  • I'm going to give you 10 top tips and you get to see the results too. I'll cover both film photography, digital and using your mobile phone to do infrared. Basically you can use any camera you wish! mostly!
    So this video is for everyone who wishes to discover a new type of photography regardless of their expertise or even what kind of camera you have.
    Infrared photography captures light beyond what the human eye can see. It can transform an ordinary scene into surreal landscapes filled with ethereal beauty. To help you master the art of infrared photography, I've compiled ten top tips which you get you on your way to create stunning infrared images - well I hope.
    It's super easy and costs very little but the results will amaze you. So let's get started.
    Development recipe
    Rodinal 1:50, 12-13mins, first 30 seconds agitate and then every 30 seconds gentle inversion. Develop at 20 ºC degree. Wash between developer and fixer. Fix for 4 mins and 1 mins wetting agent. Wash for 10 mins and then hang to dry over night.

    Great video and fantastic tips, I use my Fujica Fuji GW690 65mm, it works great since no need to take the filter to compose the photo. Only one tip using a range finder, Don't forget to take the lens cap. Thank you for the video, sample photos and tips...

    Good tips here Gavin, never realized I can use my phone to preview, will definitely try that.
    You should give that blue boxed Argenta paper (0:01) a try in lith! I've done liths with Superbrom RC paper, short exposure time and it develops pretty quickly (3mins at 30C). The color is like no other paper!

      Thanks Sebastian for the tip, I've tried it with Lith'ing with the Argenta gavinlyons.photography/lith-argenta-paper/ kind of creamy results. I've some Neobrom boxes 30x40 which are incredibly beautiful to Lith at some point I'll get my finger out and make a video on them - gavinlyons.photography/neobrom/

      The Superbrom gives almost copper-red results in my process, really beautiful!
