Publishers want to sell unbiased on all platforms and consoles. If one console has better performance, profits for titles will skew towards that one over the others, resulting in Microsoft, OR Sony, being pissed at the publisher, rather than pleasing both of them. PC will always have superior hardware and drivers, so as a result publishers tends to favor consoles, because they can sell them enmass first, then port to PC, which they can collect 'bonuses'. If you do it the other way around, everyone will end up buying the PC title and little to no one will buy the console title. Results? Console companies will be pissed, but not Microsoft because they will be 'less' pissed since everyone plays on a windows PC for new releases.

OK, i am way late to the party on this one XD. So short backstory, got an Xbox one 2 years after initial release the got the one x day one. Its now 2019, built my first PC a handful of months ago and i love it. This however doesn't change my views on consoles because i think its the best bang for your buck casual experience out there. Anyways, fast forward to Crackdown 3's release. 4k 60 on the one x no problem, a relatively smooth experience. Picked it up on PC fo free because its a play anywhere title and thought id be able to get an even better experience seeing as how i got an overclocked ryzen 2600x and a 2070. Crackdown 3 on PC was a straight CHUG of a game. The optimization was most definitely gimped on PC as i couldn't even achieve 60fps in 2K. So yeah, i can get behind your statement at 12:05. also your channel is dope

Pc quality is a moving target. A console falls behind that target as soon as the consoles technical details are locked in, and this happens long before the console is released to the public. Consoles will never and can never be on par with a high end pc.

According to my benchmarking, the Xbox one x is inbetween a 1050ti and a 1060 in terms of power, so it's a mid end card. I haven't tested cpus, but I'm gonna go ahead and say maybe it's on par with a mid end i5.

Thats exactly what ive been trying to say. They have a native 4k option but it only runs 30fps and a performance mode that dials back settings to reach 60fps. Also funny af its not "native 4k" its dynamic 4k. Its like the budlight. Its close but not the real thing. It basically takes a small vicinity and runs native 4k around you but out side of that vicinity it actually renders close to 1440p but upscales it to 4k to blend it in. And even then the frames still drop😂😂😂😂
It's just like a PC in the way it has very little interesting exclusive gaming content but differs from a PC because it's poor build quality means it's unlikely to function past the expiry of it's warranty.
I don’t think the first Tomb Raider (reboot) was an Xbox One exclusive. Well maybe the original reboot was but the Definitive Edition came to PS4 and actually ran at 60fps (most of the time) where the Xbox One was a locked 30fps.
Tomb Raider Legends (the original reboot) was Xbox 360, PS3, PC. Tomb Raider (the second reboot) was Xbox One, PS3, Wii?, PC (maybe not Wii, I'm too lazy to look it up) Then came to PS4 and Xbox x. Tomb Raider Legends did have Xbox 360 exclusive dlc.

Im still using my 4790K with 32gb DDR 3, GTX1080, some SSDs , etc.) and most of its from 6-7 years ago. Running 4K and 60fps on most games maxed with some of the demanding settings turns down a bit, like shadows, HBAO, reflections, etc.) strong but maybe ill upgrade in a year or two. We'll see...

YES, power matters, YES resolution matters. There are MORE factors most people don't consider. Do you NOT agree with me that "God Of War 2018" in 1080P looks "BETTER" than "Mine Craft" in 4K? People forget to mention TEXTURE COMPLEXITY. A more complex texture at 1080P will look better than a less complex texture does at 4K. I can't name 1 game XBox One X has that runs at 4K resolution that looks as good as "God Of War", "Uncharted 4", "Last Of Us Remastered" or "Horizon Zero Dawn" do in 1080P or 1440P or ANY OTHER resolution. Also, the POWER matters when you want to not only have complex textures, but run those high-res, complex textures at HIGH FRAME RATES! Example, my RIG Corsair AIO Cooler, MSI GTX 180TI Gaming X, i7-7700K, MSI Z270 Gaming M7, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 516 SSD This machine will run circles around all current consoles and anything with inferior hardware. "Skyrim SSE", "Fallout 4", "Witcher 3", "Kingdom Come Deliverance", "Resident Evil 7" and "Assassin's Creed Origins" are all played in 4K on my rig, and at HIGHER than 30FPS. However, none of those game's textures look as good as the textures in "God Of War 2018", eventhough my PS4 is only running them at 1080P. well, considering the fact that 2 gtx 960 cards outperform a single 1080ti for about 1/5th the price, I'm actually not impressed. It's hilarious, NVidia was forced to disable SLi for all cards except the best because every test done shows that 2 mid range cards outperform everything else. Also, a 1000 dollar gaming PC is hugely overpriced, so again, not impressed. I can build you a PC from used parts that costs around 500 Euros that outperforms a stock "gaming rig" for 1500 Euros off Amazon. (I don't know the prices for America, can't be too different though.) So I would wager all the money I can scrape together that the average gaming PC will outperform the new version of the xbox. Furthermore, I would also wager that this statement will be true for all future incarnations of this zombie of a gaming platform. Someone at Microsoft call an exorcist already!
I have a GTX-1080 and an Xbox One, and even though I don't have the 1x, I can say for certain the X1 isn't on par with this. I play a lot of games in 4K, max settings and no upscaling. Mileage varies game to game, but around ~60fps, mostly. Dark Souls 3, Sekiroand a lot of other games run at high FRs at 4K with this GPU. It's no small feat. 1X downscales to do this and the framerate is still lower. On top of this, the graphical settings would equate to low / mid low with this console. I looked at that photo comparing X1X to PS4 Pro to PC.. and I'll tell you straight up, on PC with the GTX-1080 @ 4k / max, you can see her pores, nostril hair and veins.. lol Seriously, there's an extreme level of detail that no console can emulate. The "PC" example in that picture is either on 720p / low settings, or it's from a console. Whoever is saying it compares to a GTX-1080 is full of sht. It may not be the ti, but it's the second best Pascal on the market.

The Ps4 pro press conference did not come out with all this un compromised 4k 60. They didn't even big it up they didn't. They just said it had higher resolutions, they were more excited about the HDR.

360 and PS3 helped revitalize the PC gaming market and kick competition into high gear. Now consoles cannot keep up with hardware upgrades and a barrage of software updates.

OK, i am way late to the party on this one XD. So short backstory, got an Xbox one 2 years after initial release the got the one x day one. Its now 2019, built my first PC a handful of months ago and i love it. This however doesn't change my views on consoles because i think its the best bang for your buck casual experience out there. Anyways, fast forward to Crackdown 3's release. 4k 60 on the one x no problem, a relatively smooth experience. Picked it up on PC fo free because its a play anywhere title and thought id be able to get an even better experience seeing as how i got an overclocked ryzen 2600x and a 2070. Crackdown 3 on PC was a straight CHUG of a game. The optimization was most definitely gimped on PC as i couldn't even achieve 60fps in 2K. So yeah, i can get behind your statement at 12:05. also your channel is dope

ICP may have been higher on charts and gotten multiple platinum albums if all the people that stole their albums out of the stores, pirated albums and songs, etc. had bought them instead.

Pc quality is a moving target.
A console falls behind that target as soon as the consoles technical details are locked in, and this happens long before the console is released to the public.
Consoles will never and can never be on par with a high end pc.
"PC quality graphics" reminds me of "Military Grade". It doesn't mean shit. The military doesn't use tempered glass screen protectors, and the onex isn't running an 8 core CPU with two titans.

According to my benchmarking, the Xbox one x is inbetween a 1050ti and a 1060 in terms of power, so it's a mid end card. I haven't tested cpus, but I'm gonna go ahead and say maybe it's on par with a mid end i5.

Thats exactly what ive been trying to say. They have a native 4k option but it only runs 30fps and a performance mode that dials back settings to reach 60fps. Also funny af its not "native 4k" its dynamic 4k. Its like the budlight. Its close but not the real thing. It basically takes a small vicinity and runs native 4k around you but out side of that vicinity it actually renders close to 1440p but upscales it to 4k to blend it in. And even then the frames still drop😂😂😂😂

I don’t think the first Tomb Raider (reboot) was an Xbox One exclusive. Well maybe the original reboot was but the Definitive Edition came to PS4 and actually ran at 60fps (most of the time) where the Xbox One was a locked 30fps.

What all consoles should do is allow for replacement of the gpu and maybe the cpu. Then charge people 500 bucks to upgrade to the next gen specs. At the very least they can focus on solely the upgrade hardware/software and save on everything else.

Im still using my 4790K with 32gb DDR 3, GTX1080, some SSDs , etc.) and most of its from 6-7 years ago. Running 4K and 60fps on most games maxed with some of the demanding settings turns down a bit, like shadows, HBAO, reflections, etc.) strong but maybe ill upgrade in a year or two. We'll see...

well, considering the fact that 2 gtx 960 cards outperform a single 1080ti for about 1/5th the price, I'm actually not impressed. It's hilarious, NVidia was forced to disable SLi for all cards except the best because every test done shows that 2 mid range cards outperform everything else.
Also, a 1000 dollar gaming PC is hugely overpriced, so again, not impressed. I can build you a PC from used parts that costs around 500 Euros that outperforms a stock "gaming rig" for 1500 Euros off Amazon. (I don't know the prices for America, can't be too different though.)
So I would wager all the money I can scrape together that the average gaming PC will outperform the new version of the xbox. Furthermore, I would also wager that this statement will be true for all future incarnations of this zombie of a gaming platform. Someone at Microsoft call an exorcist already!

I have a GTX-1080 and an Xbox One, and even though I don't have the 1x, I can say for certain the X1 isn't on par with this. I play a lot of games in 4K, max settings and no upscaling. Mileage varies game to game, but around ~60fps, mostly. Dark Souls 3, Sekiroand a lot of other games run at high FRs at 4K with this GPU. It's no small feat. 1X downscales to do this and the framerate is still lower. On top of this, the graphical settings would equate to low / mid low with this console. I looked at that photo comparing X1X to PS4 Pro to PC.. and I'll tell you straight up, on PC with the GTX-1080 @ 4k / max, you can see her pores, nostril hair and veins.. lol Seriously, there's an extreme level of detail that no console can emulate. The "PC" example in that picture is either on 720p / low settings, or it's from a console. Whoever is saying it compares to a GTX-1080 is full of sht. It may not be the ti, but it's the second best Pascal on the market.

I ran 4K 60fps on medium with vehicle details maxed on forza horizon 3 with a 1070, so saying 4K 60 on forza 7 needs a 1080 is a huge stretch
