@@captshark2153 that’s my next purchase for my setup, a Bravo throttle with the aircraft specific add ons. I haven’t looked into it since that stuff happened with Honeycomb, hopefully the prices aren’t too ridiculous in the coming year or so, lol
Hahah. My mini throttle on this thing is actually used for brakes. I have T-rudders with no toe brakes, so it's perfect. Then the landing gear handle is for parking brake.
I own it too. With the throttle. The clamps are so big that they intrude when sitting down or getting up from the desk. Also, the nose/base where at the bottom really come into your lap. It would have been nice if they were smaller. But the feel of the yolk is pretty realistic and it seems to be the holding up okay so far.
I really like mine. I wouldn't recommend buying the throttle and regret going for the combo package, better to spend some more money on the Bravo. Must say service is really well as one sensor was giving some problems but all fixed within the guarantee period. The thickness of the desk is a good point to notice before buying.
Returned two yokes back to store as yokes had same problem: midflight the yoke started to act weird, false inputs, no inputs. While the Saitek Hotas had no problems at all. Twice i got full refunded and i wont try it a third time. I read lot of people having the same issue. Maybe was a fault production batch
I fly military sims with all Virpil gear. I also own honeycomb alpha and bravo. I still bought this and can't wait for it to arrive for my PMDG planes. I would like to make people aware that there are QC issues with this TM Yoke. Make sure to do your research to find out the defects. There are people out there who figured out ways to fix it without having to send it back to TM.
Can you share your mike set up? I'm trying to go with external speakers, like you have and a stand mike...I'd like to use yoke button for ptt. Thanks for the review on the yoke...I love mine...almost like the real thing.
I use the blue yeti and when I’m flying online I’ll put it between the yoke and keyboard on the left side so that it’s close enough to pick up the audio. It works pretty well, but I think I had to boost the audio a bit in vpilot
I’m really good at flight simulator and love it but I play on controller and want to take it seriously and have a setup, so should I get the honeycomb yoke and honeycomb throttle or the Boeing tca yoke Nd throttle if I mainly fly only airliners both airbus and Boeing equally?
I had problems with mine. The right stick have stick drift and I need to map the two lower axis to control the sensitivity if I move one just a little bit up the camera start to drift up the same down I don't know how to fix it
I had same issue, I fixed it by disconnecting the lover thrust axes, I don´t need them. To do this, you have to open the bottom of the yoke taking 6 screws off, you should see the connecting pin, there is an hotglue on top of it, it comes off easily. Pull the wire carefully out of pin and you are done.
Is there any way to configure the right hat switch for stabilizer trim???? I couldn't find an option for that on Xplane and I think Thrust Master made a big mistake not providing the yoke with stab trim switches for anyone who wants to fly with the right hand. I would appreciate a solution for this. Thank you
That’s a good point. I think the best you can do is use one of the two-way switches on the right and say that pushing it right is up and left is down, or whichever makes more sense to you. Not great, but better than nothing.
@@FlightSimSchoolyeah.... That's what i have done for now.... I would like the right hat switch as a trim.... The problem is it doesn't have a neutral point between the up and down commands for configuration. I thought maybe there's a more advanced solution for this issue... Thank you
Nah, I would stick with the Alpha. I'd only consider upgrading if you have issues with your Alpha, especially considering how Honeycomb are going right now with support...
@@FlightSimSchool what about the knobs 🎛️ for the quadrant throttle? Did you find strange way of functioning?? For example moving slowly the knob is turning faster and vice versa
Ahhh, sorry, I misunderstood. I didn't get the throttle quadrant, but I imagine it's the same thing as with the honeycomb, it's normal that turning it slowly it'll accelerate quicker. It's to allow you to make a big change in heading faster.
@@FlightSimSchool I haven't added the second springs as the resistence to me seems good enough. The moving of the yoke is cumbersome at best. To that I am just working around it with my wireless keyboard.
@@bourne-jagt1716 When I first added the second spring, it felt a lot stiffer and I wasn’t sure if I liked it, but you get used to it and I think it would feel too light if I took it off now.
For the 737, I run straight linear. For the 777, I got these things watching Blackbox711 and I find them pretty good : - L-Axis-X: -25 for both Sensitivities - L-Axis-Y: -14 for both Sensitivities
Funny it’s actually better quality than the honeycomb also in feel, I have both. Biggest positive is thrustmaster is not bankrupt, honeycomb is it just screwed its self. This thrustmaster yoke and the honeycomb bravo throttle with mods is the way to go if you like airliners.
i can never use this yoke though because i have to do weird stuff to make it work ..its so annoying i have no idea how to make it work for all my planes...
@@FlightSimSchool like for example my yoke only work normal if I start the flight from the runway ….it turns when I turn the yoke , but if I start the plane at the gate from cold and set the plane up manually I can’t turn the plane when I use my yoke
If you want to use it to turn the plane on the ground (and you don’t have rudder pedals or a joystick with a twist action), you’ll need to turn auto-rudder on in the settings, and it should work. You could also bind the right hat switch to move the rudder axis as well which should work too. I hope that helps!
Flight sim and F1... Such a man of culture!
Was wondering if anyone would notice that ;)
The yoke has been fantastic for me over the last 3 years. The throttle quadrant is the weak link...
I concur! Also I have never used my throttle, instead I use the Bravo throttle with Prodesksim addons.

@@TravisPrybylski Awesome! My only issue is the lead time is about 8 weeks on ProDeskSim addons. It can be frustrating but it's worth it. 🙂

Agreed, I do wonder if they’ll eventually create a version 2 that is a bit smaller.

I get what you’re saying since I love my bravo, but considering honeycomb’s track record of late I found it hard to recommend that path.
The TCA quadrant Boeing edition is not so good also, the knobs doesn't work properly 😕 such a disappointment

Nice Video, what rudder pedals are compatible with this set?.
You can connect Thrustmaster pedals directly to it, but you can use any rudder pedals with USB and plug them directly to the computer instead
@@FlightSimSchool Ty, I have xbox series x. So I can use the yoke and plug any rudder pedals I like directly into my xbox instead of the yoke?.
Ah, Xbox is a bit different. You'll want to check what's compatible for that as I'm not sure.

Hi great video man, I'm ordering the tape right after this! Also thats the ender desk mount for the honeyccomb throttle ?
It’s actually a small coffee table that I mounted the Bravo onto, like that I can slide it out and away if I need more space very easily.
