Omg, you're GORGEOUS! And I love your wardrobe choices! But, more than anything else, your history content is top notch. Keep up the superlative work! 😊
We mistakenly got in line that was meant for the crown jewels. We wanted to see the White Tower. When we realized our mistake my daughter said "why would you stand in line to see a bunch of jewelry when you could see a prison!". I guess her criminal justice major is well chosen field of study.
I bought a 1775 British half penny that a guy found in Ohio didn’t realize that coin was minted in the London tower until now kinda cool to see how that coin relates American history to British history and how they are socially and culturally connected in so many ways a coin minted in a medieval tower, used in circulation during the American revolution.
One other link between the 2- next to the tower is the church All Hallows By The Tower. William Penn who gave his name to Pennsylvania was baptised there!
It's not quite true that from 1279 until 1810 "all coins of the realm" were minted at the Tower; after 1279 there continued to be a number of (admittedlymainly small-scale) mints. It wasn't until 1553 that *all* coins were minted at the Tower, but later other mints were again set up, especially during the Civil War, and again at the time of William & Mary..
Are they the “Crown” Jewels or do they belong to the NATION; the Monarch can not sell or trade these NATIONAL TREASURES as they rightfully belong to the NATION just as the MONARCH belongs to the NATION; something the “GREAT QUEEN” Elizabeth the second, totally knew and understood (may her path for ever be radiant foe her). King Charles I hope in time comes to understand just that and continues in the GREAT QUEENS path and rids the NATION do nefarious and dastardly people who mean and do harm to the heart ♥️ of the NATION…
For 800 years theyve been Housed in The Tower. Heavily guarded. Obviously jewels will be in palaces too but this is where the Public can view them in London
No matter how many times I go to London, I ALWAYS carve out time for the Tower. I absolutely love it there.
Did you happen to grope the crown's family jewels?🍒🤔
Me too!! I sometimes bring a newbie with me in order to suck on their awe. 🤣🤣
Visiting next weekend… if you have any tips would love to hear them! Is there always a long queue to see the Crown Jewels?

You absolutely need your own TV show!
I had a special tour of the Tower through a professional association I belong to. The Crown Jewels are breathtaking, especially seen up close.
Yea it dose take your breath away the stolen shit it’s in your Gens .
Sadly they are only copies now and not the real thing.
Great presentation.
For Majesty & for Country.
The Crown Jewels I would say is the most exciting part just admiring the sparkle that I’m not allowed to touch 😍
What is the coolest pub in walkable distance from the tower? Something with a medieval vibe, maybe?!
The Hung Drawn and Quartered is not far away

A Magnificent Fortress. 👍🏰👑
The actual Mint was not at the Tower but just up the road from the Tower and the Building is still there.

Cool
Oh sure, put up a sign to show where the jewels are...
It was Edward I that’s responsible for its defense system and is responsible for moving the making of coinage to the Tower
Why you’re so cute ❤?
If you listen close, you can hear Edward iii nephews being murdered. How romantic!
Has anyone ever tried to rob or steal the Crown Jewels?

What's the name of the music in background?
Don't know but it definitely sounds like a piece by Handel.
His water music possibly?
They should let everyone take a pic with that hat on.

Your reply appreciated.
Flaumting stolen treasures
There's always one fragile anti racist 😂

every country has war trophies, go cry somewhere else
Cool, give them back to the countries they were pillaged from
All paid for or gifted over centuries, prove me wrong.
Toffs scoff while peasants starve.
Wait -- Englanders pronounce moat like moot? Weird
It's a moat-- I mean MOOT point.
Who cares?!
