when changing the esc to support 2S lipo, do you have to change the receiver in the car to fit 7.2v?
What about stock? I took mine apart and I'm only seeing a receiver no esc, also are nickel cadmium batteries in water ok?

I got my c14 and c24 kit today got the c14 rtr and it’s nice not to great but not to bad but it does need serious work to be good

Yeah I really have been enjoying the hell out of it. I took a modified blade heli 180 motor and stuck it in the 130 gear box and oh boy tons of low end and also speed to get out of the way

You hav'nt try the parafine ? You light a candel(in the wind) and you put the parafine on the electronics parts !!
Sounds like a good idea, I might try it on another truck.
How about the dynamo? My dynamo got burned after it hit a water...But the water didnt hit my ESC

Yeah just bought the C24 for super cheap on Gearbest. I was wondering what paint you think works with weathering these? The best?
I use a dark 'earth' weathering powder with some thinners and cover it all over, and then lightly rub it off with tissue. Also use small amounts of rust coloured paint. The good thing about weathering is you can make mistakes and it sometimes makes it look better lol!
Since I am planning on buying the kit I could just buy an already waterproof servo and reciever like my ecx ruckus has.

@@TomleyRC also if I get the kit version would all I need to get would be an esc, reciever with controller, battery, and battery charger. I am new to this stuff and want to try my luck out finally trying to put an rc together.

The 180 motors from the kits run ok. I’ve just fitted a twin N30 motor set up to this, hopefully will get out to do some recording this weekend 👍🏻 I may upgrade to metal parts at some point.

How long did the battery last please and did you have to change connector to connect battery to the esc
Yes, I had to change the connector. This battery was good for about 30mins

Ok so what are the main parts that are destroyed from water in an rc car? Motors and batteries are OK in water, so does esc only have to be waterproofed then?
If the battery is a Lipo then it needs to be water proofed otherwise it could catch fire and explode
@@crackedthieves Um well I didn't see any RC TH-camr talking about waterproofing Lipos. Plus Lipo batteries are stock waterproof already, and I don't think it will catch fire & explode in water. Because I had few RC Cars, which were waterproof as well as their Lipos were waterproof
That's cool. What servo are you using in the truck?
It's from my old Ripmax 1:16 buggy, but there are lots of Micro servos out there. I don't recommend the cheap Chinese ones of eBay though, had a few issues with them (interference)

RTR, but I added an ESC & Micro servo. I used a servo from my old ripmax 1:16 buggy. I wouldn't recommend a cheap ebay Servo, they can be un reliable.

I've been running my little 20A ESC on a 2s 7.4 Lipo, something to think about though, it may just be because I've been giving the truck some beef...but I've burnt out 2 motors so far. Going to try a slightly bigger motor this time. But the ESC has been fine :)

Stock motor with a 2s Lipo, so the extra poke is from the Lipo & upgraded ESC (link in the description for the ESC) Lipo is a 1600mah Turnigy

I had to turn on the Close Caption to understand what you were saying. Obviously English is not your first language. SMH.
The captions are generated automatically, which means my voice must have been clear enough for a computer to work out what I was saying. I'd maybe consider looking in to some hearing aids if you are struggling Mr Kemble. smh.

I'm bored with computers and was looking for a new hobby when, I noticed a white WPL C24. Now, I am thoroughly addicted to the dam things. I've been watching every single video about them. Yours came up in the list and I was very impressed with your knowledge, your video, and your machines. Monday is payday and I'm going to order one of the dam things, lol.
I went to my local R/C store yesterday looking around and the guy. initially, acted like he had never heard of WPLs. Then, he's like, Oh, yeah those are just available on Amazon. I set him straight on a bunch of places to get them. I just found out that Walmart has them in their online store.
The clerk had his rig sitting on the counter. A Traxxas Chevy Blazer, I think it was. It looked OK. But, a C24 would totally blow his away in the car show. I don't know about performance yet though. I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands. I decided that I'm going to build a C24 and carry it up there and show the bunch of snobs that were there, what's up. Which is why I've been studying all of the videos about them. You were at my channel, so you may have seen the photo of me, in my green Super Bee at the drags 40 years ago. I built the 413 motor in that thing. I am not afraid. I'll definitely be watching more of your videos. Hey! A video of me carrying a bad assed WPL into that crazy expensive store might be interesting.
