      Don’t worry, if it’s too dark you can press hard with the palest colours over the top to blend. That’s the joy of oils, and it creates a wonderful subtle smudge effect.

      Those are oil pastels, you can blend them easily (at least the good quality ones)

    I love how you used all the base colours first and then worked from there, I’ve been doing things wrong for the whole time, you also understand lighting very well and ARE SO CONFIDENT IN USING DARK COLOURS u smart girl

    When i was in primary School, the only colouring medium i use was oil pastel.....

    I drew oil pastels on watercolor paper. It took a lot of time to fill the paper surface with oil pastels. If I watched your video first, I wouldn't have to waste a lot of time. Good~!!! 👍

    Using paint thinner to blend colours. Wow. You learn something new everyday. Coming to the art. I would say its pure ASMR. Loved the painting. Loved how you did it. 😍

      Yash Anand Finger blending works just as well but it can give the piece a different texture! Using thinner is a stylistic choice. Pastels are very versatile!

      @@queenrichso You can use oil paint thinners, like what you find in the art stores. Gamsol, or linseed oil. But an alternative would be baby oil. :)

      @@lilygomez9993 I just want to warn you though, baby oil isn't the most ideal. Using too much can leave your paper super oily and smelling like a baby lol Using too little, it won't blend out. It does work, but I still recommend using art grade mediums for blending oil pastels. :)
