The most coherent instruction available on TH-cam, others were unnecessarily meandering and confusing. The connection, as explained cost me £5, so I owe you a pint!
Thank you Mark for the clarification on how to connect dual monitors properly. I also appreciate that you show how to setup the display preferences for the monitors, this was a very helpful video!
Thank you very much. After watching three videos previous oo your, your was right on the money and so simple to understand, some people get hooked up with the technicals parts and make something so simple very difficult to understand. I'm sbscribed!
I stumbled upon your video out of desperation and wow you helped fix my mouse issue. I wasn't able to toggle from the left monitor to the right one without hitting an imaginary wall and all I needed to do was grab my main monitor and place it on the other side. phew thanks a bunch!
Perfect video! I was able to connect my second monitor within the first minute and half of your video. The rest had a couple useful tips too. I'm definitely going to subscribe.
Lovely, great that you immediately come to the issue, and I just decided to buy mac mini, and thought the HDMI splitter is the only way, and with my laptop is does not work. Subscribed !
This is great. Nice and simple unlike most videos on the same topic. Question: So what is the plan of attack if I wanted to add a third monitor? Thanks!
The Mac mini doesn't support three monitors, but if you want to add a third monitor you will most likely have to add an extra piece of hardware. (Dell D3100 USB Hub) Check this article out: functionalthoughts.com/how-to-run-a-mac-mini-with-3-monitors/ Also, I can't make any promises on how valid that information is.
I have a small question, didn't watch the whole video again. But which mac mini m1 version do you have? and on which resolution are your screens? I have a 16gb/1tb and am experiencing serious lag
Thank you for the helpful video!! Every couple days, when I move the mouse to start the computer, my main display (monitor with the menu bar) will switch to the right side for no reason. Any fix?
Hello Ryan, try the following fix. Navigate to the Apple menu, then go to system preferences and select mission control. Inside mission control, uncheck the box that says "Displays have separate spaces. Hope that helps
I got hdmi adapter for Mac mini but when I used it the monitor was just mirroring but couldn't use both screens at a time...and it didn't show me that I could arrange the Windows do I need to but a usb C adaptor instead ?
It seems very simple. I have two Fujitzu monitors from 2008. They work via VGA or DVI (1080p Resolution and no HDMI). I am thinking of buying a Mac Mini M2 pro. Do you think these two monitors would work? If they would work, how would you set them up? Thank you very much.
Awesome video! If you have two Thunderbolt to HDMI cables, would the dual screen setup still work if you plug each screen directly behind the thunderbolt ports in the mac mini? Will both Thunderbolt and USB-C both work interchangeable? They both looked the same but not sure if there's any support issue or restrictions if you use one or the other.
I guess it just depends on what you need them for. If you’re a gamer/you may want to get a 4k monitor(Check Amazon best sellers list for 4k monitors),but for normal use I would stick with 1080p.Here’s the link to the monitors I’m using (they are both 1080p) www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B087QRW81Z/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Is there such a thing as plugging in one monitor (monitor #1) into my Mac Mini M2 via USB-C on both ends, and then running a cable from monitor #1 to monitor #2? Effectively thinking of using only 1 USB-C port on the Mac Mini. Is this a thing at all?
what monitor do You use ? Is there good picture quality ?, what resolution You set ? I read about problems With scaling for external monitor conected with apple M1 devices is text sharp or blurry ? sorry for my english
I use one HDMI port for HDMI splitter for 3x screens; one on stage, back, and side. One main monitor on the desk using USB C. I'm trying to figure out if we can use a USB C splitter or use the other USB C port. It's so bugging lol
will this work if i have a dell monitor and an Imac computer and a mac mini? Meaning i run the hdmi cable from my mac mini to my dell monitor and then run a usb c tu usb c cable from my mac mini to the Imac usb c computer on the back? Do you think that will work or this this only good for pc monitors?

This is the only video that I’ve seen that go straight to the point that’s what people want ❤
Thanks. You went right into the issues, instead of a long useless monologue like some vids. I used your setup and it works perfectly.
YES.....no monologue!!!
FINALLY RIGHT TO THE POINT ... 20 VIDEOS FROM OTHER TH-cam GUYS DIDN'T GET NOTHING. AND THIS VIDEO .. EXPLAIN ME EVERYTHING.. THANKS
I like that you get right to the point. Too many TH-camrs think they are comedians or actors. Drag on WAY too long. Nice Job!
I purchased an HDMI to USB-C cable for the 2nd monitor (no dongles/splitter). SUCCESS!
This video saved my nerves. I know just enough to get in trouble. Thank you for explaining this simply in plain language.

Does the volume or brightness keys on the Mac keyboard work with non apple displays?
Great question. I'm curious as well. I hate that it usually doesn't on my Mac Mini M1.
@@redcapote4760 I tried it and it didn’t work on an acer display I had

Is that possible to connect with one ultra wide monitor and a 4k monitor at as time?
I have a small question, didn't watch the whole video again. But which mac mini m1 version do you have? and on which resolution are your screens? I have a 16gb/1tb and am experiencing serious lag
hey Mark thats for the tutorial do you know if the m2 mac mini can support 144hz displays. Thanks

Under System Preference - display- Arrangements, make sure the mirror display box is unchecked.
Great instruction..Thank you! Are there displays on the market where you don't need adapters?

Yes, the setup you described should work
Awesome thanks!
Great video Mark, thank you. Do you have any brand/model monitor "not too expensive" to suggest?
I guess it just depends on what you need them for. I’ve Mac same Mac mini, can I connect projector and monitor with that adapter?
Thank you Mark.
Does this work on older mac mini versions? I have the 2018 model.

Not to my knowledge. You will need two cables for dual monitors.
what monitor do You use ? Is there good picture quality ?,
what resolution You set ?

What is the monitor stand you are using for dual?
Great video
My Mac mini does not have thunderbolt ports on the back. Is there a video showing how to do the setup without thunderbolt ports?
Thanks bro..
Hi, I really liked your tip, but your video just lacked you to say if you were using 4k 2.5k or 1080p resolution
