This events buying time for selly and abio to rotate into the blind spot and flanked that wipe that entire squad clean.
If Towa didn't throw that ulti out in time, those chain reaction mighg not happened and Towa's team might got wipe instead.
This is legit manga story.

Yeah. First clipper I've seen who's shown the context, even though this has been clipped so many times now
this whole win really felt like it was written in the stars. before this match, they were in 8th place with a total of 21 pts from the previous 4 matches. then in this final match, they got 21 kills. the date for this cr cup was also january 21 lmao

It's crazier than that. This was around 21pm and 21 minutes as well. The tournament started at 18pm and WAGAMAMAS' winning moment was about 3:21:00 into the stream. Granted the stream had a 3 minute delay.

and don't forget this team only won in the first match of scrim and the last match of crcup with the same meta (selly only played valkyrie in the first day scrim and the last match of crcup cmiiw) this team really said opening and closing winner

It's kinda interesting how similar Towa's 2nd time winning is to her 1st win.
Towa, Noah & Cpt were in 8th place after the 4th game and then got a champion with a bunch of kills (13 kills) to make a comeback, which resulted in Selly's team getting second place.
Towa, Albio & Selly were also in 8th place after the 4th game and then got a champion with a bunch of kills (21 kills) to make a comeback, which resulted in Cpt's team getting second place
Also saw some people that were happy that Towa, Cpt & Noah were the Top 3 this time, since they were one of the teams who won before. (CANDYPOP)

Even though Daruma pokes Mayama Tsubasa alot, when push comes to shove, Daruma always believes that Selly would come out on top at the end.
Selly is basically the Apex streamer who's the favorite of my favorite Apex streamer, Daruma.
Towa has to be really proud that her Mentor acknowledged her. She finally won with Selly. I can't imagine how happy she was at that exact moment.
Ebio hero'ed the heck out of this one. His positivity literally saved their team from having low morale. His quirky and energetic demeanor lifted their mood slowly.
It might be that this trait was what Selly really saw in him, that made them complete the team.
Congrats for the comeback, Wagamama's. You guys were the literal protagonists of the final CR Cup.
Going straight from Towa's team getting the glimmer of hope that they might have actually won from 8th place to CPT's team coming to the realization that they might have lost was a roller coaster of emotions.

game 5 was truly the perfect storm of putting together an amazing memorable moment for CR Cup. Selly obviously went sicko mode, but extremely impressed with albio and towa's performance that last game too. A great end to a great tournament series, and even though they say its the last, I hope things will turn around for Apex in the future for them to reconsider!
ebio had a few tough rounds because they got unlucky with the zone rotates (especially when they got surrounded in fragment train station bins) they had to play but i'm so happy he got to shine in the final match supporting everyone. never seen him cry before this stream, now all of AQF have won an apex event :' )
Same I think he has this I must stay strong for the team sake mentality so for him to break that it was honsetly so unexpected
even selly said ebio being positive and calls everything might've saved them the last few rounds. i remember towa saying that it was a relief ebio kept up the energy on the last round and that they didn't gave up. we can all praise selly but the teamwork built between towa and ebio on calls, covering for each other, lifting each other when each one does well is what really saved this team.
I mean, he was the same Hero who told Reimu that he will win the game for her mistake and stop apologizing, and he just did. I forgot what Apex event it was but it when when Reimu is with Ebio and +1.

I love the format of this apex tourney
Always keeping the points relatively close so that teams that are strong and consistent like cpt won't be in front of the pack by too much. By leaving the last match as a big turnaround chance, the drama is always good in the cr cup.
This is nice because these teams thrown together for three days, it gives the teams that are too strong a handicap and give other teams a chance when they are in the groove at the right match

i like the way the team skill point cap naturally encourages them to play with different people every time, and how everyone is happy no matter who wins. i think they prioritized entertainment when they came up with the rules, cuz fun is pretty much guaranteed and it'd be difficult for anything to turn sour with CR members always present, and theres a big chance that your favorite streamer wins or is happy on behalf of whoever wins or is a friend of whoever wins, or that youre familiar with whoever wins because you've watched them playing in a team with your favorite streamers before

I didn't really have the energy to watch CR Cup this time around despite it being the "last" one
I did watch some of the scrims and I watch on game day until my body shutdown after about 2-3 matches
CPT doing his thing again, Tsuna getting to compete in CR Cup (again) and tearing it up was awesome
When I woke up and saw that Wagamama's actually came back to win, that was shocking.
A truly fitting end to APEX CR Cup...hopefully it'll return someday.

From what I've seen he actually joined for the first time during the 4th CR Cup (like Towa).

A minute in some sort of bug happened when Towa picked up the flatline. Which is crazy because there is a chance her or ebio could have been downed by hinano in that fight because she didn't have her flatline to spray with. It could have been all over because of a weird bug.
i tried to listen again between 1:04 - 1:05 it doesnt seems like towa swap the weapon again into hemlock on the ground
its not a bug. she looted too fast that she accidentally picked the hemlock again instead of just the ammo.

You can hear how many times she taps and how long she's holding to swap to the flatline and it doesn't sound like long enough to accidentally swap back to the hemlok by mistake. Knowing how Apex often has bugs that don't get fixed, it's possible that it's the game having fun with its players and the bug fixers don't find it as important as other bugs to fix. But who knows lol
@@ritsur8072 Subs cover it a little, but it doesn't look like she holds twice, so has to be a low priority bug, very frustrating when you think you have an auto weapon and it's actually burst, glad it didn't cost them the fight.
Well regardless, her team has high possibility of winning the fight despite having Hemlok on her hand, because Albio is still with her while selly is down. And the last enemy were indecisive to push them while reviving 2 times while raining grenades. It's probably luck who brought them to becoming a Champion.

because selly initiated the move when he knows both towa and albio are feeling down from counting how much they have to score kills and get champion at same time (getting 20killsin match like this is almost impossible if we count rng and other team killing each other faster than wagamama team).

albio and towa start picking up the pace when they saw selly try hard to kill even if its knocking himself down. in the end its shows 2 points difference which means whatever towa and albio contributed means so much to win it.

Server issues with EA. CR Management is really having a pain in the ass about servers ever since, imagine how would they feel or the participants would feel if everyone got disconnected or the whole tournament got delayed despite doing all rescheduling of events the participants has.

Bugged. Regardless, they won the match against the first team they encountered. Towa immediately switch to the Flatline before attacking the 2nd party outside the ring.

yes but kill point goes to ppl who does most damage on that person. like hinano that dies from the circle area, she got damaged by albio so kill point goes to him. if by chance someone dies from circle again, wagamama might not have enough point to topple CPT team

It's the last Apex Legends CR cup(interest is drying up in the streamer meta due to technical BS and such, time for CR to move on and host something different) as well as Selly's team winning the final match of this cup.

Moreover, CR Cup Apex didn't get many sponsors too compared to CR Cup Valo & Overwatch so that also might be another reason. Edit: If you seen the previous CR Cup Valorant & Overwatch 2, they got support from the game dev itself (Riot games & Blizzard) While sadly Apex didn't get it. Tho i still do think CR Cup Apex is very popular and fun to watch, it had a lot of viewership. We don't know what CR is planning for future tournaments but might still have a chance just like Shibuya Hal said with previous Vsaikyou that would be the last tournament, but we will get another Vsaikyou this April.
