- Dragon fruits are deliciously sweet, fleshy fruits that grow on a tropical, vining cactus plant.
Without proper maintenance, it has the habit of growing in every direction and creating quite a mess of vines.
Therefore, the base of the trellis system needs to be secure in order to control the soil and manure erosion.
Here’s an easy trellis you can make to support growth and maximize your Dragon fruit harvest.

Hello po kuya… good day po… mey tanong po ako… 1) ano po ang size ng bawat kahon ng trellis po ba yan. 2) ilang puno po ng dragon fruit ang mag kasya sa isang kahon ng trellis po na ya. 3) ano po ang laki ng lot area nyo po na yan. 1) Size ng post ay 5"x5"x7'. 2' ang depth sa lupa
2) Spacing ng dragon fruit cuttings ay 20" (500mm). Spacing ng poste ay 3m (10')
3) More than 2 hectares pero isang portion lang ang dragon fruits. The rest ay other fruit bearing trees.
4) Kahit anong variety ng dragon fruit pwede.

Galvanized iron (GI) pipes for the trellis system. But precast concrete for the post para hindi siya mag rust or mabulok agad..
Ilang cuttings po per wood pole ang nakalagay? And hindi po ba mababali ang df kapag umabot na sa itaas at nag bend?
At least 2 cuttings per pole. Pagdating sa taas, yuyuko na ang mga dragon fruits.

No. That's not a good idea. It can burn any plants. You need to use composted manure.

Hi, how are you? My dragon fruit plant is two years but it is not flowering. Could you please advise?
Dragon fruit needs direct sunlight, watering during summer months and animal manure as fertilizer.
Check also the acidity of your soil.

@@gregoriosmith6994 The pipe is originally covered with used cloth or sacks. The heat will be minimum. Once the dragon fruit climbed the pipe, it will be shaded.

@@jayjalocon5800 Hindi ideal na may damo sa base ng dragon fruit kasi ma absorb ng damo ang nutrients from the fertilizer. Pero kung ang intent ninyo is to control soil erosion at hindi ang nutrients ng fertilizer (either synthetic or organic), you can proceed to do so.
