Ruger made a good call in keeping their pistol compatible with glock. The holster especially. I got a Hellcat & with a light on it I cannot find a holster locally. The majority of holsters I do find are Glock & Sig.
I would like to see Ruger work on modernizing something from their old P series line of pistols. A G19 clone, I suppose that is cool, but a P89, modern polymers, a grip like this one, a rail, a hammer and a decocker, better sights, PMAGs, that would be fun.

I had to spend $300 in parts and test fire ammo to fix brass-to-face ejection from my gen 3 Glock 19. From the ejection consistency in this video, it looks like this isn't a problem with the Ruger RXM. It also has better metal cowitness sights, better optics mounting, modular operating group, better slide sculpting/serrations, undercut rounded trigger guard, 1911 no-hump grip angle, flared mag well, and extended takedown lever.
I like the better takedown lever, that is a plus. I'd buy one just for the. I wonder if my Glock 25 380 barrel would work on it. I wonder if my Glock 25 mags would work.

Good morning, Mixup98 and Son. Hope all is well with ya'll. I am out of action for a few months with surgery, so it's nice to see you guys popping some rounds off. I'm jealous and looking forward to getting back to it! I actually bought some guns recently that I still haven't gotten any rounds through yet.
I told myself no more guns this year after getting two on Black Friday. Now, this one is definitely on my list, because it has a lot of what I would want in my next 9mm. The fact that this is about $400, takes Glock Mags, has a FCU, and has a cut-out for a red dot makes this a really solid option for my next 9mm pistol.
My problem with Rugar firearms is how accurate and well made they are. My SR9C and my 243 American give me no reason to purchase and thing new. Love your channel. Thank you.
I seen another review of this and they said the grip angle was same as a 1911, but yours looked to me to be the same as a glock. I really like this gun , I will keep my eyes out for one, thanks for the review.
Magpuls website states it is a 20.5 degree angle. It is between the 18 degrees of the 1911 and the 22 degree angle of the Glock. And they do have black grip modules for 40 bones.
Good review. This may be a clone of an existing design, but it still must be manufactured correctly to be reliable, as you two have just shown. My local Rural King store has this at 399.99$
I'm usually pretty happy with Ruger's stuff. I bought a Ruger Security 9 back in January of this year and it's been a pretty decent gun so far. Though not a carbon copy of the Glock 19 as it's a hammer system, it also is compatible with gen 3 accessories and holsters. I actually use a Glock holster for my range holster. I've put about 500 rounds through it so far of various brands and have yet to get a jam. For a $300 gun it's not bad at all.
I'm going to wait until the OD green one comes out. No use buying the grey one and then having to buy the OD green grip module later. Great video - as always!
Guys. Great Video as usual. I think the RXM is a nice addition to the Ruger Lineup. Thanks for the excellent review. One request, could you possibly do a review of the Stoeger STR 9C. Thanks!
I have looked at the STR 9c and unfortunately it only comes with one metal magazine and extra mags cost at least $35. And no, it doesn't use Glock mags either. Honestly, I probably won't be doing a review on the pistol but thank you for the suggestion.
This thing has unlimited potential. They could offer full size grips that takes g17 mags. They could offer a shorter grip that takes g26 mags, they could also offer glock angles for those of us who like glocks. Could literally have one gun to do it all.
@mikeoxlong3676 they already said they will have different sizes and colors. You will be able to buy the frames off magpuls website and switch out the internals yourself. Pretty much buy the gun once then spend $40 per frame and have multiple pistols essentially.
Thanks for the review. Different TH-camrs with their own unique perspective doing the same gun. I'm liking it so far. With Glock's patent expiration on the gen 3 everyone is producing their own "gen 3" offerings
Love the test on this Ruger RXM, almost identical to the G-Force Exodus you tested about one month ago. Picked mine up for a cool on-sale $199.00 with a $50.00 rebate and it's an amazing firearm. Thanks for another great review 👍👍💪💪
I don't understand why you would want to get a Glock 19 clone when you can just get a Glock 19 lol . Buy once, cry once. I also feel like Ruger's QC is slipping. I bought an LCP Max earlier this year, and the trigger is horrible and sights did not shot point of aim. There were a lot of people complaining about this, so it wasn't just me. The rear sight on the RXM is just black? I think I will pass on this one and stick with my Glock 19 Gen5.
Thats great you reviewed this , you are a good Ruger guy, i enjoy the ricochet and echo , pretty cool, i enjoy themore laid back style of your reviews than the stiff ones out there
Out the box, it bests the Glock Gen 3. Great grip angle, direct mount red dot capable, semi flared thumb rest, optic high sights plus tritium front sight. So far, it looks reliable. I like it.

I have modified several Glock frames in the past, and they look almost identical to what MAGPUL has made standard on the RXM. Great minds do think alike. Even so, I think I'll wait for the 10mm version.
I really like this pistol. Hopefully, Ruger/Magpul will come out with some different color options right away. This pistol would probably look great in FDE. When that happens I'll be picking one up for sure. Great video guys. Merry Christmas.
If you’re not a Glock fan, this pistol seems to capture all the benefits of the Gen3 design while mitigating the issues that drive people like me away from Big G. Even though it’s mostly a clone, it’s gone from a gun I won’t buy (G19) to a gun I would, which is an accomplishment 👏
I bought mine this morning and shot it this afternoon. I'm very pleased. The Glock Gen 3 compatibility works as advertised. Dropped my spare Dagger threaded barrel right in. Was able to suppress it right out of the box. Obviously it doesn't come threaded so you will have to buy an aftermarket barrel for now. I'm sure eventually Ruger will offer one suppressor ready. I'll have to put some more rounds through mine but so far so good in my example. Ruger is gonna sell a ton of these.
Hoping this will get approved for sale in MA. Yes! All handguns must first be tested before they can be sold in MA. This means the manufacturer must send in 5 or 6 handguns and a check for $10,000 so they can be tested. I looked this up in the dictionary and it said, see also "Communism".

Do you mean like all those company's have done with Rugers 10/22 ?
Ruger owns the bolt action sporting rifle world now that Remington defunct.
Mixup & Son: Very best & priceless channel on YT. Your kid is also an outstanding Pro photographer!🏆.
(Truly love the 'Star Trek' intro, whenever you include it in your awsome videos). Beautiful image of you both in such a gorgeous landscape @ the end of video. Mixup98 must be a VERY proud American🇺🇲 gentleman 'cuz of his beautiful family and their sharp shooting skills!!.
A family that enjoys plinking together, stays together!.
😊🇺🇲💪🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just want you to know I know everyone else is doing a review on this new product, but I waited for your video. You're the best. Keep up the good work! 👍
We will and my son and I really appreciate the nice comment. 👍😎
👍😎
Good morning, Mixup98 and Son. Hope all is well with ya'll. I am out of action for a few months with surgery, so it's nice to see you guys popping some rounds off. I'm jealous and looking forward to getting back to it! I actually bought some guns recently that I still haven't gotten any rounds through yet.
Sorry to hear that you are out of action, but we hope you recover quickly so that you can get back to the range before it gets too cold.
@mixup98 Lol, it never gets too cold here in Southern Arizona, but thank you!
Heck, what's one more gun before the end of the year! 👍😎 I think you'll be very happy with it if you decide to get one!
My problem with Rugar firearms is how accurate and well made they are. My SR9C and my 243 American give me no reason to purchase and thing new. Love your channel. Thank you.
Thanks, we appreciate your feedback.
My SR9c. Is the best gun I've ever owned.
Gunpowder smell in the morning is almost as awakening as a cup of coffee.
Yes indeed 👍😎
🌲Great shootin' - Merry Christmas! 🎅💯💥👍!
Thank you Frank and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
When son was shooting with the 17 rd Glock mag I think I heard some ricocheting going on in the audio. Looks like a goodRuger.
Built my own G 19 from 80% lower and parts. It was a fun project for around $280 and it works just fine
@@williamfrench2481 I wouldn’t talk about it online there, man.
Luigi, is that you?
@ No, Im his brother Mario. Now off I go in my cart 😆
@@williamfrench2481 I see you don't follow the news.
@@drmitofit2673 actually I do. Just being funny (which the news isn’t)!
Nice that it shares mags with their carbine as well
I'm going to wait until the OD green one comes out. No use buying the grey one and then having to buy the OD green grip module later. Great video - as always!
Oh look a plastic framed, striker fired, browning tilt barrel action, dongle trigger thingy 9mm! We certainly have a scarcity of those.
Not very exciting, I agree. But they are delivering exactly what the market is asking for, so I'm sure their investors will be happy.
wow! 😮
I see you point Swede. But it's Ruger.
Build something you like.
@@6.5x55 don’t worry, we’ll get more AR platform options soon enough too 😂
Great review, as always. You guys know your stuff and are great target shoot. Thanks. ✌️
You are very welcome Robert and thank you for the awesome comment.
Looks like a quality firearm for a good price.
Glock is becoming the Chevy Small Block of handguns. I like all the parts available and the ease of maintenance. I like the Anderson Glock Clone.
@@mixup98 Oh well, it was worth a try anyway. Still think you guys are the best. Really, really enjoy your videos!
It's amazing how much that Ruger looks like one of my Poly80 Frankenbuilds...
Id rather see Ruger make the pc carbine takedown with magpul backpacker stock chambered in 10mm.
That would be much more interesting.
That’s gonna be a pretty good seller at that price point with a lot of good features.
This thing has unlimited potential. They could offer full size grips that takes g17 mags. They could offer a shorter grip that takes g26 mags, they could also offer glock angles for those of us who like glocks. Could literally have one gun to do it all.
Yup
@mikeoxlong3676 they already said they will have different sizes and colors. You will be able to buy the frames off magpuls website and switch out the internals yourself. Pretty much buy the gun once then spend $40 per frame and have multiple pistols essentially.
Unlimited potential but names all glock stuff that glock does
Kudos for the PSA Slowmow zoom on your sons shooting the RuGER. When you know you know
At this time there are two part numbers from Ruger. One comes with two 10 rounders, the other with two 15 rounders. Your store was just confused.
Thanks for the review. Different TH-camrs with their own unique perspective doing the same gun. I'm liking it so far.
With Glock's patent expiration on the gen 3 everyone is producing their own "gen 3" offerings
You are very welcome. I appreciate the feedback.
Made in my home state...I'm down with that!
Just bought one today. Put a Holosun 507 comp on it. Going to the range tomorrow.
I have a Holosun 508 and maybe I will put it on my RXM and do another review on this awesome pistol. Thanks for the suggestion.
Still love my Ruger sr9c.
Trigger is far better than a stock Glock.
I dont like the gap at the front. Seems like the Glock 19 lower didnt have a gap.
Oh sure... make me want another new pistol... lol Thanks for the review! Looks like a weener!
👍😎
Love the test on this Ruger RXM, almost identical to the G-Force Exodus you tested about one month ago. Picked mine up for a cool on-sale $199.00 with a $50.00 rebate and it's an amazing firearm. Thanks for another great review 👍👍💪💪
EXODUS with G17 mags is in my nightstand.
It's that good!
Good morning thanks again
Good morning and thank you for watching!
Great gun, great video, great shooting, great channel! Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Thats great you reviewed this , you are a good Ruger guy, i enjoy the ricochet and echo , pretty cool, i enjoy themore laid back style of your reviews than the stiff ones out there
Nice, Gruger 😂👍
Or Gluger
McGruber ?😂
Glager?
@beargillium2369 😂
Gloger
Out the box, it bests the Glock Gen 3. Great grip angle, direct mount red dot capable, semi flared thumb rest, optic high sights plus tritium front sight. So far, it looks reliable. I like it.
Great gun!
How?

@@Clay-i7y you fall in line with the other sheep of the gun community.. bah bah 🐑
Great video, love the echo in the canyon. Murica!
I have modified several Glock frames in the past, and they look almost identical to what MAGPUL has made standard on the RXM. Great minds do think alike. Even so, I think I'll wait for the 10mm version.
Great review, Thanks for running through some mag variety… Your review has peaked my interest in this firearm…
Ain’t that something, the best gun Ruger makes is actually a Glock.
lol definitely not
Most of rugers stuff is pretty decent especially for the price
If you cant beat em
@@leroyjenkins4811 🤣🤣🤣
no, but only an experienced shooter would know that
I really like this pistol.
I use a funny .22 LR that has an external hammer but looks like a Glock.
Thanks guys, I just heard about this gun myself, sounds like a good carry piece for not bad money.
Ruger should have added a manual safety option. Glock refuses and alienated those who prefer the option..
What did was the sticker price ?
Did you try swapping slides?
Hoping this will get approved for sale in MA. Yes! All handguns must first be tested before they can be sold in MA. This means the manufacturer must send in 5 or 6 handguns and a check for $10,000 so they can be tested. I looked this up in the dictionary and it said, see also "Communism".
@@matthewfortin4335 Look into finding a better dictionary.
