SHF one gets 4/10 cause they really didnt capture all of the things that the flash's suit does like the shoulders and all of the breaking things. meanwhile Mafex got the shoulders moving fantastically the upper armor of it moves up and down but dont go it straight. 10/10 and they also captured some major detail and some very nice shading and a very nice polish!
Mafex is asking for twice the price on a figure that is just marginally better painted, and also scales poorly with others of similar scale. Some like to defend Mafex because of the extra accessories, but you're essentially buying a 50 dollar figure and 40 bucks on maybe 15 USD of accessories. Plus SHF doesn't come out of the box with broken joints
Nice review bruh...but IMO Mafex is definitely killing it with damn near all the JL members...it's the changing of the guard...SHF dropped the ball and is falling further behind Mafex.
except they are raising prices like no tomorrow. prices from $40 to $50 are now pushing $80. That is a lot to raise prices by and hopefully they don't start costing $100 cause that is where i draw the line. No matter how good 1 figure is, i will rarely if EVER drop $100 for 1 figure
KingofDragons5000 - yeah that usually happens when the quality goes up on a figure...and they are offering more accessories on the Mafex side of the house...I don't mind paying 80 for a great Mafex with tons of articulation but that 100 is stiff...hopefully they don't get that far up there. While Mezcos are just ridiculous if you don't preorder...and less articulation but a ton of accessories. It's up to us as collectors to weight out our options and pick what's important to us.

Only problem is their QC and price point. However it would seem that they are improving on their QC with every release. Sh figuarts had better start stepping it up, before they get wiped out.
i already placed the order on the MAFEX Flash. compare with movie stills, Mafex is definitely more accurate and more proportional. ezra miller is also pale as heck, so that's accurate too. lol. overall quality wise, i would still prefer Bandai products because Bandai has always been more consistant, but with the lack of accuracy in the sculpt and paint it is really disappointing. And Medicom has turn themselves around for the better with the latest from the JL movies.
I think ima get this one over the Mafex but when u showed the Mafex side by side I was blown away it’s better in every way smh but it’s so expensive now
The Mafex version is better when it comes to detail and accuracy, only real issue is if u get a bad one and the arm keeps falling off. But if u get a good one, it handedly trumps the Sh figuarts version.

i actually think the shf is scaled more like a human. mafex are scaled more like comicbook superheroes with very slim waist and long legs. both work great but i like the look of shf because i go more for the realistic look.
Mafex starts doing hinged shoulder pads and SHF jumps to tucking. I'm really torn, I like the size and ankles on SHF more but the detail and accessories with Mafex are awesome.
graefx yeah, plus mafex is more expensive and still have that horrible QC issues, it's really hard to make a choice when we have a tie. For me for example is more important the quality so QC issues makes me push back on mafex.

I have this figure and I live it but I have a problem with the hip joint on the left leg, it's really tight and it's so stiff I'm scared ill break it if I force it too much, it can move its just really stiff, any advice
