Remember `we` ALL see colour as to sound, taste and smell differently so adapt and modify to your choice, as YOU are never wrong. For the new to the Art there are transfers , up`s decals. But try painting eyes first upon a figure as I feel this gives character to the figure. However I employ oils, cannot get on with acrylics at all. Thank you young lady. For very small minis, just using a shadow for the area or white with a tiny black dot really works well. I mostly just use the tip of a toothpick for the dot, as my smallest brush couldn't handle it.

Compare it to giant companies with their insensitive customer service and low regards of their base and the stark contrast gonna shine on your minis!!

I paint the entire eye off-white then I apply a dot of whatever color the iris will be. I take a needle and push in an indentation where the pupil would be and apply a thin black wash. The wash sinks into the pinhole darkening it.
I never understood why people paint the eyes last. They are such an important part of the figure, I always paint them first. Then I work out from there.

When painting small minis, I rarely ever paint eyes. Most often they're so small that I just put some darker shadow beneath the brow.
