I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. Nor am I a professional DIY’R. However I am good at following directions, and these 2 videos were very helpful for me to change the front and rear brake pads and rotors on my 2020 Kia Soul. Thank you very much! ☘️

Liked the narrative plus some insights about the rust removal and lube benefits. Different ballgame with car on lift.

The caliper on mine did not turn in as easily as yours and I had a hard time holding it. I found that if I left the bottom caliper bolt in, the caliper would clear the disc and pads enough for the tool and I had much better luck.

Can you use needle nose pliers to compress the caliper piston?

So to put pads back on over the piston no need to spin the piston counterclockwise to set the pads?

Cant you just use a C clamp instead of that square tool?

The rear calipers have to be turned otherwise they will not go in.

@@Alohahomeautorepair youre right. I used needle nose pliers to spin the slots backwards on my kia

@@jwayne777 Interesting about the needlenose. Take cap off brake fluid res so no back pressure pushing piston in
