Having grown up in New England, and living in MA, RI, ME and NH, it would be graet to include captions as to the stations as well as any other noteworthy locations. Just an FYI...............
As an additional note, for those that have never taken this train, perhaps a brief review of the amenities would also help "sell" the DownEaster Service
Don't mean tp be crass, but I'm a real railfan due to my experience in "combat". Former "Air Commando"; almost got shot down while riding in an Air Force tactical aircraft in Vietnam.
Finally a video of my hometown...luv it. I've taking the trip many times...nice train ride.
Love the Downeaster!
Well done! I love that Route
Great route
I've rode ever overnight train in Amtrak's inventory except the New Orleans and Crescent.
I am wondering if it ever went to New Brunswick Canada via Houlton ME
Is that the Green Line extension on the left? (Towards start of video)
yes
Is the Downeaster line run by Amtrak because I saw when we borded the train that there was Amtrak cars.
yes
All video stemmed to come from west view of the train? No east facing shots? Might’ve seen some ocean views…
Not many scheduled stops showed or announced?
I have a question and this is bug me and that is how did the down Easter for the Orange line before and it’s still went to woburn
Has the train always had to back in and out of Portland to get to Brunswick?
Yes and when I ride with my grandma she doesn’t like sitting in reverse so she always has to figure out which seat to sit in
Train has two engines..one in the front..one in the rear
When I've taken it in the past it's always had two engines

This is a nice side view video as 99% of us viewers wanted. We don't want anything else or more, this is a great video as it is

I know i am old (1952) but why don't people dress nice to travel anymore???
On airplanes, at least, the reason must be comfort since the seats have gotten closer together, not as much personal space.
Because it’s not a fashion show, it’s just dressing how you like to dress.
i know, right? people started dressing down in the early 60's ,,,for comfort i presume.
@@bobwyman3743 There is no luxury in downeaster
What the hell is the point in dressing for a 3 hour train ride
As an 18 year old, I love to see people dressed up to travel too. I love to watch older game shoes and I see people are always dressed so nicely.
