This mod is based on "Перестройка преселектора р/ст Quansheng UV-K5 на Satcom" radiokot forum mod. With some improvements like low noise transistors and high Q coil. Please google it and insert link below video because i cant post it in comments.
That "black chip" is zero Ohm resistor. Essentially you can put jumper instead of it. Signal goes through the coil, through that ZERO Ohm resistor and further. Yes, everything correct. Someone done a satcom mod and knock those parts out, so I measured, that's why I know their values.

Your radio is designed to transmit on 2 meter and 70 centimeter bands, anything outside is not guaranteed. You have two filters inside, VHF and UHF, so 85 Mhz transmit falls outside filters. No matter the firmware you use, your hardware is not designed to transmit on 85 Mhz. However, I was able to transmit on 100 Mhz WFM and receive on regular car radio, I've used r3b0rn by fagci. But again, that's not practical, TX power will be low and you'd have bunch of harmonics.
Hi friend! you mentioned this is not a satcom mod, but you do mention it improves reception on satcom frequencies. what do I need to add to this mod, so it will do proper rx and tx on satcom? thanks!

According to datasheet they are the same thing. Why are you searching names and stuff, I gave you link. You can also get them from mouser, farnell, digikey and the like. I'm pretty sure also amazon and eBay. Ali of course. For me ali is best, because it's cheaper.

Is it for SATCOM only? Any benefits for 2m?
This mod is tops from 140 all the way up to 302 MHz!! See response chart in the description, measurement is between antenna connector and transistor.
