There are guys on TH-cam who own welding companies who's welding is nowhere near as neat & high quality as Tuckers.
You can tell Clint is proud of how good his welding is & rightly so as well.
I guess Matt’s off-road recovery and Heavy D Sparks will have to recall their statement “We have the largest off road wrecker” now that the Het is built.
I say sell the HET to HeavyD. those guys will find a way to break it. repeat business fixing the stuff they break abusing that Jerr Dan
Heavy d does have a het wrecker also. Shoot I wish the Army had done that when I was in Iraq to a het.

As usual, Kevin is the star of the show. Now he needs to get ready to paint the truck Lime Yellow so it can be seen in the daytime and night time. Put some neat artwork decals on the flat sides of the cab.

Hey Clint , maybe give Murphys Diesel a shout . He had to take his rotator 6 miles or so down a railroad access road to recover a track service truck. He could have used a wrecker like that. He made it down and did the job and made it back , but he did have some clearance issues with the rotator and the access road

Perhaps install the small wench in the front of the truck? It could be used to anchor the truck to something (like another truck or a tree) in the event the truck starts sliding while pulling with the big wench.
I'm very impressed with every aspect of this build. The school may have given your sons the basics, but you are allowing them to perfect their skills. Keep on learning, Young Men. I will be waiting for pt.3.
The price tag is going up but very typical the quality is going to be there when completed. Get er done!!

something I've noticed over the years is that bottle jacks have been around for decades yet no one has come up with a better way of pumping them up or releasing the pressure on them
Hello, the old saying is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". They were invented in 1851 and patented in 1905 and have been modified but are intended to be used anywhere and are very rugged. cheers

Tucker, I’m a 60yrs young, recently revisiting stick welding (the last time I struck a weld was junior high shop class, hahaha), so I am not experienced enough to judge your welds…, but I watch & follow a number of TH-cam channels of welders (“Ike” I.C., Weld, “Kurtis” Cutting Edge Engineering Australia, “Frank” DigginOk., “Clinton” C&C Equipment),and many others…, and can note comparisons…, your work is pretty damn nice. Hunter, I am sure Tucker covered up some damn nice root welds.

The some pin on extensions for the out riggers and can be taken off and mounted on it for storage somewhere so if off road and on un level ground or really soft ground where theyll just sink out of sight they can put them on gain more extension

Mr. C. I would leave that small winch on. That way you can use it off a snach block to pull your big heavy cables to the item that you are retrieving.
From what i have seen on videos those big heavy wrecker trucks carry a whole slew of paraphernalia of equipment, tools etc from blocks of assorted sized timber, a massive selection of different sized and lengths of tow chains, strops and straps? Where are these to be carried and stored on the truck? -platform behind the cab? A quick small winch like that might be ideal to lift them back up to the walking access platform height. What about a rigid length tow pole to be carried on board the vehicle?
Have tou thought about putting a pond in for the cows to access? They will stand in it to cool down as needed and im sure drink from it now amd again. But it would make it easier on the chore list than spraying or filling water constantly because they splash it out. Just curious. You guys are doing great getting that area set up. I know if it were possible i would have volunteered my time to come help set up all that fencing. Huge undertaking but you are doing an awesome job with it non the less.

I own several Heavy Duty Tow trucks and Rotators. I don’t think you are getting enough hydraulic pressure for the bed operation, look for you pressure gauge for the bed and it will make a huge difference. Just my opinion

A couple of snatch blocks on the end of the boom, you could pull a truck straight up the side of a hill with those big winches ! The boys seem to be good welders, for grumpy teenagers, lol.
