From a family of mechanics, first thing my dad taught me was always take the old part to get the correct new one. In my mid 50's and still I haven't gotten that down, I end up taking parts back regularly.😂
Empty manure pit!! Great job. Now you're filling it up again--endless cycle--fill and empty! Fill and empty!! Glad to see you were power washing the equipment. Makes it last a lot longer, and helps keep the decay away. Thanks Taylor!!
I hate to preach but ik people who have been seriously injured or worse. When working on that loader or anything like that make sure you have a piece of angle iron made up to loack that cylinder from coming down if a line blows 😊 happy farming
A cold wet May is a barn full of hay! Hot dry june and you'll change your tune! I'v used a heavy zip tie on a tie rod like that to get it to the shop!!
Thank you for another great video, we love to watch them, Thursday and Sunday mornings are reserved for me now to watch what you and Brent are doing!!!!!!
You don't need to apologize if you're dirty I say if you're a farmer and you're clean you're doing something wrong it's just part of farming to get dirty
wow. I've been watching for a while now and seen you clean the pad and dump into the pit like this a couple of times before. But I never realized the hill you climb to get to dump over the pit wall was so steep. Good camera angle there. Ditto for the views from mounting on the front of the tractor and on the skid steer. Good job overall. Not that I know anything about camera work. I don't. I just liked it. Please don't apologize for getting dirty. You work hard and fearlessly. you are right there, jumping into whatever needs to be done and doing all you can without hesitation. That dirt is well-earned. I have tons of respect for you.
I agree on the loader safety for a cylinder safety stop or loader block and never walking under a raised loader without those. It's good to have extra eyes from watching the video while you are trying to get everything done and make sure a little extra time keeps everyone safe.
Power steering is blessing but with heavy loads loader needs to be moving to turn. Lots of force is applied to front end when sitting still and turning the wheels. Looks great, smart move on cleaning the equipment. Very good idea on changing out the axle oil whilst your there. Kubota is good equipment. Brent must have had a job running heavy equipment sometime in his life. Find your boss a golf car to ride around in save his knees some. Thanks Taylor for another great wonderful video
Good Morning Taylor, I agree with a previous comment about you and Brent need two way radios ( Walkie Talkies) to make life a little more easier Did you ever get the hand throttle fixed on the ( Kubota ? ) it may be something very simple to fix Well anyways I am hoping you start getting really nice weather to make the grass and hay grow so you will have an abundance of of feed for next winter😊
Hi sweetie, im glad you got the manure pit empty it looks good. It’s raining here a lot as well. Something always breaks on a farm for sure.🤦♂️ Hope all is well up there. 🤗
Hi, your commitment is fantastic. No matter whether it's working on and with the cows or all the hard work around the farm - and everything 24/7. Huge respect for both of you. 👍👍
For safety, the correct thing to do would be to replace the entire steering rod, as if it has excessive play it could fall. If you can, check the clearances in the steering parts, this will prevent future expenses. I say this because I'm a mechanic and I've also worked with agricultural equipment on a farm here in southern Brazil.
Taylor you have probably been asked and answered this question before. You are very knowledgeable on all aspects of farming. Did you go to Ag college or just learn it all working with Brent?
At least that tie rod end let go when at a somewhat 'convenient' place & time! I find it interesting that vehicles, equipment and tools run and perform better when clean! I hope the rain subsides for a few days and you can enjoy some sun! Stay safe!
Hi Taylor thanks for another awesome video. Your like a pair of ballerinas when you are cleaning out machines in unison each knowing what the other is going to do. There is always something to mend on a farm, man that international sounds awesome. There's something satisfying washing dirty equipment then standing back when it's clean and saying yeah. Thanks again take care and stay safe.😊.
Hi Taylor and Brent just finished watching you’re video it’s was awesome you think if you’re working in parts room you should know me still haven’t learned yet keep going back an forth as always you both be safe 🇺🇸
Manure handling is a never-ending job even with modest numbers of cattle. At least the steering linkage survived until the pit was emptied out. Cleaning the spreaders and tractors helps prevent them from corroding into oblivion. Many barn lot tractors turn from their factory-issued color to "manure brown"...making even routine lubrication a chore!!!
Kubota’s have a ball valve on the loader lift circuit as a safety. Would be next to the quick coupler that connects the loader to the tractor valve. Just in front of the door on the right.
That would be fine unless a hydraulic line burst on the loader. They make slotted pipe that hooks onto the lift cylinder to prevents it from physically falling. Nothing else I would support the bucket with a metal rod or wooden board.
Hello Taylor & Brent. Amen to all of the rain, rain and more rain because we have had our share of rain and thunderstorms here in Central Kentucky as well. A few days ago, I removed the fender pan from off of my small John Deere 165 lawn tractor and there was crud buildup everywhere it seemed. I have been soaking everything down with SuperClean and the torrential downpours have been doing the rest. I think my tractor must have had the original hydro drive belt from 1987 because the old belt sure was decrepit.,Just like your Kubota tractor, When things decide to break apart - As in my case, it was a really bad spot, Of Course. If you have a good machine shop locally, You may be able to get the oblong hole reamed our and maybe a piece of DOM tubing welded in as a bushing which would be a lot quicker process than ordering something from Kubota - Essentially from Japan. Your welder will know what I am referring to regarding your steering part. Best of luck to both of you regarding the repair work.
Ahhh the pit looks great youngin!! I tie rod ain't that big of a deal. I still think Brent is a jam up skid steer operator 🤔🤔🤔👍👍. Your a very good operator and everyone in Northeast Arkansas says hey Taylor 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🚜🐄🐄🐄🙏⚘
If you really need the tractor now, you could always weld the "tie rod end stud "on the "knuckle" where the nut would go and call it a day seeing as both parts need to be changed anyway.
The physical and mental work you do while farming would entitle you to get a job in any line of work. But I must add that working on a farm is much more rewarding than any other job. You should never be concerned about how you look because you always look great. Besides a little smudge of dirt on your face is a beauty mark.🚜🚜🐄🌽😉
Another great video. Makes you feel like something was accomplished at the end of the day. Shame about the Kubota. But I am sure it will get fixed. Ingenuity is a farmer's secret weapon. Have a great day, say hello to Brent and God Bless
Hi Taylor, you're lucky to have a reliable mechanic on hand, that's how economy works even in a small community👌do you remember, farmgirls aren't afraid to get dirty?🧑🌾🚜😅
How does a person stay clean on a dairy farm? When I went to dairy school, I lived and worked on a Registered Holstein farm with a tie stall barn. After morning milking, the barn was cleaned and fresh limestone put down. Afterwards, I would go in and shower, then change into clean clothes for school. If I had to walk through the barn, I would walk down the middle of the 8 foot alley, on the fresh lime. By the time I would return to the milkhouse, I would have cow manure on me somewhere. I felt like Pigpen in the Peanuts comics. 50 years later and I still miss the dairy barn.
From a family of mechanics, first thing my dad taught me was always take the old part to get the correct new one. In my mid 50's and still I haven't gotten that down, I end up taking parts back regularly.😂
Weld that hole up it is tapered but you'll get it. Or replace the knuckle. Good job guys!!
Empty manure pit!! Great job. Now you're filling it up again--endless cycle--fill and empty! Fill and empty!! Glad to see you were power washing the equipment. Makes it last a lot longer, and helps keep the decay away. Thanks Taylor!!

Next thing to learn: welding, can't be a farmer without the skill of sticking two metal plates together (does not need to pretty).
Amazing job on getting that pit empty. Quite an accomplishment. The whole manure handling system is 100% now.
Equipment always looks so much nicer after its cleaned. Equipment that looks good is more likely to be better maintained.
You don't need to apologize if you're dirty I say if you're a farmer and you're clean you're doing something wrong it's just part of farming to get dirty
You both work really well together it seems.

you two need a walkie talkie in the tractors😀Thank you
That would work much better wouldn’t it!
@@tayfarmsHell YA !!!!!

Never a good sight, employee walking without tractor!😂Bet oh Brent was thinking "what now"
Great video. I enjoy watching them, and look forward to the next one! You and Brent work so hard keeping things running.
I've been thinking about the possibility of selling my garden Produce to the local stores around the area.
Very focused on what you can manage within your farming practices,Above all enjoy your day.
You guys did great today ,and you are totally amazing 😮
Taylor and her tractor!
GREAT VIDEO.Yes having a good welder close by is very important on the farm.take care and stay safe.

Good Morning Taylor and Brent! So looking forward to the hay season.
Your dedication to be good farmers shows through your hard work . The pit looks good and the farm is looking beautiful.👍
I enjoy your videos! Tks for sharing
Glad you like them! Thanks for joining us 😀
Miss VT and ME very much. Had a dairy farm. Always enjoy your videos of the countryside. Live in PA now but nothing like up north.
Hello Taylor, great video. I loved it. Thanks
Another great vid! Things do break! Stay safe
Team Work. Thanks. Tay. Brent
Another video that was good. Yes, keep it real!
Really enjoyed your video
Your shop says it all. Doesn't have to be fancy, just functional
Taylor you have probably been asked and answered this question before. You are very knowledgeable on all aspects of farming. Did you go to Ag college or just learn it all working with Brent?

You seem like a wonderful person in a very difficult situation... I am sorry that everything you do is like reinventing the wheel

You and Brent make a great team. Wondering where any family is to help out. Did nobody want to farm. I was curious about it

Only one thing more satisfying than watching you pressure wash, is doing it myself🤣(except for the splatter 🤷♂️😂)
Hi Taylor i really enjoy your vedios i subscribe too I'm from prince Edward Island Canada
there is CONCRETE under there ? Who would have guessed ! GREAT PROJECT !
If you really need the tractor now, you could always weld the "tie rod end stud "on the "knuckle" where the nut would go and call it a day seeing as both parts need to be changed anyway.
Hi Taylor! I didn't know you used two cameras sometimes.
At 17:00 always put the bolts and nuts in a can to keep them together
I can't believe how the nut fell off the tie rod end glad you weren't driving down the road
Will you guys be using the corn silage pit to the left of where the tires are if you get to plant corn this year
🆒 Video Taylor !!!!!
It looks like the Bucky cutting edge needs replaced on the skid steer
Always fun on a farm
😄

Tedious job but my dad always said the slower you move the wand the faster the job gets done
wonder if you could find a loader for one of the other tractors then youd have a backup
Great video seems like you have a lot of good luck with your Kubota how many hours on it
Thanks so much! Yes it’s been a very reliable tractor, think it has a little over 4,000hrs now
Nice video Taylor.
Thanks so much!
Another great video. Makes you feel like something was accomplished at the end of the day. Shame about the Kubota. But I am sure it will get fixed. Ingenuity is a farmer's secret weapon. Have a great day, say hello to Brent and God Bless
Time for a new Buggy!! 🚜
Hi from❤Dexter🏠Missouri❤️
I put c clamp on bolt to keep mine in while i got to shop
Always wondered how u shot the tractor cab shots. Now we know the secret location of your tractor camera that shows your out the front of the cab
good from durham uk
What is the name of that lake behind the barn?
Hi Taylor, you're lucky to have a reliable mechanic on hand, that's how economy works even in a small community👌do you remember, farmgirls aren't afraid to get dirty?🧑🌾🚜😅
Hi!! Yes very lucky! I always remember that☺️
@@tayfarms you are great!
Super💯video
Thanks so much!
Another great video of a hard working girl
And even a wheel loader will break down with a worn track rod end
You are so AMAZING in every way 😊
That SO sweet of you, thank you!!
Farmers favorite saying " Just weld it" Just be glad that didn't happen going down the road! Change the gear oil in that cutterbar!🤙
😅 yup, we changed the cutter bar oil the end of last season before we put it away. So all good to go👍🏻😁
I gotta ask why you wouldn't have just finished that with the skid steer instead of leaving that stuff there just curious lol
You are an amazing person Taylor, Can't believe you don't mine getting dirty

When was the manure pit built?
I’m the early 90’s I believe
Since u only grow hay, how do u replant ur hay? Round up then no-till?
..... Juicy ...!!!
You should have an articulated wheel loader far stronger than farm tractors
What’s that new rattle on the Kabota🤔
Good morning 🌅 ✌🏻💚🌱🌻
Good morning!😃☀️
Crappie place to break down
😄👍👍👍
Never….NEVER…apologize for being dirty while working on a farm, or anywhere else in industry
🎉🎉😜
