I truly hope Korone and Botan continue to get into fighting game progress. They both worked hard and fought leagues above the average in this event. Bouncing off one another to ricochet to new heights would be amazing.
Korone tweeted after this tournament that "The Heat is still burning! I might do some ranked matches later tonight"
So at least one of them is addicted now
It seems Korone will continue playing SF6. She's already went way and beyond and bought herself a custom fight stick and played hours after the cr cup finished.
@@ZoMbi5lAy3r GREAT! She legit has such a sense and determination for fighting games that deserves to be bolstered and honed.
@@ArchiveRagtagMoe Fighting games are a type that seems to appeal to her nature and I hope that she continues to play and improve. Legit she is attuned to the mindset that makes champions.
imagine decades from now not just hololive but how many v-tuber will hold games like this or even tittle. getting your ass kicked by small vtuber.
Real shoutout to the coaches, the girls wouldn't have made it this far without their support and teachings!
They are some the best of the best coaches and the gods of the FGC. I'm 100% sure they're gonna go far from fighting games 😊
@@itscanyonevesimp I hope Korone and Botan will play more fighting games and enter other tournaments.
The coaches are awesome. And Korone got Kazunoko while Botan got Dogura, that's so cool.
Yeah wish the people in Nz and Australia was this supportive, instead of bullying low lvl players.
@@hieioni3354 technically his name is Dogura. He's also an expert in Blazblue too even though nowadays he plays Street Fighter
Dang, this match is a good example of "styles make fights". You know what Korone and Botan are gonna do and it is just a matter of who executes their strat better. Korone has come a long wayyy but Botan seem to be catching up real fast. Thanks to the doog and lalion for the great matches. GGs everyone 👌
It's not styles I mean yes there is zoner and grappler but the real amazing part was how fast korone adjusted to how good botan got and how botan nearly adjusted to beat korone around the end but another slight adjustment in play style helped her won. The first match korone didn't forward jump out of corners and didnt back jump botans advance. It's these adjustments that I find sooo amazing in Japanese FG players.
Not to take anything away from Botan, but Korone’s efforts from when she started learning SFV to SF6 is unbelievably impressive. While Botan is getting good, she’s using a beginner friendly character like Marisa on Modern controls (which is a simplified 4 button system as opposed to the classic 6) Korone staying dedicated to classic is impressive as their is a high chance of input error, especially for newer players. Korone is using JP who is a Zoner with multiple variations on even one special move. JP players need to consider the correct inputs and strengths of each special and follow ups to make it work. While it is possible to use 1 button specials in modern, it doesn’t account for all versions of specials like low or overhead high types. That needs to be done manually like classic.
That means Korone put in the extra time to remember and execute her specials.
It’s awesome!
@@kinoleogeo7998Korone has been playing street fighter way longer than Botan. Botan only recently got into it and she's busy with the concert prep.
@@milesedgeworth132 how is way longer, Korone just played a bit of SFV is all
@@kuity doggo used yo play arcade with the purple cat. She isn't new to the controls. Maybe a bit rusty but she learns fast.
Botan is so calm haha, and has a great attitude. And it's been so fun watching Korone get to where she is now! CR Cup training arc has been the best 😁
I think it's the opposite. Botan is so quiet because she's focusing really hard. When relaxed, she makes random noises and laughs.
@@dkosmari I think he referes calm as really focused but quietly xD
What a timeline we live in! Hope more girls play the game so we can have a Holo tournament
That would be dope AF
I can't express how important it is to find a rival your skill level in fighting games. I hope they continue this and get stronger together.
Korone has some experience with fighting games but seeing botan do so well in this cup even tho she has said she sucks at fighting games since debut and being a total newbie going into this is friggin' wild
Really love the character development here... Korone being the more veteran fighting gamer using advanced-type of character like JP and Botan leaving out her comfort zone and straight playing high competitive game like this again to try... Really proud of them win or lose... It will always be a W for effort!
Poor dog. her nerves we're definitely her biggest opponent during the tournament
Real talk Korone just needs solid fundamentals and understanding of the game's mechanics to be super good. In the end very proud on how she performed and glad she seemed to have enjoyed herself. Great tournament and I loved the supportiveness of her teammates.
from what I see, she only needs to play tournament several times more. So she can get used to pressure. I think several times she lose because of mental pressure rather than skill.
@@bakemonosieghel5670this. You can see it pretty much in all her matches when she entred the zone she pretty much dominated but became very passive the moment she panicked. When she gets her nerves under control the sky is the limit for our DOOG
That was a great set to watch! Korone and Botan both prepped hard for the tournament and I'm glad they had fun.
Nice editing showing both player's perspective. I was surprised how quickly Botan became strong. Korone is amazing and puts in hard work. I think she just needs to become more confident. She could benefit from cross-ups instead of backing away into the corner.
I noticed that the stage is different for the other perspective, is it player side?
@@Arashi257 Stages in this game are client side. One of the reasons the netcode is so godly as they don't have to be synched just the player actions.
Some top tier editing skills. The action was so easy to follow from both perspectives.
Waited for this!
I don't know the game but it's cool to see Saruman giving his best against Femaleidas.
Honestly they impressed me i have been playing street fighter for a long time and I'm no where near as good as both of them their space control the combos the reaction times i would get destroyed by them in street fighter six it wouldn't even be close
All Korone's 3 matches were really close.. I think this one she got closest to her 100%.
this was really fun. win or lose, I'm just glad they enjoyed this.
The nerves really get to korone chan. Fun plays with the both of them. Glad to see theyre enjoying the game and hope they both continue.
They've both progressed quite rapidly.
Love "Koro-san" and "Botan-tan" dynamic
korone really likes the UB UB.
she kept jumping
Funny enough, the episode of Maruyama Game Shop that Botan was in, they played GG: Strive
Who knew over a year later she'd really fall into yhe fighting game rabbit hole!
Wowww.. What a fight!
After this very intense tournament experience for both, I'm hoping Cover Corp. could take the advantage of having their own Hololive x Street Fighter 6 tournament.
This could be BEEG deal!
(Maybe including Holostars if possible)
I think a hololive x idol showdown tournament is more likely. Free advertisement and requirement for permission etc etc etc
Man, i really appreciate the girls reaching so far and still hoping for more to come cause man they are good.
Especially botan for like knowing that JP is a zoning character and Korone using that to her advantage.
Noise please also translate nanai’s training arc video of Korone. I love that he did a compilation of how she started and ended for the tournament
Aweee
woah does each player see their own stage? thats so cool
Loving all the fighting game content from hololive recently. It's been awesome
gg!!!
Doggo and Shishi The fight between Gamers And Apex🔥🔥🔥
Is nobody gonna clip the coach/pro gamer fighting, thats a dope too
The laion is still learning.
great job by both of them.
But the Real MVP is Noises V slick editing!
Both of them were playing really well but I have to give it to Korone for using classic controls on an actual fight stick.
Something I see, Korone has a lot of bar but barely use it, with more practice, she would be a bigger menace for their opponents.
...and that´s it for fighting games until project L
Cr cup finally reaching more holo girls and not just the apex scene with usually towa and matsuri.
Such a close fight! Both are really great! While korone is already good at this and uses Op JP so well, Botan as a complete noob just a few days ago catches up real quick and using Marisa, was able to get close.
So fun to see how long range and close range charas duel each other ww
This is the reason why Capcom decided to apply Modern controls, so someone who's completely new to FG at least can compete against casual / veteran Classic control users
Anyway i hope both of them would continue to enjoy their journey at SF6 👏
I wonder what happens if they face off against god gamer fubuki...
I don't have the game but I didn't know that stages can be different on both players huh
Yep, this way the stage graphic is now completely independent from the match performance. In SFV graphic elements of the stage could cause some unfairness, and certain stages were downright banned from the official matches (Vega's own stage offers a gimmick which can be used only by Vega, the beach stage conceals any objects on the ground, the airplane stage can cause "vertigo" to some unlucky people, etc)
if they keep training and with the help of their team I wouldn't be surprised if we see them in next year's EVO since SFVI will be here for a long time.
dunno how that work since they're vtuber not playing lan could hurt themselves and evo
thats kinda hard for face reveal to the public
I do wonder if EVO could bend some rules for Vtubers(like having them in a separate room with a judge/referee. I mean it's not like it's necessary for the contenders to see each other in these games, they could do the Iron Mouse thing and have her on a screen facing her opponent so they can greet each other and so the fans could see her.) That being said I don't see this being easy to do for EVO staff, and the likelihood for something to go wrong is pretty high, honestly might be more work than it's worth, best we can hope for is more tournaments like this Crazy Raccoon tournament that are already Vtuber friendly.
@@SaigaTenshi I don't know if there are rules that tell you if you can show your face but I know that I have seen people participate with masks or other things that cover their faces.
@@edenromanov vtuber playing under the stage ?! or just behind the stage
Why do they have different stages if they're fighting each other? Is that a quirk of this game or is it like this in every street fighter?
more holo sf, this really entertaining
CQC vs ranged types are always interesting to watch, and they both apparently good at it..😂
Why is it different maps on each other screens
5:24 colors mixed up?
Korone focusing too much on her range but she always didn't use the ability that can teleport from air or the ability that shoot the ability... And korone was easily get corner if opponent good at countering JP
If she knew how to do that, she would be at a much higher level of skill play than now.
the things is korone easely panicking, that's why she can't focus at all
@@remu5376 Yeah, she tends to panic when she's in a bad spot.
Yep i wonder that too, she can chip damage opponent to death.
@@Starxsword She knew she could do that but the pressure on the real day hit her so hard, she can't even perform as 1/4 of herself on scrim day
Hope hololive have a tournament SFV
Aight, I don't play the game, but in a lot of ranked match videos I've watched, people usually use drive impact when they cornered their opponent to dismantle their guard. Why don't Botan use drive when she cornered Korone? She got her so many times too. Again, I don't play the game, so would be nice if someone can explain it.
The game shows each player a different stage, how odd
Actually pretty cool so you can always fight on the stage you want.
Was Botan's team shy with her?
I think each team have different dinamic to them. For Botan's it is more professional. Also even though she never join fighting tournament, she have join others so her temparent is under control.
not really Botan team just not noisy (except daruma) while Korone team alway swamp with ppl since day1
@@shanatan00i laughed with your except daruma because it's true 😂
She has Daigo on her team. He's not really that loud until he gets drunk, haha.
Botan was in esports in her previous life. She knows how to be efficient during the breaks, and asks for specific advice.
Korone really needs to stop sitting on gauge so much
Interesting how the game stages are different for the players.
Only took how many years?
@@Yadilie I'm new?
@@iPervyThe stages are player side now so different people can choose what ever stage they want and not have to worry.
@@anthonyrodriguez9232 Interesting good to know!
Part of me wondered if that would play any role in balance, but then again this isn't tekken or smash where the levels differ/change, so its understandable haha.
I'd take it as a latency thing to have one less thing to have to keep up with.
@@iPervy It primarily is a latency thing, like examples would be if you are a streamers some stages just have worse bitrate or can lag a bit or if you have a bad computer you can set it to the training room since it's the easiest to run. For balance it doesn't matter since in SF stage size and stuff is static so it's just an aestethic thing.
r there only these two characters?
There are more. Korone uses JP cuz Vega(Bison for the poor western folks) isn't in SF6. And JP has the same "chaos power" like Vega so she likes it.
Not sure why Botan chose Marisa as I didn't watch her stream. Might be cuz she is noob-friendly and straight-forward from what I've seen.
@@sorahow287 Easiest character in the game for Big damage, Her strength is also mainly ground to ground playstyle without having to care much about crouch or air to air strat. Burn out penalty is also comparatively better than other character because she have super armor in her charges and OD attack and very compatible with Modern control.
is botan use modern control or classic control?
modern
If you're ever curious for future fights, top left/right where the characters names are have a C/M for Classic/Modern!
just want to ask, is there any difference between modern and classic one?
@@icebreaking3336 Huge different as easy to put it you can do 1 button combo or 1 button art rage with modern
but classic you need timing , right input command as you can see in clip Korone seem to misinput her command a lot due to the nerves
@@icebreaking3336 Easiest way to explain it, if you've never played street fighter, is that Classic controls are the normal inputs, quarter circle, full circle, charge inputs. Modern is closer to Smash inputs, One button with direction changes the move you do. The biggest difference, and the reasons a lot of people call Modern "training wheels" is that there are moves that literally can not be done with Modern controls, they just arent mapped to any input, but Modern has some advantages like being able to do certain moves that people sometimes struggle with easily.
WTF is this character, stuck you at the edge of the map and chain punching people? Sh1tty game design right here.
You have no fighting game experience huh? Instead of complaining try asking a question that is worth answering and you will get one.
Um... Its not a gimmick of any character, all of them can do that. Its just a matter of your own timing/ find the right frame when to jump out or attack to push your opponent away from you to get space
Are you unfamiliar with fighting games in general, perhaps?
This is like any other Street
Fighter games. YOU must've BEEN
in diapers when these games take
over the world by the storm.
I do want JP to be nerfed, but not the same reason with you. I think the only thing to be changed is, the remote grappling. It is very counter-intuitive, so it is both very hard to correctly deal with even when expected, and also sticks out among all the other moves in the game. I think it need to be downright removed from the game, or become visually very distinct (currently it looks almost identical to a hadou).
Thats what we call a zoner and technically exist in every fighting game lol. They require a lot of strat and creativity to play because not only they need different strat depend on distance with the other player, but it is also different when playing against different characters. Korone didnt play it effectively because she only have 1 week to learn it and she got to play with other character who are comparatively easier to play, her team can only teach her the most effective way to win against other player who are technically on the level of Gold and Platinum.
