I'm in Australia and received my Mafex JL Flash this week from Japan - and yes, the left shoulder / arm on mine is ALSO slightly loose, it is the only problem I found & noticeable. While not a real nightmare, taking into consideration the brilliant execution of this figure, but over time mine could get looser. ALSO - wanted to thank you for all the work you put into your reviews - you hit ALL the important notes in your reviews - articulation, sculpt, paint, likeness to actors, especially ANY PROBLEMS & your video quality is top notch (lighting, focus breath of shot etc) - in my books you're up there with other great reviewers such as Daredevil19, Shartimus, Fwoosh, JayC, Victorias Cantina, Boog_ACBA, KenOhwee. Your vids are my GO TO source for reviews when considering buying a figure - I salute you SIR !
QC and loose joints will always be the downfall of Mafex. And with their new price hike, it's become even more infuriating. How are u gonna double the price of your figures and still have noticeable QC and loose joints issues?
Fondest Coast so far I've seen three reviews where the Mafex version turned out issue free. I just ordered the mafex one due to the accuracy in detail. I'll probably just put him in one pose and leave him in it.
Hansel Roman that’s the problem. They aren’t statues, they have all that articulation for a reason, and if it isn’t going to hold up then? Very frustrating because they look pretty good
Waaait, Mafex figure that has shoulder pads attached to the arm, and not the torso? That is incredible! I wish they started using this design for the Star Wars troopers. I really liked the death trooper, but the shoulder pads being attached to the torso is a major flaw for me, as this will eventually lead to the plastic strip thats holding it just giving up, and its simply a bad design. Not to mention it doesnt sit flush with the arm.
mafex definitely improved their sculpt work this year but the quality is still not consistent and the price is still so high. shf are still doing good but the paint details and lack of included accessories are getting a bit irritating. mezco is not at the same realm as it only churns out very few figures compared to shf. and personally mezco is still not quite there yet for me with those ridiculous proportions. and i have personally owned a few from all lines.
I'm genuinely confused has to how people think the SHF version is over priced compared to the Mafex one. So long as you get the Bluefin release, Flash is standard SHF price, $60. So you're paying $90 for Mafex, vs $60 for SHF. What extra do you get for that added $30? Two more pairs of hands and an Ezra Miller head sculpt. Is that really worth the extra $30? Plus you have to gamble whether or not you'll have QC issues with you Mafex Flash.
My thoughts exactly. I think the Mafex figures look much better, honestly, but the Figuarts are $30 cheaper. It's almost like comparing S.H. Figuarts and Marvel Legends at that point.
I'm really looking forward to the Mezco Justice League set coming out. Hoping it's going to be as awesome as the promotional photos. Not sure why Mafex always seems to have such light coloration on the faces and hands of some of their figures. Kinda turns my off. But that's just me. Another great review D! Peace y'all! 😎🤙💯
i think the arm is just after you popped it out you didn't put it back until you feel that click. you can see in the video the arm that popped off is longer than the other.

2:16 ..... In 2 years from now will it be much worse? That is what makes me hesitant with going all in on their Justice League line. I’m definitely getting their Batman and 3.0 WW over Shf but damn.

The extra head sculpt and better paint is worth the money. SHF is not getting all the detail that mafex is getting. And the shiny heads. No.....
