There are many talented singers in China, and what makes Hua Chenyu incredibly remarkable is his ability to tell stories through his voice. Hua Hua's vulnerability was palpable...You could feel his pain. He shared his heart and broke ours. Every time I see this performance, it brings me to tears. He can sing pretty much anything, this was so different from "Nunchucks". He is such an incredible artist, composer and singer. Thank you for your reaction.

I think the power of this song/story was in the intimate one close camera, I felt like here was I guy sharing his story in song form, about how even he, even though he is hamsome and talented and intelligent, has a brake-up story, and it hurts, and the listener is not alone in these aching, hurting feeling, that it's going to happen, that it is part of life, but you can learn from it and find positivity out of it 😢 🥲
This guy is an amazing artist!! So creative ansd genuine! Many winderful performanced on this sSinger show! He cnsiders his voice is an instrument and pushes many boundaries I would recommend Nunchucks as a great perglformance to react to nexr!
Hua Hua is not afraid of Silence and long pauses. He draws you in with the pauses, to feel his emotions. He is much happier now. It feels as if he NEEDED to get that song and those emotions out. Think we ALL felt guilty about watch him pour his heart out. Yes, it was Zhou Shen. Hua Hua won the 2020 Season of "Singer" with some truly amazing performances.
Maybe try Hua Chenyu doing a more recent performance. He is so much more at ease with himself. Try "Here we are" or "Illusion & Reality" or "Airplane Mode".

Hua Chenyu is a true artist. The way he can express emotions with his voice and his performances is amazing. You have to watch at least 3 or 4 different performances to really get an idea of Hua Chenyu's versatility and artistry. You should definitely check out his cover version of "Fake Monk". His rendition of "Dad, I'm home" is probably one of his saddest performances, but absolutely incredible. Together with Zhou Shen, Hua Hua is my favorite artist from China.

I always feel that when he says "I feel happy" it's almost like he is trying to convince himself that they are better off apart, sometimes you know that it is the better thing, even though you might not have chosen it for yourself. It's such a delicate and understated performance which shows a side of Hua's talent that we rarely get to see. 🌺🌺
Everytime I hear this song I cry. Hua Hua does such a wonderful job and he is also a very good actor. Yes that was Zhou Shen . Hua Hua was on the Singer in 2018 he came in second Jesse J won that year the first Non Chinese to win. ( they changed the rules the year after Dimash should have won but he wasn’t Chinese and the rule was only Chinese can win) Hua Hua went back in 2020 one won that time.😊😊

In answer to two questions you had, yes that was Zhou Shen. He was also on the Singer this season. Actually, Hua Chenyu has many, many nicknames, some given by his fans to describing different aspects of his characters and music. The nickname, Hua Hua although similar in sound and spelled the same in English, has a different meaning than the Hua character in Hua Chenyu. This nickname actually translates as flower (or if you want to be specific flower flower), and as you become more familiar with him, you will see the flower motif often appearing, for example, in his costumes, on posters for his concerts, in his gifs and so on.

The H in Hua is not silent and is more accurately pronounced as Hoo-ah or Who-ah said quickly.
