I too have just discovered your channel (from Gayle suggesting it) and have begun to watch a lot of your collage processes. I have to tell you that I’m so glad that you did not process all of your fabric pieces before you added them to your envelope (you suggested this when you were decorating the front of the envelope in the first half of the video). Seeing you actually go through this process did me a world of good. I would have never known to save those small pieces of materials to use for collaging in my journals. Also, watching you choose what stamped piece of fabric to use was perfect too. When someone is searching for how to do this, I don’t think there is a better video out there for people who have never collaged like this before (such as myself). This is exactly the type of video that a person who has Zero experience with this type of crafting (or any crafting for that matter) needs. I can’t thank you enough!! I learned so much from this one video!! 🤗😇 I can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
Jennifer Denton I agree. Seeing the process is so much more helpful. I came over from Gayle also. Binge watching the whole weekend, I'm addicted. So happy I've been a hoarder lol.
Leslie H. Lol me too!! Now just getting it all set up so I can get it organized in a way to where I can get to it all and get started on some things, myself. Good luck to you. At least we have some great mentors! 😎😬
You have inspired me to get my sewing machine out again 😊These envelopes are so gorgeous, I want to make some as gifts. I don’t have all of the lovely papers that you have but I do have plenty of fabric (fabric hoarder!) Thank you for yet another fab video 🌹
Rachel. That’s so awesome and beautiful and stunning and fantastic........ I really love 💕 that envelope ✉️.......it’s superb!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I really love 💕 all you’re awesome work. xx Mags
Love these!! So pretty!! I think I might try it with 2 pieces of book paper with a sheet of card stock sandwiched between them so give it more strength.
So organized. These look so cute now I’m going to get my sewing machine out. So been trying to not . One more thing on my table. Well let’s go for it. !!
Love this. You did a great job in explaining every step. I made one along with you and just think it is the cutest thing. Will have to use these in my journals. Thanks for sharing.
I really, really liked this, and without a doubt I'm gonna give it a try. Loved the paper you used as the top liner, just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your time and talent.
Gee I really enjoyed watching this. Great tutorial. You certainly sew like a pro, so fast!!! Love this, its gone in my 'to do' list. Or TRY to do list. ha ha. Thanks so much for sharing a wonderful idea. xxx oh sorry, what would you do with this now. Could you put this into a journal at all? If so, can you please tell me how you would attach it xxx
Thank you so much! Yes you can definitely put it in a journal. I would clip it on or slip it into a pocket. Or you could not decorate the back and glue it in. Best wishes Rachel
Great video❣ Enjoyed watching your thought process for selection of elements for each grouping...Beautiful project! You are so talented and very inspiring. Became a subbie a few weeks ago and always look forward to your videos😊. Relax and enjoy visiting with your family😎...Ella in FL, USA
Super cute & I love how you took this envelope idea & put your own twist on it. Just a thought for you when stitching, try lengthening your stitch. On my machine, I set it at 4.5. Smaller stitches can just cut right through the paper, especially when it is thin like book pages. Also, here in the US, we have a product used by Dr's/Hospitals. It is paper tape. Like washi but sticks better. You can buy it on Amazon if you can't find it in a store. Anyway, when it is stuck down it becomes almost invisible. Especially on old book pages. This helps to reinforce creases and folds on old fragile paper like what you used here. Just a couple things I do/use when crafting. I make book page envelopes but I will definitely add the touches like you did. It makes them extremely versatile & very pretty. Thx so much for sharing this great idea. Almost forgot I LOVE the BEE lol.
I am new to crafting and was wondering why my sewing machine was eating my paper. Now I know. I will try this and see if it works for me. Thank you so much for the advice.
Thanks! Your videos are wonderful so no need to stress about them. I enjoyed all 50+ minutes of this video. I have been binge watching all of your videos. I have already started gluing the book pages together. I didn't know what to do with all of the book pages and now I can use them all up. And now I know to appreciate scraps of paper and fabric. Where do you get all of your scraps of fabrics. I live near lots of antique stores and there are vintage clothing stores as well. Would that be the place to find the fabrics to cut into? And what is the white fabric that you stamp the bee onto? Thanks, again! Off to watch another of your videos now. Texas subscriber here!
Thank you so much! I do a lot of sewing so as a result have a lot of scrap fabric. I would deifinitely check out the antique and thrift stores. I have a lot of handwoven antique hemp. It is typical in Italy and other parts of Europe, but especially in the region where I live. I stamp onto pieces of that. I have bundles of bits and pieces of hemp and linen in my shop. I use it a lot so always end up with many small pieces. Best wishes Rachel
Lol you will love it and so will I. 😉 Don’t worry about my time. I got all day. If you chose things before hand it would not be your video. Love the normal way you choose. It makes me giggle. Hence the labels which by the way I found I had two boxes in my stash. I know it’s a miracle!!!
Your sound or voice is so low then other TH-cam Crafters, that I can't hear you. And I have turned my phone up to the highest volume. Love your crafting.
hi Rachel can u turn the volume up on your speaker. I enjoy watching your videos but for some reason I have trouble hearing you! I don't seem to have that problem with any other video! thank you!
Rachel, I again can't hear you. this video is 14 months ago, so it appears you have fixed the problem, as I have no trouble hearing you in the latest videos. Love your work.
This looks great, however I can't hear you very well as your sound is on very low and my laptop is at full volume. Unfortunately I can't watch your videos without better sound. I'm sorry.
It's kind of a mixture of envelope and folio or folder, really really lovely, TFS and explaining!!
Thank you so much!

What size need do you usually use?
I don't have a fixed size but just use large book pages. Music pages would be good,
I’m sorry, I meant what size needle do you use.
Lol you will love it and so will I. 😉
Don’t worry about my time. I got all day.
If you chose things before hand it would not be your video. Love the normal way you choose. It makes me giggle. Hence the labels which by the way I found I had two boxes in my stash. I know it’s a miracle!!!
