I remember the first time when I saw my first quad track I was so impressed by it when I drove by me on this gravel lot it barely even made an impression into the gravel
The case has more power a better transmission and smoother ride. The deere has a better monitor and GPS system. The case is far superior in my opinion. My family has ran both and the case has worked out well. We have a 500 and 580 both have 36 inch tracks.
@@chadjustice8560 case runs a better track system and smoother transmission. We run a case 580 quadtrac and a johndeere 9570rt and the case has better shifting and a smoother ride but the johndeere has better fuel economy and less upkeep .
@@bigtractorpower going to be awesome! Thank you sir! I guess that will be a add on model, since they just refreshed and bumped the other models up a little? Add on model with a different style hood compared to the others?
Sir greetings, i was thinking of making a certain request to you and if possible see if you can do it, now we have really learnt a lot abaut planting corn, soya beans and such, now how abaut doing videos with tractors say planting potatoes, onions, and such and harvesting such crops? i think it would not only be intresting but aslo very educative , thanks
Good question. I have been filming potato planting for five years building footage for just such a video. Big Tractor Power just filmed at a carrot farm today. I have also been filming vegetable farms harvesting as well. Lots of different videos on the way.
@@bigtractorpower Thanks so much and i wait to see those videos, where are those videos of potatoes planting? are they on your youtube channel? remain blessed
The Quad Track needs about 300 lbs. Of weight on the right to counter balance that giant muffler😂 That thing looks goofy , although when that muffler is shot you can just hang a 55 gallon drum with a pipe in it's place🤣
I'm interested to know if you need 620hp to pull the 55ft John Deere 2210 cultivator or could either of the four wheel drive articulated tractors you own be comfortable pulling that piece of equipment. Great video stay safe God Bless regards Kevin Fox,London Essex.
Kevin Fox speed and depth would be a big factor in the required HP. He’s running pretty fast and pulling at a decent depth here. I’ve pulled our current 50’ and an older 54’ cultivator with 360-375hp tractors, but not as fast. That 620 could pull bigger, but I doubt JD makes a cultivator much bigger, as folding and transporting becomes a problem
@@jwedel1777 here in Michigan we run a 64 foot 2210 cultivator with a 580 quadtrac and another 2210 at 55 feet with a johndeere 9570rt. The 64 foot unit requires more power and works the 580 . We don't run very deep we run them at 7 mph on flat ground . We farm 5200 acres and we try to cover as much ground as we can because we custom farm as well .
For anyone looking to go tracks in an articulated machine go with this style and not the high lead idler like NH T9's were running, T9's now tend to be all flat track like the Case. our 2015 T9.615 is so rough it broke the exhaust mount and jarred the internals of the muffler loose and they all dropped and choked the flow, very expensive to replace.
I have wanted to film the NH Smarttrax T9 since they were introduced. The T9.615 is my favorite T9. I am sorry to hear the Smarttrax is so rough. I have come across similar complaints on the ATI track also used on the S690/S680 Deere combines. Very rough riding. Each farm that I know that used that track onntbeir combine from the factory switched out to dual tires after one year of use. They are a cool looking track like they cane of a tank. The Quadtrac design from Case IH is very smooth riding.
They need to second pass that field or run a crumbler or packer behind it . We run 2 of those 2210 cultivators a 64 foot and a 55 foot we run crumblers with both . But soil types and conditions vary . Here in Michigan our soils are heavy and less sandy than Kentucky.

The fuel tank holds 470 gallons. Typically an operation like this is going to burn about 18 gallons an hour and they will put in a 13-14 hour day during planting. In a long day the tractor will consume 250 gallons. i love the case ih quadtrack and steiger. raw and powerfull BADASS!!! machines
Amazing (and expensive) equipment.
Excellent video & machines. Huge planting set up!! And great commentary!!
The cultivator does a really nice job. Thanks for the video👍
😁👍👍
This year is the 25th Anniversary of the CaseIH quadtrac.Remember the quadtrac being introduced in August 1996 along with their Magnum 8910-8950
I am looking forward to the anniversary logo.
That's getting it done!
The cultivator would be doing about 45 acres per hour and the planter about 35.
$1,000,000 worth of equipment.

You did a good job keeping the noise under control 👍.
Yes i watched the teactors as well lol.
😁👍👍. Wind is always a challenge. Especially in April and March.
That implement is doing a great job. Great video.

Nice.
