Truly fascinating listening to Dee tell his story. I met Dee back in 2015 when I was in rehab in koh samui where he was a Councillor, we used to go on exercise walks through the jungle which i absolutely hated and we argued constantly lol when I was 90 days clean i eventually left the rehab and went on a mad five day relapse it was Dee that found me and took me back to rehab for help. I eventually ended up working with Dee in that rehab and we spent many nights out for meals and chatting about our past lives. Top guy, I'm glad he's back safe in the UK 🙏
It was also fascinating that he didn't talk about the families lives that he destroyed in Lamai when he stole their money which is the real reason why he made a quick exit to Pattaya.
@mal big Because it was funny how we used to argue about going walking as i absolutely hated it but now i love walking, I guess you had to be there. Dee would understand 🤟
@Richard Walsh he's hardly going to go into minute detail about every single thing he did wrong during active addiction the pod cast is only so long. I'm sure he he feels bad enough about it all tbh. I'm not excusing any of it I'm just saying he has to live with anything he's done and I'm just glad he's back on the straight and narrow now. 🙏
@@richardwalsh4472 he may not divulge all the truth , I don't know his story, but telling even a watered down version of it may do some good. The story clearly illustrates dangers involved in the lifestyle and unfortunately people do things they would never do when straight headed. The people hurt along the way are a terrible effect of addiction but even if his story motivates one person to stop or one person to never take drugs it is beneficial.
I just listened to your podcast but i had tocome here and comment because this man, who has lived trough hell, of course I know out of his own “stupidity”, ( i am not saying it to insult, i have made similar mistakes in My life i have just been lucky i didn’t have to pay in such a heavy way. I have just had psychological issues, loosing jobs issues things like this. No prison, no prison abroad, no violence. Not this level of trauma) has got such an amazing energy. I enjoyed listening to him so much because he really comes across as a warm and a good hearted person. Yes, he has hurt people who loved him, but an addict doesn’t mean to hurt his loved ones. But at the lowest you really don’t have control. The substance controls you ! Something must click in the brain in order to change your life around and then make amend to your love ones. He said that in his youth he had some foster “care” experience. So many of us have unresolved issues we don’t even know consciously about it and we feel that life is so unbearable that in order to have fun and feel happy we start taking substances which at first make us feel wonderful. They soon become a nightmare. I really hope he is going to be successful from now onward and that he’ll be able to help thanks to all he has gone through. He had to learn the hard way. Anyhow really warm.
I enjoyed this so much. I currently live in Thailand and run a Thailand based TH-cam channel.I have heard many Thai prison accounts but enjoyed this one the most. Not Overly dramatized nor sanitized either. Thank you
What a pulsating and emotional story Dee has. I am a regular visitor to Thailand and well aware of the seriousness of even being in the same room as someone taking drugs nevermind participating. Ive read books on the Bangkok Hilton but this interview really shook me. Scarey. Im amazed he seems so upbeat I dont think I could of handled that environment. Fair play to him.
I know I might of said this before but this definitely is one of the best interviews. Dee's explanation was top class and I'm glad your home bro👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿.
Wow.. I feel traumatised just listening to that. The pain is raw. I felt really upset when he told the story of Mario dying..Dee may you be blessed and happy in your New flat and have a long and happy life with your friends and family.
Dee talks in such an engaging way, he needs a book, do the audio himself, will be a winner, time flies when you listen to Dee. you get wrapped right up in his stories. Except for his jibby stuff!
Thanks for this wonderful talk, had planed for an early night but got stuck listening, absolutely WONDERFUL,enjoyed every second, and my early bedtime went out the window, but it was worth it. And just let me wish your guest ALL THE BEST FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE, I know it's going to take a long time to get over the night mares and all the rest he has been through, but if he has come this far and survived the rest will be if not easy but he will make it. As long as he has his own flat and a kye to lock HIS DOOR and can decide who can come in, no money in the world can buy that. So once again I wish him all the best, and a big Hugh all the way from Sweden. And to you Sean keep up the good work, I just LOVE everything you do,am a big fan, though I don't like the term "fan" but I really LIKE YOUR WORK. THIS COMING FROM AN OLD WOMAN, WHO JUST WISHES THERE WERE MORE CHANELS AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU OUT THERE IN THIS F....D UP WORLD, CAUSE TODAYS WORLD IS NOT!!!!! WHAT I FAUGHT FOR IN MY YOUNGER YEARS
