I've owned 4 yoda pick up's. An 89, 94, 96 and i currently have a 95. They are phenomenal 4x4 rigs even without being SAS or locked. The 96 has the 3.4L engine which is far superior. That is a awesome area you're in . Maybe just get some 33" mudders and air down. You'll spin less. Beautiful rig and great job filming.
Yeah, I think that the 96 did have a good 3.4. I have like 206k on it and never pulled the heads. The locked axle is nice, I originally only planned for limited slip in both front and back, but the complete rear-locked axle just dropped in my lap for $380. It came out of a 2000 Pre-Runner. Thanks for watching.
Looks like you got through that sloppy mud without issue, nice! Great video & informative too! I'm planning to install a rear locker & front LSD on my Jeep. Which ones did you install on your Tacoma? Thank you!
The rear is the stock Toyota E-Locker, from a junkyard 2000 truck. The front is a Eaton TrueTrack, the locker is great for uneven hard terrain and the LSD is great help in the sand and mud.
@a.anderson8850 I still roll up to my mom's in Big Bear Lake, maybe we can meet up... I used to live in San Bernardino back in the 90s... The Rialto pick-a-part junkyards were my second home hahaha. You don't need a 4x4 to have a good time. I spent most of my years in the off-road running 2x4s. Just bring a good jack, rope, and a come-a-long hahaha, or a buddy with a 4x4. About 90% of my off road driving I do today is in 2x4. Experience makes up for quite a bit of equipment.
Heck ya! Your rig does phenomenal so refreshing to see a realistic build without all the bling rims and armor.
@mattlt154 what do you mean no bling, I used a Name Brand rattle can to paint those stock rims semi-shiny black hahaha

Nice I have same truck only mine is 2002 so it has the facelift
Yeah, pretty much the same truck. My rear locking axle came out of a 2000 prerunner
@@Ludeks_Adventures yeh I also have a diff lock
I feel like some mud tires would make a huge difference on this trail at least if it’s wet.
Yeah, it would have, but do to the lack of mud regularly and alot of highway miles, I opted in for the AT.

@@Ludeks_Adventures how did you fit it on there. I looked for that very same one but I thought they only made them for the rear
@@Mr.Gettosk8 are referring to the E-locker?
@@Ludeks_Adventures No a front LSD
Front LSD and rear locker
Does the front lsd I installed does it actually lock posi or does it apply power to the wheel with most traction
@josephblackburn4804 watch this video on my channel and read the comments, someone described it well. th-cam.com/video/wts7qimcrqw/w-d-xo.html
What type LSD, Locker and Transfer Case do you have on your Beast?
@pennypackmtb2542 have eaton truetrac and the transfer is all stock with all gearing stock. 4.10 with stock 16" tire size.
What trail is this ?
@bencoutts681 Corte Madera Rd. (Corral Canyon OHV Area)
with a 4 wheeler in the back hahaha
Yeah, it's actually nice having all that ballast in the back.
I like watching you, I wish I could go with you to all of your trips but I live in Rialto. I have a truck but it is not a 4×4, but it is a good truck
