Many people who were bullied tend to get attracted to combat sports. It's a common theme, because by becoming more knowledgeable about defending yourself can easily overcome size and strength differences. In fact, one of the most dominant (but also incredibly kind and polite) champions in MMA, GSP, also first entered the sport because he was bullied. Often, you are not what life determines you to be, you are what you choose to do in spite of it.
Same I was bullied in primary and secondary, in primary school my classmates purposely put my worksheet deep into the cupboard, to get me scolded by mg Cher so they can see me get upset. Then at the end of the year, they finally found my worksheets I bought it for nothing.
YEAH!!!! You go, kids! Max and Daryllyn! Daryllyn, ignore those who bully you. Don't react to them. Channel it into your muay thai, and when you become a muay thai champion, they will finally know the real you and feel ashamed of themselves. Just train hard, do your best, and however far you go, however much you achieve, we're all so proud of you. It's not easy to be a sporting champion. It takes a lot of personal sacrifice. Don't get sidetracked. You can do it. And Max, you don't need to become world champion to be proud of yourself. Be proud of yourself now. All the effort, time and sacrifice that you've put in so far......getting 2nd in your age category and 10th overall.....all that is already something to be proud of. And I'm sure whoever watched this, whoever knows about your story, is also already proud of you. You are amazing.
Got bullied alot when I was younger. The only way to channel that immerse amount of anger & hatred for me was the hit the gym. Never let bullies get in the way, protect those who can't defend for themselves. Go Daryllyn & Max, the world is your stage now. All the best!
Was kinda bullied all the way even till army. The moment you are skinny, scrawny, quiet you are a target to most bullies. Joined a Judo club thinking i would become a badass, i got humbled, slowly build up confidence, eventually find the most enjoyable part of Judo is the love for Judo itself and my training partners. As i grow and mature along the years, i realise i'm still the quiet person i use to be, just maybe more calm and confident than before... have forgotten about "taking revenge or wanna be some bad ass that can beat any assailant". Infact... the one thing that martial arts have taught me was, despite all the skills you have learnt, it is so easy for anyone to actually knock you out despite all the training you have been through. Don't ever get into an altercation unless you really need to, you wont know what terrible things might happen if you do.
Spencer is a good coach and I hope daryllyn continues to go against all odds and do well. I also hope she is able to gain more confidence in mixing around with more people to open up. Muay Thai has helped me become very strong mentally. Atb daryllyn, you got this.
I think it's more than teaching her to protect herself. It's helping her gain confidence in herself that bullying can often sap. That, to me, is the true value of learning combat sports. Of course, self protection is a great benefit, but ultimately, that confidence not just in your ability to fight, but just in who you are, knowing that people can say what they want, you know who you are.
I solemnly believe kids are our future we shouldnt put them down or yell at them. We should inspire and guide them to find their purpose and let them learn from their mistakes.
Love this. I wasn't bullied as a kid and am pretty sociable but even so, getting into MMA has still increased my confidence enormously, aside from the other benefits. Wish I'd done it when I was a teenager. Who knows? Rooting for Daryllyn to get to ONE. And who knows? Maybe she'll try to make the jump to MMA and the UFC from there.
🙏🏻 Teach the lassie Wai Khru Ram Muay if you haven't done so already. It's teacher to student gift & the student's reciprocal gift in to her parent & teacher. Also it helps to focus & calm the inner self from any demons from one's past. Shalom Aleichem 🖖🏻
Seeing this young girl train makes Miss Muay Thai so much 😢 because I used to train every day for 2 years, and then I stopped due to laziness, but i feel like it's too late too go back.
Kids, this is why you don't bully ppl, because the next time you see them, they may have ability to kick your ass so hard that you'll start questioning your life choices. How do I know this? I am one such example
@@donniepinns1472 Getting bullied in the past is one of my reasons to take up martial arts. I never got to take revenge on my bullies, but I can probably kick most of their asses today. So my message is don't drive someone to a corner till they decide to fight back.
@@a.t.2119 Cheers mate! I've been through likewise. Martial arts have really changed me all for the better as well. It's not only self-defense but it's helped me build and solidify my overall confidence in every aspect of my life.
Im 11 and I practice MMA and because of my size i have to spar adults ive been doing it for 2 years now and i love mma its one of my favorite things to do
Most Thai kids have at least 20 pro / Amateur fights by the time they are 8 years old. Go join Evolve and fight with the best in Thailand - not in Singapore.
1:02 Billion dollar global insight for movie, anime, real life or thesis - the fringes, hair at the front and sides (sway to the front) may cover the eyes and block the line of sight. This affects accuracy, and delay judgment, attacks or defences. Implement first point, second point, or both points: 1. Cut the hair short at the front. 2. Cut 100% hair off to become bald (reduce weight and max movement speed), turns off some viewers, attracts other viewer types.
You never forgive your bullies, doesn’t matter how many years have past ☝️People say let it go, but they were probably never bullied personally 😤 There is no letting it go, only harness and control the beast within.
She is talented, and should be able to handle bullies. She may be a marvel in Singapore, but she cannot stand in muaythai ring, at international level. Singapore lacks fight opportunity and trainers don't have experience to cope with fight at national level. 11 years old girls fighters from Thailand get to fight at premium muaythai stadiums in Thailand, and international stadiums. Top Thai girl fighters accumulate > 30 fights by the time they are 11.
The Year Of Skull & Bones: MMA Fighter Victoria Lee Dead At 18 Years Old (CAUSE OF DEATH UNKNOWN???) So watch the video on TH-cam and make a much more informed decision.
she is good but not good enough for One FC yet..One FC muay thai tournament got alot of pro fighter who fought brutally, she better gain more experience before going to The One, can join the top muay thai training camp in Thai like Tiger Muay Thai etc for better fight prep
Get her out of there. Her future self has rights. Brain studies show muay thai fighting while still growing lowers the IQ by about 15 points. The difference between 100 points and 85 is a world of options, hope, and experiences taken away, replaced with hardship. I lived in Thailand, the studies were done at Bangkok Hospital.
Ah no. There a study that their fighting at the early age to brain development. Not IQ as even people who make the term can’t even define it. And where did you even get 15 from?
no pressure or yelling from the coaches/parents, just encouragement and/or a shoulder to cry on. Fantastic..

Agreed. It's why I got into fencing. I like Tennis also. Single well aimed ball to the face can be dangerous 😂

On the picture at @13:42 she stands along Stamp and Saemapetch, who are world-class thai pro fighters (signed to 'ONE Championship' promotion).
I hope she makes it! How cool are those kids though... wish I had such supportive parents and coaches etc. growing up.
Sparred with her many times and I can tell you her strikes hurt even for adults

for those who dont know, a muay thai kick is almost same as swinging a baseball bat at you. ouch
The shin bone is hard as hell. And shin on shin really sucks. Even with leg guards I was sore for days after it happens in sparring with my coach.
Yes, the shins of Thai boxers are very strong.
Should tell the young boy to just have fun, he is putting too much pressure on himself. The girl has a killer look in her eyes, hope she succeeds.
Stay strong girl. You have a bright future and many people love you so much.
If she's still in school with those students who bullied her, I wonder how they're going to react after watching this video.

Daryllyn need to get more fighting match to gain the experience. Look at Stamp Fairtex, she started fighting in tournament at a very young age.
I can relate, I was bullied and I don’t take it out, I just use it as fuel for my goals such as business or Muay Thai
It's good that she found a healthy outlet.
I pity the fool who tries to bully Daryllyn now.
Don’t feel bad for those soulless people.
Is this the real life muay thai version of Ippo???? 🤔

She is like the girl Zen from the female muay thai movie Chocolate
Being warrior in the garden. Peaceful but deadly
How much money does a cup stacking coach get? Qualifications for coaching cup stacking?
For the stacking part, I have to put 0.5 speed to understand what is going on.
That's how winning is done.
Come to ONE.
