    hi, good questions. A 12 inch buffers are convenient but like you said it would take a much longer time. I used to use an Oreck that was 13 inches on the floors in this video I just noticed time took longer and some of the higher traffic areas took longer as well because the smaller rotary is a light machine. The Oreck burned out after a year and a half of commercial use so currently looking for a better small rotary. I heard the hot rod agitator is pretty good but I've never had one. if you're seeing buffing works it could be that the carpets aren't wet enough. You want to make sure that the path covers the whole driver and the pad is very wet as well. hope this helps out let me know.

    Nice video , JacobI recommend purchasing a crb which scrubs very well, especially the black brushes and evenly distributed the dirt / stains so it's no longer visible. Then, the encap takes over from there.
    Crb allows you to be super fast while doing great work , you will be even more competitive while maintaining high margins that other cleaners cannot

    White polishing pads or red pads work really well for me. Then I use a white bonnet pad to dry the carpet. My choice of chemicals are either shampoo, peroxy, tribase, or degreaser. My former supervisor showed me how to do it. For me I prefer that over bonnet cleaning. It's definitely a time saver with a quicker dry time

  • @jscott4613
    @jscott4613 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The best way would be to use a brush pad to break up the dirt and stains,then bonnet pad to pick up the dirt and polish the carpet at the same time,then use high powered vacuum to get any left over crystalized diry

    like your videos identicard professional carpet cleaner for 20 years now only one thing lock your handle and use your floor machine properly going side to side it is much more ergonomic and it's safer or just get a CRB nice results

      Most definitely I've used both and like this one better. I don't use this yellow brush anymore since I got my 10 inch crb I'll use it to make the lines it's great no fatigue and the lines look great.

    What is your residential VLM process on dirty carpets? Do your need to agitate fist or just use the white bonnet to clean and agitate? thanks

    • @CleaningServiceProLLC
      @CleaningServiceProLLC  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean by vlm. but for dirty nasty carpet I pre spray with a high ph solution agitat with a CRB or a rotary with a wight scrub pad. then use an acid rinse I'm my truckmount to steam it out then use encapsulation to brighten up the carpet with another white scrubber pad on the rotary

    • @GeoffreyHowells
      @GeoffreyHowells 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      VLM is a carpet cleaning methodology Very Low Moisture.
      It includes bonnet cleaning, cylindrical brush machine, etc.
      basically encap and scrub using some tool...
      HWE hot water extraction methodology is basically your truckmount
      I combine the two methodologies all the time and call it 'hybrid' carpet cleaning. It works excellent in restoration scenarios.

    avoid leaving pad and machine standing on carpet, lay it down. you will notice next day all the soil transfer marks from soil laden polish pad or bonnet if you use one.

  • @KenRadManRaddon
    @KenRadManRaddon 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a hot rod agitator and it works but it is not fast and it leaves bad, hard to remove swirl marks on plush carpet i.e. polyester.
    And if you'll take some advice from an old timer in this biz.... I noticed when you wand and when you rake with that brush you always go from right to left. Or when you do work left to right you're always on the same side of the wand or brush. Make yourself use the other side of the tool until it is second nature. You're hands will thank you. Your back/body will thank you too.

    Honestly, I couldn't see a before and after difference at all on that dark green carpet. In fact, it still looked dirty to me in front of the doorway entrances. Hard to be sure. But, isn't the soil supposed to be removed doring the vacuum process? I mean, it's premature to expect a clean carpet at this stage, right?

    • @waltergorena9597
      @waltergorena9597 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, The buffer really does wonders on carpets.
      But I'm sure after the agitation with the the floor buffer you're suppose to extract the dirt with a carpet cleaning machine.
      "Steamcleaner"
      Can't believe he didn't do that.
      He just hid all that grime without steam cleaning it.
      I know because I've got my own Equipment, and steamclean afterwards.

    • @AVG336
      @AVG336 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just FYI, those that are calling his machine a "buffer", its not a buffer. This machine does anywhere from 250-500rpm depending on pad. Floor buffers are technically 1000 rpms all the way up to 10,000. This machine has more torque as well that a traditional floor buffer.

      blindedby2monkeys . It’s encapsulation cleaning. It’s very dry and most of the dirt goes on the bonnets. Very affective cleaning method. Some say better then steam because it drys so fast.

    Normally I wouldn't say because my mother told me "if you don't have anything nice to say,. don't say anything at all." Thats a good formula to live by, however, we can say this is constructive criticism. Jacob, read the manual for operation for the buffer, its going to show you how to lock the buffer for smooth operation. This reduces damage to the carpet, the buffer and you. Also, read the book on your cleaning solution or call your rep. I believe your using the buffer, the sprayer the solution and the shag brush incorrectly . Your a good hard worker just need to work smarter.
