Said this stuff was great 2 months ago. It is good ammo, but handloading for 7.62×39 can be a bit challenging if you want to find the correct bullet weights for the caliber. I ended up using .308 diameter 150Gr FMJ from Hornady. Yes, i know people will insist Mini-30's have .311 bores. I mic'd mine with my Calipers and the grooves, the deepest point of the rifling, came in at .308 exactly on a rifle made in 2017. With 150 grain loads, i managed to hit a man sized target at 100 yards every shot once the sights were adjusted.
@Adam-dn1vp I'm not surprised. Nosler is good stuff, but a little expensive for my range trips. Same with Lapua. Have 2 boxes of 180 grain Laupua .308 bullets that are basically only used for hunting because they are discontinued. The unfortunate thing about handloading is if you scrounge bullets from yards sales or old inventory and find one that really works, it is likely discontinued and you have to make your supply stretch as much as possible
Mini-30's and Americans in that caliber have tapered bores to shoot .308" as well as .312" pills. A steady diet of steel jacketed bullets will degrade that bore over time but the copper jacketed bullets of M67 spec cartridges should be fine in those guns.
I started buying Belom a couple of years ago and it has been great. The ammo is non-corrosive, the packaging is awesome and the ammo is reloadable. When I first started buying Belom it was close in price to the usual steel cased, dirty, non-boxer primer, 7.62x39 ammo. Belom is partially government owned and their products are excellent. BTW, it would be nice if you guys could mess up a little bit while making your videos, the bloopers are great. 👍
