A masterful performance by Hua Hua. I think you should have started at an earlier point in the video, because he talked a little bit about the song. He always wanted to sing it, but never dared. He said he would probably only sing that song once in his life. He wanted only a still camera to record him and sing the song to a specific person and directly to the camera.
Thanks Fil, for such a wonderful reaction to this truly intimate performance from Hua Hua. He actually designed the performance to have only the piano and one camera focused on him the entire time (normally, there are multiple cameras and cut- a-ways during a performance). He said that he wanted to sing this song to a particular person, and he hopes she would see it. Before the performance, he had to prepare himself emotionally to sing this song...and performed he did, so immersed in the emotions, you saw it with every gesture and movement of his face. First time I saw this, I was in tears. What an incredible artist, and I love him for being so open and vulnerable, letting us see into his heart. And a big thank you to @alinaperisoara1 for requesting this performance. 💗💗💗💗
So on point as usual. Yes it's almost like invading his private thoughts. How one can perform this song in perfection with the camera so close is truly amazing.

this performance is simply devastating. He almost never does a love song, and this one is a doozy. He didn't compose this one, Eason Chan did, I think. His willingness to stand close to the camera, stare into it, and be completely vulnerable is astonishing. Few people could or would do that. The first time he performed it, and the last, all anyone wrote in the comments was about him making the person cry. I was one of those people. It still affects me deeply to this day. Your appreciation was on a par with the rest of us. Thank you for doing this. I don't know who requested this, but I expect they will turn up.

Im not particularily fond of love songs in general, but this hits me. Ive watched the original, and ofcourse its because of HCY and the very personal imtimate way he delivered it. The HCY magic.

This is such a simple but beautiful song but it's very simplicity also makes it difficult to sing well I think.
The way that Hua lives his songs almost like a method actor makes it so personal you feel like he is singing it directly to you.
I admit it broke me the first time that I heard it, watching the pain in his eyes blinking away the tears.
When he starts to belt you get a real idea of the power he has in his voice, but he pulls it back not letting vocal gymnastics overshadow the song it's self, and using pauses so well, something that many artists seem to forget.

one of my MOST favorite songs of Hua......he is such a great artist who doesn't sing about the story, but he is living the story, he is the song itself. The only other artist I have ever do this is DQ. I so wish the two of them would sing a song together! That would be sublime!
