS, ME AND THE WIFE ARE DEFINITELY LOOKING INTO BUYING ONE OF THESE AT AGE 33 AND 41 BECAUSE HOUSES AND THE COST TO RENT IS BEYOND OUTRAGEOUS, NOT TO MENTION IT'LL BE SOMETHING WE'LL BOTH OWN TOGETHER
I’m thinking about getting one of these and giving up on everything, and just chase the nice weather around the US. Retire and forget about it. Fishing and hiking all year. My Honda says I can tow 3500 lbs, wonde if it sits to low for this.
I really like this camper. If I can figure out how to rent a space at a rv/trailer park, I’d prefer this for full time living over an apartment. Might be more affordable since the cost of living is so high, plus it’s pretty much a studio apartment already. I’m short so it’s a lot of space for me. Only downside is I’d have to go to a laundry mat, no closet or space for shoes, I have a small car so I’d have to rent a truck to take it anywhere, and there’s no micro sink in the bathroom. But honestly I think it’s worth it, he really did a good job advertising this 👍
heyyy/ but i wonder because of the inexpensive cost, how good is it made?...i don't know...by the end of 2023, CW advertised a bunch of these rigs as 2023 and didn't sell...i wonder how they got around to that?...change the table, change something etc and then say it is a 2024 model...many motor homes at this one lot are not selling...what do they do with those...just wondering
I have a washer dryer outside my RV it’s one of those combo ones and then I have it like in a little shed that used to store garbage cans so that’s a possibility.
As one person mentioned, check the roof and top vents make sure they are sealed good. ( do this on any camper you buy! ) I've had a chance to crawl over and under the 17b and 17r. The quality is on par with most campers except airstream/grand design and other premium trailers. I was inside a 17b at a camping world and a huge storm came. Didn't leak a drop from factory. For sumner camping and and fall this thing will get the job done. Just take care of it and a lil maintenance. The mattress, throw it out and upgrade. Cant be beat for the price. Ac will cool it very well to.
Me and my wife hope to purchase one later this year/earlier next year. We have a 6 week old baby boy that I hope to raise camping, just like my folks raised me! We used to tent camp, then upgraded into a Coleman popup, and used that for many many years. I'm so excited to give him the experiences I was given, in some style!!
Really nice review video. I enjoyed how you didn't sugar coat some of the downsides and offered solid advice of limitations of the camper. I'm definitely going to do more research on this camper thanks to this video

I think an option without the bunks would be great. Make it a closet instead. Definitely upgrade the seating area bc that looks extremely uncomfortable
I Really like this, especially that cute fireplace!👍. It has a lot of kitchen counter space, PERFECT, and it sleeps 5 too- that means the Rugrat grands will certainly be attending! ♥️. I wouldn't mind another window on the top bunk, a double door fridge, and netting over the storage area above the queen bed. And I love the lighter interior wood color, So appealing!

Yeah, l was really hoping they’d put a sink in the 2024 model. It’s inconvenient having to go brush in the kitchen where you would normally wash your food and utensils. I love the RV, but that’s the only thing holding me back.
This is so awesome! Will definitely be talking to my wife about purchasing one. We both want to travel the country when we retire in 3 years. All we need is a truck or SUV for towing. Would a minivan with a 3,000 lbs towing capacity be able to tow this trailer with an aftermarket transmission cooler? Will look into it. Is that an air conditioner system over the queen bed? We like visiting Lake Havasu during the summer and the heat can get unbearable...
Hey everyone it looks like a single-axle trailer so you will need to do this: When backing a trailer, you turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction. Once the trailer starts to turn, you must turn the wheel the other way to follow the trailer.
Selling my house and buying one of these i can't wait to start my new adventure at all year around campground gonna do some posts on my IG about it when i get it
Of course if we had one of these we would definitely be in love with the camper rv we have wanted rv for ever but we would have to wait until we can pay down-payment before we can get it but we are considering it since we are going to have to be back and forth to Texas for medical reasons

Put a window in the door. Put an opening window at the foot of the bed. Install a MaxAir vent fan in the bath. Hi There! This camper is designed for three-season camping. For the colder winter months, you'd like need something with features like added insulation, heated holding tank pads, and more...unless of course you plan on heading south!

Can you answer if the structure has double welds in the walls?
Hi Claudia!
You might be interested in reading our article on how this trailer's brother/sister, the Coleman Lantern LT 17R, is made: blog.campingworld.com/find-your-rv/how-the-coleman-lantern-lt-17r-is-made/
If you have any additional questions after reading that, drop them in the blog's comments section and I'd be happy to reach out directly to the manufacturer for clarity.
Hope that helps!

I am getting one ❤
Would a 2023 Subaru Forester be able to haul this?
Hi There!
I recommend using our towing calculator to check your truck's towing capacity: rv.campingworld.com/towguide

I wonder if my Toyota chr will be able to tow any trailer at all😭 Can’t find any info on the website.
Hi, thanks for reaching out. You can find the towing capacity of your vehicle here! rv.campingworld.com/towguide
Keep in mind that the dry weight of campers doesn't include the weight of anything you store in it, so you will need to account for that added weight in towing as well.
owners manual has that info
@@water_feind9152 yea it says it’s made not to tow but it also says it can tow 4200 so everything says different things
Bro could sell ice to eskimos.
Probably will end up buying one lol
There have been so many bad quality RV's coming off the lines, plus very bad service from dealers, that I would be scared to buy this one, it's already made with the most cheap materials possible
Is the hot water tank propane or electric?
Propane
You are 27 years old? Wow.
Is there an AC unit in the 17b?
Yes there is. It's a side wall mounted unit by the bed.

Hi..is this a 4 season RV?
Hi There!
This camper is designed for three-season camping. For the colder winter months, you'd like need something with features like added insulation, heated holding tank pads, and more...unless of course you plan on heading south!
So the answer to the? Is no.
How tall is the ceiling?
The interior height on this unit is 75".
Hope that helps!

Hi Warren. Yes, call your nearest Camping World service team for assistance on that!
Have they seriously gone to electric only heating in a camping trailer?!? So, no boondocking then huh?
Unfortunately not in this one. However, there are several similar to this layout that came out this year with a furnace.
